Very knowledgeable on the history of the area which was awesome to hear about! Then we get on the river and with in minutes we were getting bites and having fun! We had about 50 combined hits and landed 3 beautiful native trout! Mark was kind, patient and very funny! On the way back up the river to the car, we encountered 2 other gentlemen fishing- but not having luck, Mark took the time to show them what to use and talk strategy. To me this is someone that loves to fly fish and wants to share his love of the sport with everyone. We felt his passion in the four hours we spent with him, and fell in love with the sport ourselves. We will no doubt fish with Mark again in the future!

The layaway policy, with no fees and a low down payment/monthly payment is the best I have ever found ANYWHERE! If they do not have something you want, they will try to get it in for you, if it is available. Oh, and you can get your fishing/hunting licenses there too. Sure, if it is busy or they are running multiple NYS background checks there could be a slight wait, but there is plenty to look at until it's your turn. Prices are competitive and they do run sales/host Manufacturer and Customer appreciation events several times a year. The owner, Mike is very often there and always willing to assist. One of my favorite places to stop in, which is dangerous because of the layaway.
