At approximately 3:05 PM, I called California Check Cashing to inquire about the requirements for obtaining a payday loan. Alex, the representative, answered the phone. When I asked about the requirements, he told me that I had to come into the store to find out. I asked if I needed to bring any documents, but he refused to provide any information over the phone. I explained that I wanted to avoid making multiple trips, but he remained unhelpful, so I ended the call feeling frustrated by his rudeness. At around 3:26 PM, I visited the store for the first time to get information about a possible payday loan. Alex began explaining the process and mentioned that I needed to provide paper copies of my bank statement, pay stub, and utility bill. Fortunately, I had these documents in my car. However, just as I was about to start the process, Alex informed me that they stop processing loans at 3:30 PM. It was only 3:28 PM at that moment, and the store doesn't close until 4:00 PM. He then continued to make excuses and told me I needed to come back on Monday. Alex demonstrated poor customer service and professionalism. Ok so first off this place before it sold to this national cfcl company or whatever it's called has gone to all bad. I want to cuss in my Yelp reviews but if you do it won't get posted or count for them or against them. So I'm not rich I got a side hustle of collecting and selling diabetes. So I had a rather larger check under a grand. Always the bank or credit union puts a 10 day hold on it and only releases the first $225.00. Plus since it was a payroll check they would of charged me 10 percent. They charge payroll checks 4-5 percent if you don't have a direct deposit or a payroll card. Your better off just going to Walmart as they only charge 3 buck if your payroll check is under a thousand and 6 bucks if it's over a grand. Way better deal then CCC and I know they do payday loan I have never done one. But it cost 45 bucks to borrow 255 for 14 days or less. Your better off going to a pawnshop and getting your cash that way. Try Lodi Pawn if you need some quick cash and go to Walmart if you need to cash a check. Cheaper and California check loanshark rates for check cashing are like borrowing money from a loan shark. I saw the brochure that California sets the rates for payday loans and they make a killing off them. Stay away and their customer service sucks. If you heaven forbid need a money order it will cost up to 5 bucks. Walmart money orders are either 49 or 99 cents. Stay away and if you still get paper checks get a prepaid card or use cashapp and have it direct deposited on there. You can get paid up to 2 days early and your set. read more

My experience was horrible, first Miriam (which whome i read her name tag.) I'm a business owner I conduct a business, and that requires professionalism. Miriam spoke rudley to me, rolled her eyes, and to top off I've seen her do it to another customer. (when i went in the last time.) This place is horrible! I called in and the lady wouldn't answer a simple question about what they take for cashing a check and hung up on me. This happened a few weeks ago but decided to still write my review. I overheard the boss telling her employee that she was "the fault of bugs being in the store because she was hairy". I am most positive it was being said to the employee in an unprofessional manner. The manager Miriam just kept saying stuff to the employee and it was awkward. This should be reported!! It is unacceptable! And not the first time I have heard the manager be rude with the employees and customers. Why would you say things like that with customers around? read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! I went in today trying to cash my final paycheck from my job since my employers were unable to direct deposit it and I only have a prepaid card as my "bank account." I used to go to CA check cashing all the time years ago to cash my checks and the girls were nice and it was fast. Well today I handed the lady my check and she literally asks "did you try to cash this somewhere else already?" Ummmm no, do I look like a scam artist or something?? Rude. Then I guess she couldn't find my information so she had me fill out all this ridiculous paperwork while I'm literally holding my fussy one year old just trying to cash this dang check!!! Then she says she has to try and call my employer to have the check verified. Fair enough, call away. I know it's legit so whatever. 10 minutes later while my daughter is practically having a meltdown from having to sit still for so long the lady comes back and very rudely tells me she's not going to cash my check because it didn't look real. Like wtf??? I was beyond irritated. And wouldn't you know, I had my mom take me to her bank to cash it and I had my money in less than 3 minutes, no issues AND it was free. This place SUCKS now. I will NEVER be going back and I'm really thinking about calling their corporate line and filing a complaint. read more

#1 they need to update thier website with the correct business hours. #2 got loads to learn about customer service. when your website says you close at 8pm and someone shows up at 7:01pm to locked doors, with the lady pointing to her watch is bs . they do not close at 8pm except on friday the rest of the time they close at 7. they let two guys in and had the door locked by the time i walked 60ft. #3 ppl are busy , it cost me my valuable time and money for gas to drive 15 miles to thier store , only to find out they close a hour earlier than their website stated . i needed to cash my paycheck ,my cars thirsty , my fridge is empty, and i was 1 minute too late for them to care about. the best store is the one on hammer ln 1012 w. . they wont do you like that , and every homeless man in the valley isnt waiting outside to panhandle you like in lodi. this whole town is a joke now i cant belive the bs. read more
