An amazing event in and of itself! #2: Dave makes an appointment and then ACTUALLY SHOWS UP WHEN HE SAYS HE WILL! Another amazing event. #3: Dave explains the problem and possible reasons for your appliance failure, gives you a very fair estimate of repair cost, educates you as to how to prevent a future problem, and then FIXES THE PROBLEM! (He has the most commonly needed parts on-hand in his truck.) I know all of this sounds like good old customer service, and, it is. But, in this day of Cablevision/Optimum repair guys who don't know what a customer is, or what service is, Dave is an anomaly. A one-man-band who has the experience and understanding of how to treat customers properly and build & maintain his reputation and business. I value his values and integrity. Speaking of bill, they aren't cheap. "Why would I pay more to have someone clean my clothes?" Beacuse you're getting quality. The guy who owns it, Ron, has been at it his whole life and his father ran it before him. He knows what he is doing. If there's a stain that he thinks he can't get out without ruining the garment, he'll call you and talk about it with you. He knows you by name when you walk in. You don't have to deal with some punk teenager who's going to look at you and respond to your question with, "Wut happened?" What happened, you little prick, is that no one taught you manners. They pick up and deliver (although I only used that feature a few times). I was in NJ visiting my family a few weeks ago. I figured out a few years ago that by packing perfectly pressed clothing and folding it carefully, you'll still have wrinkled clothing when you get to your destination. I iron when I get into my hotel room. Being back in the Garden State, I decided to go back to Thomas Cleaners. I told them that everything was clean, but I didn't feel like ironing while on my trip. No problemo. They pressed everything for me and I picked it up later on the same day. Note: they do not take credit cards. Weird, but hey. When I lived in NJ and went at least once a week, they ran a tab for me which I would pay at the end of every month. 5 stars all the way
