I highly don't recommend this clinic or Dr. Eddy. I came in while pregnant with severe tooth pain. Instead of trying to save the tooth, the doctor immediately recommended extraction, saying it was highly mobile--when in fact the mobility was only slight and could likely have been treated. Just two months earlier, another specialist said the same tooth only needed minor polishing and a filling. I only chose this clinic because it was a Sunday. I'm very disappointed that no real effort was made to save my tooth, especially during pregnancy. After the extraction, I also started receiving frequent messages about implants, which made it feel more like a business focus than patient care. read more

I hate the dentist. My mother gave me trauma as a child, so I really wish I wasn't this afraid of going for an appointment. After doing some research on dentists, I saw mixed reviews but really just wanted to find a place where I wouldn't feel scared and where things would be explained to me properly. Today, I had my first appointment, and the front desk receptionist was very friendly. She welcomed me in, and since I'm a new patient, she collected my basic information. My appointment was at 10:30, and although I had to wait a bit, it was understandable the office was packed, and only one doctor was seeing patients. Which he was doing a great job with all patients helping them. I'm a little embarrassed, but I have to say the assistant who took my X-rays was very patient with me, even though I acted like a child (I believe his last name was Romero, thank you for being patient with me) Dr. Eddie was awesome and didn't scare me like some dentists I've had in the past. He was welcoming, listened to my concerns, and walked me through the steps I'd need for my treatment. After being scared and overwhelmed, I'm planning to return for my treatment with Dr. Eddie. I will want Dr. Eddie to be the doctor to take care of my treatments from now on. The last assistant I spoke with went over my procedure quotes and answered all my questions, which was really helpful she was very kind. Yesterday was my first time visiting California Dental Group so I didn't know what to expect. I saw a lot of mixed reviews and feelings. My experience at this place was wonderful, the stuff were friendly and respectful. I had an emergency which I needed to remove my wisdom teeth. I called them for an appointment and they had availability for the same day which was great. Dr. Eddie Karabedian was the dentist I worked with on my wisdom teeth. Honestly opinion, he was a amazing doctor with a lot of experience. His energy was through the roof. I would recommend you guys to work with Dr. Eddie Karabedian. Nevertheless, the same day I got my wisdom tooth out and the process only took 10 - 15 minutes. I did not feel any pain while having my wisdom tooth pulled out. this place is a scam I will be reporting them to the dental board, my father has medical and we are fully aware it does not cover implants. he when in for an implant consultation they ended up putting him on a payment plan charged him 7300 and scheduled him for surgery. my father does not speak English all paper work given to sign was in English but didn't even give a copy to take home. no instructions or post up.. i called company to go over post up for appointment receptionist mention my father was only getting dentures no implants i asked to speak to manager called several times was never available or gave me a call back i am fully aware of hippa which is why my dad was always onthe phone when we called. i explained to receptionist my dad has medical he didn't have to pay for dentures they provide it for free receptionist mention if he cancel there was a 3000 cancellation fee for impressions. this is totally wrong you lied about the procedure took advantage of an elderly person and know you want to make him responsible for a BS impression there's steps to make a denture you take an impression you make a wax bite and then a try in and then you go to deliver so there's no way that first impression is worth 3000 dollars... please make sure if you go here you get a treatment plan before you leave because these people will scam you !!! and let me tell you there denture price 7300 is very high other offices charge 2000 per denture. read more

