They used plastic sheeting to mask off closet and bathroom contents to keep the dust down as much as possible due to the floor leveling process. I'm so glad I took her advice. I had Floor Center install LVP throughout my kitchen, dining room, and living room, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish (you can see the before and after in my pictures attached) Only a vision When I first walked into Floor Center, I didn't really know exactly what I wanted. I just had an idea of how I wanted my home to look and feel. Cesar was incredibly patient, attentive, and helpful in guiding me through the different colors, plank sizes, and styles. He really took the time to understand what I was going for, and the end result honestly turned out even better than I imagined. The new flooring completely warmed up my space and made such a difference in how my home feels. 2-day completion What impressed me just as much was the installation process. His team finished EVERYTHING in just two full days. That included demolition, hauling away all the old flooring, installing the new LVP, finishing the baseboards and caulking, cleaning everything up, and even putting all the furniture back in place. Workers were respectful I've seen some reviews mentioning concerns about contractors not respecting people's homes, but my experience was the complete opposite. We finally deiced to install hardwood flooring. Alexander Flooring were the official installer for…read moreLOWE's hardware and had replaced our carpeting. Rich Alexander came out and gave us a ton of information on what to buy and where to get it. Rich gave us so much advice on the types, brands, sellers, required methods. Our project was a bit complicated. We had the room extended and the contractor did a poor job of laying the concrete floor. It wasn't level, it had high and low spots, it was uneven. It required a lot of correction. They poured a liquid concrete floor leveling compound. Once they had the floor corrected, they laid the engineered hardwood. Originally, we considered 3/8th sold hardwood but Rich advised on the engineered floor, the solid hardwood will sometimes take humidity and the planks might change. Once they got started laying the floor they went very fast. Working as a team, one cut the planks, a second spread adhesive and the third trim cut planks and laid the wood. Something I wasn't aware of is dumping rubbish fees. The Puente/Rose Hills landfill is closed. They have to take your old carpet to a transfer station instead of a dump. Dumping fees could be well over $!,000. Alexander might not be the least expensive but consider your floor is going to be there for 30 - 50years. You might as well get it done right.
