We went to the store to see cabinets since it was an insurance remodel. The owner was great and eventually came to house to measure/design. That gets all the stars. The cabinets were white, beware they get stained easily, can't get stains off. The knobs I ordered were small blue crystal but the pressure to open the cabinets is too strong for all these knobs. I would have thought they would tell me that and maybe only use them on certain doors. I'm sure these need bigger knobs or a handle type. A few of the draws don't even line up and one of the knobs was stripped in 1 week!!!!!! The part for the 2 stars goes to the draws inside the pantry cabinet. They are made strong and LOOK like they will last. I'm pretty disappointed in these cabinets. read more

During our master bathroom repair and facelift, we were trying to find countertops that would go with vanity cabinetry I was considering, and we were actually steered here by a Bedrosian rep after he gave us some honest (and appreciated) info. When we made our way to California Cabinets, Jimmy was actually the one to give us info on their purchasing process and details (e.g., how much they charge to cut sink holes). They had a great variety to peruse through, and we were actually able to find/build an idea of a vanity I would love. Since we were in the storefront towards the end of their day, and the hubby was still weighing our options to stay on budget, we contacted them via email when we were sure at a later date. I don't know if our order was too small, if it's just their preference to only contact via email, or if they had an uptick in business during this pandemic, but communication was a bit sporadic (inconsistent speed). This was even after we agreed to the purchase. Thankfully they were able to let us mail our payment, which we did with USPS certified postage. Since they told us that they'd split the payment up for us (installations on quote are separate items), we were also able to mail one check. They informed us when they received the payment, and a little over a week later when they received our merchandise, we were able to schedule an installation that took 2 days. The first day was for the vanity cabinet, and the second was for the countertop. Although the installations started late on both days 'cause they had multiple jobs, the installers were great. They were extremely respectful of our home, the other construction crew, and did a great job on putting our vanity together. The final product of our new vanity is amazing. Everyone at California Cabinets has been helpful, patient and responsive during our remodel. We've used them for our kitchen cabinets, countertop, hardware, backsplash, dry bar and bathroom vanity. They are very flexible with installs and have always worked around our availability. Rob has been so patient with last minute calls and requests including needing a bathroom vanity last minute and having to reschedule an install due to an unexpected leak in our roof. I found this business on Yelp and went by their showroom to check it out. The office is tucked away off the main street so you have to rely on your GPS and your eyeballs to pay attention and navigate. Liz does all the paperwork and oversees the office. Jimmy oversees the installations. I was very impressed with the customer service and the prices I was quoted for a good shaker style cabinet were very competitive with other companies like Carpets and More, Lowes and Cabinets Now. Renovating a kitchen overwhelmed me before I chose California Cabinets. I knew I had to demolish the current kitchen, redo the plumbing and electrical wiring, install the cabinets and countertops and then do the floors and backsplash. I had names and phone numbers of multiple contractors and it made my head spin thinking of coordinating this elaborate schedule of time and availability of each contractor. The good news is that Jimmy has a few contractors he works with on a regular basis. They don't work for him, but they know his work schedule and they coordinate amongst themselves. So the first day that demo began, a plumber arrived to open up a wall. Then the electrician arrived to work on the kitchen island and under cabinet lighting. I was impressed with how little I had to be involved with the scheduling. Jimmy's installation of the cabinets was perfect. He was detail-oriented and efficient. When he said he'd do something, it would get done. I had a change on my trashcan cabinet door. He had a new one ordered and installed in the time frame he said he would. Liz was always gracious and timely in her reports. She helped me design the kitchen and made the process incredibly easy. Jimmy was easy to work with and was always courteous and polite. He's earned my trust and I felt comfortable to leave him to work on my home even if I wasn't there. The contractors he recommended all came through in getting the job done in a timely manner. I already know I'll be working with them again on cabinets for my bathrooms and garage this next year. The cabinets were designed by Jimmy to fit our kitchen and make it more functional. We can use just about every ounce of space we have in the kitchen now. I am so pleased with my finished kitchen! David was the designer and was so patient with me as I dialed in my options. I really took my time, trying to peg down the way I function in my kitchen and he was so helpful with options and glad to make any changes to the design. Jose was our installer and did a fantastic job. Super clean and professional with a lot of attention to detail. There were a couple of unforeseen delays (as there always are in this type of project) which led me to change to a different countertop, and