OMG!! Life Savers!!! I went to a concert Saturday night and within 15 minutes of the concert I slipped and fell on beer. Slipped forward, hit knees first and straight to mouth. As you can see...My tooth was gone. Left the concert, I panicked and cried till 4am., was able to sleep just to wake right back up Sunday morning at 6am in tears...I felt my whole life was over...I immediately contacted my mother who said she has seen their commercials on TV...at this point I just wanted my tooth fixed...Thought of work...my husband...my life!! I got there at 9am...the staff was SUPER...I was in to see the dentist within 15 minutes...procedure took about 35 minutes. The staff made me feel so comfortable...and so did the dentist. Really!! I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS OVER!!!! This place is a rip off! They have a habit of telling patients they need unneeded work just to over charge insurance or patients . Be careful!! This is not the first time this office tells me and other people they need new crowns or work done just to over charge. I have had other dentist tell me my teeth are fine but the new office manager Vivian is a liar and works directly with dentist to over charge. They will try and seem nice with their broken down English and offer a payment plan . Very unorganized and inconsistent with appointments scheduling. I've been going here since I was 15. I was originally scheduled for the 10th of April for a cleaning, I later found out that they scheduled me for a cleaning on a day that they only do X-rays when I specifically wanted a cleaning. After that my appointment was moved to the 20th, I received a call the day before that it was cancelled. Having to reschedule to two weeks later, May 4th, just to get another call the day before that they had to reschedule once AGAIN. It is unfortunate how unreliable they have become. They are always rescheduling appointments and after the 3rd time trying to make an appointment I was asked from them once again that my appointment was canceled and needs to be rescheduled the day before the appointment. I lost my patience at this point and advice not to waste time and energy to try to schedule with them. It's a lost cause because of how unreliable they are. I ended going to another dentist and was told me that one of the fillings that I received (from this same Dentistry in the past) was poorly done and I would have to get it fixed. Developed facial palsy because of the anesthesia as I was injected in the cheek and gums. My eye is irritated, I feel discomfort on my right side. The only things I went in for were for a filling and to replace a crown. I had a very mixed experience. Short hand list: Bad- Never gave me answers for the reason I went in. (Gums, ended up doing a new crown on a old root canal) Bad- Dentist cut my gums when his drill slipped. He hadn't numbed me. Proceeded to yell at me and pushed my mouth closed to press on a cotton swab. I started to cry out of pain. I was in so much pain I couldn't press very hard. He yelled again, "Press harder." He then got up and walked away pissed off. His assistant finished the work. I never got an apology. NOTHING. I felt very violated and I have always looked at the dentist as a tooth spa. This five star review is for the talented hygienist Saul. He is very attentive, careful with his cleaning, very thorough and gentle. My last cleaning was so easy I felt I had to write a review. I appreciate his skill and kind demeanor as he works, a true gem! I've had my ups and downs over the years with wait times, billing, and scheduling at this office (a 2-3 star experience), but overall I've had good cleanings - which is the higher priority. My teeth are in good condition so I can't review CA Dental Group for fillings, crowns or extractions. I like that all of my dental records are by computer and you can view your x-rays immediately after having them taken on the televisions at each station. I needed to have my x-ray sent to a doctor and they quickly emailed them to me with no delay or issues. read more

They accomodated the appointments to our schedule. We had our appointments at 10:00 am on Saturday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The waiting time to be passed in was not long. We were seen by Dr. Saffari, by far the best dentist we have seen. My husband got an implant done the same day of our first visit. I got a cleaning done by the hygienist Saul, BEST cleaning EVER. Teresa explain to us in detail our insurance coverage and co payments, answered all our questions and concerns regarding the procedure. I chose this place due to location (walking distance from my home, 7 blocks) and I was so happy I did. The staff are friendly upon entering the facility, patient in explaining cost(s) and effective in procedures- X-ray (Nora talked me through the whole X-ray procedure and we even connected on a personal level-love her) and deep cleaning are what I had done. I hadn't had a cleaning in 7 years and its just how I remember it to be. Excessive drilling and sore gums leaving my mouth feeling lighter. I long for the aftermath... I used to recommend this place for anyone looking for a dentist and lived within 10 miles of Eagle Rock. I've been going here for the past 5 years. I got my Invisaligns, cleaning, wisdom teeth, and all other dental work done here. They used to be friendly, prompt, and honest. Now I feel like some of the dentists there are just after people's money. Like someone else's review, they told me that I had to replace several of my cavity fillings. I had just changed them out 2 years ago. I doubt there was anything wrong with them. Different dentists also had differing opinions about what work I needed done. In the end, I don't think I needed anything done, but they used up all my insurance and I had to pay some extra money out of my pocket. Another issue I have is their wait times. Even with an appointment, I've waited for over an hour on more than one occasion. I'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more

They charge a credit card that they refer you to get and then state oh we can get it credited back since you didn't get the work done. How do you even charge for something that is not done. Went here because it's close to me and I woke up with severe pain in my mouth and needed to see a dentist asap. I got an appointment right away and was told I would get a movie ticket and $100 gift card for any of their services as the first visit is free! This all sounded too good to be true, and it was. I mean I don't need a movie ticket from the dentist but you shouldn't be advertising something you ain't gonna get. The gift cards are also not for you, only if you refer someone new to this place, which I won't, then they can use your cards. It turned out I need an emergency tooth extraction so I booked it for early morning a few days later- the appointment was confirmed the previous evening for the next morning. Then I get a call half hour later that the appointment needs to be moved till 4h later, they could not give a sensible explanation as to why. When I get there there are no patients- just a bunch of crew and cameras! The dentist was nice and did a great job on my tooth which is obviously the most important thing. But I would suggest having someone stay with the patient, even after taking their money!, who is shaking and feeling ill and cannot talk and needs assistance, instead of just disappearing! There was seriously absolutely no one around besides camera crew when I finally felt okay enough to leave. Definitely can't recommend going here for the service or atmosphere, feels very much like a 'take the money and run' place like others have mentjoned- but if you're having a dental emergency they will get you fixed. read more
