I had Kabats cut down a tree next to a fence and in between my neighbor's and our house. I was amused that they just came in with a boom and grab the tree from above and over the fence, cut the tree off, then lift the ENTIRE tree over the fence and carry it out in my yard along the street to safely cut up. Clearly, they use the right tools for the job. While they were there, I had them remove a large limb off a tree that was 20'+ in the air that was hanging over my house, with an outdoor hot tub directly underneath. There was NO WAY I was going to attempt that one myself either, and I'm glad I left it to the pros. They then arrived with a big wood chipper out on the street, ground up all the limbs and twigs (raking them up to disguise any sign they were ever there). Very good quality work - done on time. I used Dean Schaeffer's services, Local Tree Tech, for almost 1 year. He nicely performed some…read moretree trimming. His snow removal the winter of 2023-2024 was performed maybe 3 times because of the lack of snow needing removal. I had paid him in advance for the winter snow removal. That was a mistake that I shouldn't have made. Dean told me that he was going to compensate me for my large advance payment for snow removal that became unnecessary by pruning 2 front yard arborvitae and a backyard area arborvitae hedge for free. His performing that work kept being postponed by him. Then after 5 grass cuttings he decided to stop providing services for me claiming we were even up. Of course, we weren't since my arborvitae weren't pruned. Their pruning will have to be performed with another party. So, disappointedly I have lost money using his incomplete services. My mistake was that I trusted Dean. If you should use his services get everything in writing and don't make an advance payment to him. Make payments as the work is performed. Sadly, I can only give him 1 Star.

Called Travis and explained what we needed done. He got back to me quickly with a very reasonable estimate and took care of the problem within a few hours of the call same-day. My Cousin also had questions about some other tree issues in the yard. Travis made some recommendations as to how to proceed and offered to help if needed. I was hoping to remove limb above neighbors side of fence to clear some space over their yard, as well as trim the tree away from the house. Once he got there Travis was kind enough to explain that cutting the limb away would likely hollow that bit out and that I'd probably get the desired result by simply trimming away the branches growing downwards along there. He also mentioned that he could do that and if I wanted more done could always do that after I saw it and decide from there. Very pleased with the results, both of clearing a nice patch away from neighbors side and of trimming back away from the house. Will be using him again!
