The price was not outrageous, as I am cheap, and my girlfriend LOVED it. If you need birdseed, at 69 cents a pound, buying it loose, you can't beat this place either. Of course they have the usual items, but you can even haggle a little sometimes and get a REAL bargain. Last year I got a beautiful bush for 1/3 off, just by asking if they had ANY specials at the end of the year. The woman in the gardening department actually said, I could let this one go a little cheaper as long as I know it is going to a good home. She feels about her plants the way I do! And lastly, in the country, you have to deal with mice. It is a necessary evil of the joy of the mountains. I was directed to a device that kills the mice by one of the ladies inside. They're mice, so killing them is fine with me as long as I don't see their feces on my counter top and in my food anymore. She even knew what she was talking about with that. It's simple to place an order as it's done through an online form and then Joan will mail you an invoice to confirm. I then faxed in my payment info and a 50% deposit is taken prior to production of the rods. I ordered a pair of the Mira rod with the Bauhaus chase detail. The photos on their website are an accurate representation of what you'll receive. The rod is worth the price of purchase. It's pricey but I'm paying for quality, beauty and simplicity. The stainless steel rod compliments my grommet style drapes. The rod is one smooth piece even if it has a connector as the connector is directly down the middle if a center wall bracket is needed. Other curtain rods on the market uses an extension, which makes it difficult to pull grommet style drapes as there is an uneven notch in the rod. Window treatments are expensive to begin with. I'd recommend getting a custom made rod to your specification if you want something that lasts and modern looking to compliment your drapes. Cavet: If you plan to drill the brackets into studs instead of drywall you need to measure with 100% accuracy. These rods are not the typical store rods where you can adjust based on the extension. The way they lock into place on the brackets require accurate measurement. It's it's off by half or an inch then you'll be drilling into drywall instead of wood. I made this mistake, but using wall anchors resolved the issue. The package comes with all hardware, such as screws, hex drill bit and hex key. There is a note that states drywall anchors are not included since not all drywall are the same.

I have been coming here for 10+ years, always first before Lowe's because it is so clean and easy to navigate. Eileen seems to know everything about the store from memory. Andy and Brian don't sit still, they are always flying around helping everyone find the right stuff. I recently went there looking for furniture hardware to fix my bed headboard, right before the store closed. Glenn and Lou both helped me design a new bolt/nut setup to fix the pieces with stronger parts so it wouldn't break again, while using the existing drilled holes so it looks perfect. I was the last customer out as they were shutting off the lights and then I heard it was even Lou's birthday...stayed late to help me with a $10 purchase. This is how True Value earns the loyalty of their customers and takes the stress and uncertainty out of the average DIY jobs. Glenn and Lou could tell how important this repair was to me, and they gave it the same attention as a major renovation. It is amazing how cheap it can be to fix/maintain things instead of buy new ones. Take some digital pics and bring to the store and tell the crew to give you whatever you need to tackle the project. Be sure to rent tools from them too, so easy and cheap! They will even deliver the equipment to your house for you. Get Benjamin Moore paints from them too, good stuff lasts longer than junk and requires fewer coats...your time is valuable!