therefore changed my original vision, but also led to a beautiful end result. Some of the delays could have been avoided, which is my only reason for a 4-star review instead of the full 5 stars. Carlos also did a beautiful job on our countertops, quickly delivering a top notch product to make up some lost time. The post-install service is what I would really like to mention--I tend to notice "little" missed details and fixes (a.k.a. NITPICKING) after the fact because I was ready to be DONE and they have been considerate in fixing every one, which I have come to appreciate more than anything. We hired California Cabinets to remodel our complete kitchen and were very pleased with the entire process and outcome. This business is locally owned by Jimmy & his wife Liz. They treat you like family and make sure everything is done correctly and on time. David was our designer . He was patient and took into consideration how we use our kitchen for the plan. His added recommendations of placement and functional cupboards like the utensil drawer were excellent! Also, Jimmy offered valuable ideas like building out the cabinets so the refrigerator looks built in. We went with Waypoint Cabinets because of the quality and lifetime guarantee. We couldn't be happier with the workmanship of Jimmy and his crew as well as the quality of the cupboards. We had visited 10 places to get estimates but we are so glad we went with them. They truly care about every detail. They also installed our granite and we are very pleased. Jimmy recommended adding the granite window ledge and I love it! It ties in the counter and makes our kitchen look complete. We also added a granite composite sink which I absolutely love! So much prettier than stainless. First off, I'm sad to say our experience with California Cabinets has been extremely horrible, frustrating and a waste of our time. Zero stars if that was a option!!! Late July we called in advance before going to the showroom and spoke to Robert Danko, General Manager. He said to come in and we could discuss our plans for our full kitchen remodel. We came in and gave Rob our measurements and discussed exactly what we wanted in style and color of cabinets, also providing our design plan. He said he'd get a quote together and set up a time to come to our home. He promised a quote the following week, along with a phone call to set up a time to come to our home. Never received a follow up call from Rob. He never came to our home. We called again in August and he said he lost our measurements and had nothing for us. He promised this was not the standard for California Cabinet's customer service, so we gave another chance in hopes he was telling the truth and actually cared about our business. So over the phone I said I would email our measurements and gave him details (again) of exactly what we want done. He said he'd have it early next week. August 24th I sent our email to Rob. Again, no phone call or email reply. No follow up or communication. I called Sept 13th in the afternoon. Store Associate Michael Graham answered the phone and said Robert wasn't in. I told him I've been waiting on a quote from Rob and after some conversation he put me on hold. Michael returned on the phone and said Rob said Michael can price it out for us. Obviously he was able to talk to Rob while I was on hold- why couldn't Rob call and speak to us directly??? Michael promised to have a quote for us the following day. He made an appointment with us, so we could come in to go over the quote in person on September 14th. We went in September 14th, Saturday at 1pm. With two cars parked outside California Cabinets before we pulled up and all surrounding businesses closed, Micheal was there and he claimed he was the only one there and said Rob wasn't. We did not believe this. He claimed Rob was unable to be there for our appointment. If Rob is embarrassed to confront us he shouldn't be in a management position. The one person who should have been there was Rob. When we arrived Michael had nothing for us. No print outs, no design plan, no quote on paper. When I questioned this he said their computers weren't working today (surprise, surprise) so he had nothing to show us but said our project could cost 14k or 17k depending on which brand we went with. It's as if he just was told to say these numbers to us. When we questioned him what the numbers was based on he was silent and dumbfounded, stumbling over his words. He was clueless when I asked what 17k was based on for our kitchen remodel. We asked: What style cabinets? What color? What size cabinets? Is that quote for 42" cabinets with stacked uppers like we asked for? He had no clue what our kitchen layout was or what plan we discussed with Rob. Michael said we need to tell them what we are wanting- we were going to lose our mind when he said this, as we already discussed this with Rob 2x before!!The more my husband and I spoke with Michael in person, the more we realized how unknowledgeable he was in the products and in kitchen design. At one point we asked how much installation would cost, and Michael said $300 dollars. $300???? Wow. We'll take it!! And if that was true and our estimate was truly 17k we probably would have taken it too. But everything was a complete joke! This is not how you do business. This was the most unprofessional place we've dealt with compared to other similar businesses around the valley. Highly unprofessional. I can't believe the owners would allow this to go on in their business. Our Saturday was wasted. Michael said he'd have a quote for us by today September 17th. But I doubt it. We gave California Cabinets our plans and measurements 3x now. Obviously they don't want our business or money for whatever reason. With our neighborhood aging in the Anthem area, we have many friends and neighbors that are considering remodel. Our negative experience with California Cabinets will be shared. If anything happens after today, I will update this review accordingly. Update: 9/21, never received a quote. read more

