He knows how to deliver a fair bid but that's all the good I can say about my experience with Tree King. Dan was almost impossible to get a hold of. Finally he answered and set up a bid appointment which was a no call / no show. I followed up with more phone calls and he did show up to the second appointment at which point he told me approximately when the work would begin. That time passed, again with no communication, despite my efforts to contact him a few days in advance. After sometimes 10 phone calls a day and multiple voicemails over the span of weeks, he answered and acknowledged that he missed starting the work when he said he would. That was the last I heard from him. This all took place over roughly three months. Doesn't matter how many times you call, text, or leave a voicemail, the guy's communication skills are non-existent. And tree trimming skills aren't worth much without them. His excuse was that he's an owner-operator and his work prevents him from using the phone. I also own and self-operate a small business and often can't answer the phone but I never let anyone go without a response for more than a couple of days at the most. Even people I don't want to talk to get called back. Don't waste your time.

I hired KC to remove a small dying Elm tree and trim some branches off a giant Cottonwood. KC gave a great price and got it done within a few days. It wasn't a complicated job, but it looks great & the price was right. One weird thing though - we had some miscommunication about the job. I don't remember confirming yes/no with him after he handed me the estimate; I asked when he could do it and said I'd let him know. I said it wasn't an urgent job, and I was waiting for another quote. So we were quite surprised to come home 3 weeks later to a nicely trimmed tree (no mess)! I'm actually glad that he read my mind and did the job - I was meaning to call him - but it was pretty unusual!

I honestly don't think you can beat them. They showed up on time within the window they gave me, got right to work, and cleaned everything up so well it was like they and the tree were never there. The whole crew was friendly, efficient, and did an awesome job. I worked with Nick, and he kept me informed every step of the way. I also loved how quickly they were able to get me on the schedule. I couldn't be happier with the work they did. Definitely recommend!

Point is if you have to fill out three pages of info. And never even speak to a person, don't waste your time. I met with Joe for an estimate he showed up on time. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my lack of knowledge of tree trimming. He told me if there was anything I seen I wanted removed while they were in the tree they would be more than happy to (provided it wasn't harm to the trees health). They showed up on Memorial Day on time as scheduled, very professional and all the proper gear. They removed several branches as promised per my request, they also cut up put to the side for me some bigger pieces I requested for my fire pit.
