Ordered my usual coffee order when checking out never been to coffee spots, a latte and flat white…read more Drinks were to go so I didn't try them until I got back to the car. My hot flat white was hot. My hot latte was room temp. Guess the barista doesn't know how to use the milk steamer? The coffee was sour, not milk sour but bean sour. I can't believe I'm saying this, but just go to Tim Hortons instead. You would save so much money, and have a much better coffee.

Raw chicken. I was…read morealmost halfway through my chicken sandwich when I noticed it was raw. The middle 2 thirds of the chicken was uncooked. That was last Saturday and today is the first day I don't have dia**hea. I brought it back to the bar. Several waitresses and a manager (or owner?) came to my table and apologized profusely. They said they'd take care of the bill. I assumed they'd cover my guest as well. I was still in shock, so I didn't check my receipt. I just was my credit card receipt, and they only reimbursed my meal - I guess that's right since I didn't eat it all. They did give me 3 cookies and they were delicious. My body turned those to liquid for later evacuation. We are suffering from a serious service problem and a severe lack of resolution. I really need to learn to make a bigger fuss. It's too bad that a more vocal person that me would have gotten more out of this. Terribly embarrassing. PS: I didn't take a photo as I was busy spitting out what was in my mouth in front of my friend.

When this business was The Buttertart Factory, it was amazing. I'm not quite sure what's going on,…read morebut the standards have fallen drastically while the prices have climbed. It's very disappointing. For a while, I lived for their apple fritters. In May of 2024, I discovered that they no longer put apples in their apple fritters -- perhaps as a cost-saving measure. My family purchased half a dozen fritters, which turned out to be nothing but large slabs of dough with a cinnamon glaze. In June, all varieties of fritters (thankfully) appear to have been removed from the menu. The butter tarts, which once had a flaky pastry and an insanely good, buttery filling, have become worse than the generic tarts found in a No Frills supermarket. Clearly, costs are clearly being cut. Worst of all, the location (in Druro) has added an extremely pricey take-out stand. One of my friends paid a whopping 16 dollars for a chicken burger. No fries, no drink: just a piece of lettuce, a tomato, a gob of mayo and (an admittedly large) slice of fried chicken on a bun. I believe that the owners see this as an easy money grab, as they serve those commuting to Bancroft and back during cottage season. You'd think that for 16 dollars a pop for a chicken burger the owners would provide more than an outhouse to customers. You'd also hope that they'd make sure the outhouse was serviced often enough to prevent feces from piling to the rim. Nope. For obvious reasons, I will be ending my patronage of this establishment.

Walked over from the Electric Vehicle chargers about 200 metres to the North on a Tuesday around…read morenoon. There was not much of a line up however most of the tables were occupied. Neither did I notice much of a drive through line. My order was taken quickly and arrived within a few minutes. I asked for a Roast Beef and Cheddar Cheese to go with a Hash Brown. I decided to get back to the vehicle as I only needed about 30-minutes worth of top up charging and ate that Hash Brown on the walk back. It was warm and satisfyingly crisp. After getting back into my vehicle I unwrapped the sandwich and found it too to still retain some warmth. The bun was toasted, the beef warm, and the cheese gooey. Alas flavour wise it was all too meh. I found the beef, while warm, too much on the grey side and lacking in flavour. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh but didn't contribute much flavour wise i.e., I didn't taste them. Did the cheese start in liquid form? The highest flavour notes were from the bun and the mustard dressing. While filling, it was only just that - filling a need for food. Indeed, while I was eating the sandwich I reflected on how I had to walk past the Subway to get to the Timmies. I know where I'm stopping next time.