Our experience with California Cabinets was a mixed bag. They appear to have good quality items at very competitive prices. The laminate flooring we bought here is beautiful and durable and working out well for us. It has been at least six months since installation. The recessed composite sink is tough and beautiful as well as the quartz countertops. We shopped around. The pricing here was very good. One big problem, and maybe this was the fault of the contractor, G.I. Construction. We ordered a custom cabinet, through them. What was delivered was nothing at all like the cabinet we were supposed to get. We were put in touch with "Liz", a co-owner I believe. What ensued was the most rancid experience with a business that we have ever encountered. There is the Liz who sells you stuff and then there is the Liz you have to deal with to work out a problem. The latter is not dignified in any manner of speaking. Ubiquitous nastiness should never be part of any business model. Eventually, everyone else involved worked around her for solutions but this unfortunate experience also caused a multi-week delay. I recommend California Cabinets for choice, quality and price. But you can't always anticipate problems. Ironically, the cabinet caused the only one, and the response to it was unforgivable. read more

After looking at other stores, mainly Lowes and Home Depot, we started to look at actually cabinet businesses and we came upon California Cabinets in Henderson. We went to the showroom and looked around and ended up meeting with Rob. He gave us the run down of cabinet styles and options to include countertops, etc. We asked for quote and we set up a time for him to come look at our project. Rob came in and took his measurements. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and said we would hear back from him. He sent us the quote shortly after which included a detailed list and a nice looking schematic that looked just like our house and the kitchen that we wanted. It was cabinets and countertops with an final installed price. The best part was the price. It blew the other stores out of the water! After seeing the price it was a no brainer and we told Rob lets move forward. We sat down and went over the finer details and we ended up upgrading a couple cabinets with some extra features. Even the cabinet order time was reasonable. I got the phone call within the expected time frame. They set up delivery and cabinets were delivered to the house. I called Rob and let him know the cabinets were in and we then set up an install date. The installer arrived on time and ready to work! Before I knew it the cabinets were getting installed and they look amazing! After the cabinets were installed the countertops came afterward. We purchased two slabs of quartz countertops. The countertop looks terrific and they installed the undermount sink at the same time. My wife, being who she is, happened to find the smallest chip in the quartz right on the top edge. She happened to be running her finger along and found it. I, of course, didn't think it was a big thing but what do I know? I don't fault the business at all for this either. Two giant slabs of quartz and there was a chip about 1/4 the size of a nickel. Stuff happens. Nevertheless I texted Rob and let him know. He said he would send his guy out to take care of it. I was a little nervous about how it was going to end up. Let me tell you the guy that came out must have been an artist. He matched the countertop perfectly and there is no evidence that there was ever a chip there. I would challenge anyone to come and try to find it. My wife doesn't even talk about it anymore (whew). After the kitchen was done we ended up going back for tile install! Based on my experience, how amazing the cabinets are, and the price we paid, I would not consider going anywhere else. read more

My husband walked into and broke one of our cabinet doors. The company was out of business. Unbelievable expense to do all doors again! He took the door in to Bob Danko, the manager. He said they couldn't replace it. He suggested another place that might be able to make a new one. They couldn't. When we told him, he said bring it back in. We did and unbelievably, he patched it back together for us, dropped it off at our house, and did not charge us anything! We will always go to him for help from now on! Liz was the designer and Jimmy was the installer. Detail was extremely important to both of them, and the result was an absolutely beautiful kitchen. Out of all the contractors I've worked with, they are the best by far. They returned my emails within hours, showed up on time and just really seemed to care about their work. On top of all of this, you seriously cannot beat their prices. Every one we talked to acted like it was too much trouble to provide us with the information we needed. All operations were a minimum of six weeks product lead time and then more time to schedule installation. We took our sketch to Liz, sat down and discussed product designs and options, developed a final design and exact price list with in an hour, in their showroom. We found their product to be top notch quality, prices were competitive considerably lower than competitors, and most important to us the product could be onsite in less than two weeks with installation scheduled with days.
