California Audio Concept - Added everything needed to get it installed!! - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Bakersfield, California

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Think twice before you throw your money away. My husband went for an amp and speaker instal and right after leaving the speakers stopped working. He took it back the next day and Jay and his worker kept giving him the run around... trying to tell him that his double din was bad when it was perfectly fine. He didn't do anything to help fix the speakers and now we are out $500 and back to square one with no speakers. read more

I just went to this car stereo shop in my 1997 Ford F-250 diesel and I told him I wanted to buy a stereo and alarm from them and get it installed he said fine come over at 4pm and will get it done. do to the fact that I'm on a time crunch I bought a alarm and stereo from another place and didn't think it would be a problem for them to install it. So long story short I get there and he said he couldn't do the job cus I bought an alarm and stereo from someone else which just shows you where his mind is at and it's only in making money not helping the customers I was willing to pay for the over time my self to his workers but I didn't offer because he just wasn't a good person to deal with at the end of the day he's got that big city mentality LA bull shit should go back to LA where they don't give two F:$@@. I'm posting a pic of my truck so he can remember me at the end of the day he lost money not me it ain't my fault you have no read more

Just want to say don't ever go to California audio concept on California ave. I had them install a line output converter for my stock deck and they almost caught my truck on fire!!!!. They said it was completely done I paid and I drove away got to a store and locked the truck went inside and 20 mins later someone came into the store yelling saying my truck was smoking and the subs were booming with nothing on. I ran outside and ripped the power wire out of the amplifier. I called them and the owner was a complete dick. Blew my subs because of there install. Nearly caught by truck on fire and they said it was my fault! I was gone from there shop for 23 mins exactly! The owner is a dirt bag! Don't ever shop here not worth it! BLOW THIS UP! Great selection and they are always willing to help. Alpine and JL-Audio in the same store = Awesome.

I came in asking for information about a product. And the employee who "helped" me was the rudest human being i have ever met. It seemed as though I was bothering him, when it's job to help the customers. Never going again. I would put 0 Stars If I Could!!! Also very overpriced. Stay Away!!! read more

Dont recommend anyone going here. I needed them to tell me a problem about my stereo or to try to fix it. They denied my service. I was willing to pay the price, i wasnt rude at all. I was telling him what my stereo was doing and he just said thats not my problem to handle, I cant tell you the problem & dont come back because i wont get help. All i wanted was some help fixing my stereo or give me the problem and they couldnt even do that. Rudest people ever. I would understand if i was being rude to them or anything like that then they have the right to deny me. Dont recommend this place at all. read more

Second car I've brought in. Never disappointed with the service. You pay for what you get. They make it look super clean and sound quality is great! I would recommend them to anyone looking for great quality. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! They did a terrible job installing my line output converter, my vehicle started smoking about 30 minutes after, and the amp wouldn't shut off. Brought it back, they blamed me, the person who installed it was completely unprofessional and rude and so was the manager, Jay. We asked for an incident report waited over an hour and they wouldn't even give us that. Take your business elsewhere! read more

Back in 2016, I had them install my car stereo in my little Camry and they did it very quickly and professionally. I only had them do it because I was being lazy and didn't feel like doing it myself. I checked the work afterwards and I'll tell you what it looked pretty good. Nice clean wire terminations. read more

Best deals I've found in town tons of great products in stock and always a clean install my go to shop every time

Been coming here whenever I get a new car. Jay the owner is knowledgeable and doesn't BS you, he tells you what you need and don't need. The prices are the BEST in town. The installers are quick and do a decent job making everything look clean. read more

Not good. Prices are Double what you can buy for online. The installer broke out a plastic pieces from my car and told me "it was Like that when I brought it in" I know my car and it was not broken, also it was Directly behind the place he was installing at.... AND the wires he installed where sticking out of the hole he made. read more

I had a sub woofer put in and they installed it great. I went to pay and was quoted $60 for the install and then when I went to pay I was rung up for $110 and was first told the sub woofer box was included, then said it wasn't. I got ripped off. You can't quote a price and then charge them more and not tell them that the sub woofer box does not come with the install. read more

I had a stereo & remote start installed that I absolutely loved! 2 years later I started having an issue with my instrument panel. At the request of my mechanic to pin point the issue, I had the stereo shop disconnect all connections to my stereo. The technician and owner were patient with me explaining how they didn't feel there was any connection between the stereo and my issue. However, they honored my request and disconnected everything. They were correct and my instrument panel was the culprit. I once again went to California Audio Concept to get my stereo reconnected. They got me right in and back on the road quickly WITHOUT charging me. That was two trips into their shop that they took time to help me. I am very pleased. I will certainly buy from them again. read more

The owner was very helpful. One day they fixed my car stereo while I waited & today they disconnected the ignition combination lock in 20 minutes! Great help! Highly recommend. read more

They scrateched up my wood trimming around my stereo and afterward said they didn't do it. We finally agreed he would take care of it and then after he found out the price he backed out saying it was too much. There was also loud engine noise that you could hear when you sped up on the gas peddle after they completed my system. They said there was nothing you could do about it without buying more equipment. I finally gave up on them and took it to another shop and they found a loose ground wire that got rid of the engine noise coming from the speakers. Jay the owner sucks and the staff are a bunch of amateurs. DO NOT GO HERE OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. read more

I decided to come to California Audio Concept after discovering I could get a Viper alarm system installed in my car for at least $40 less then the competitors. I came in the day before I was to get the alarm installed to view all of the options. The owner wasn't very friendly, but I continued to look around. After making my decision I asked the owner if I needed to make an appointment for the next day to get the alarm installed. He said no, to just come in. When I arrived the next day I was told by the owner that all of his mechanics were on lunch and they wouldn't be back for about 45 minutes. I decided to go ahead and wait. Almost two hours later the alarm was installed, and I asked to have all of the old parts back. Upon inspecting the old parts I noticed that they didn't include my old siren, when I asked why they told me my old siren was louder, so they kept it in. But where was the new siren I had paid for? They had decided doing to keep it without telling me. I had to ask for it back. The next day I called to ask about the starter kill switch, and the owner of the shop told me they had not installed the kill switch. When I inspected the packaging I saw that the alarm included the kill switch. When I asked the owner why they didnt install it he said that they do not install them in women's cars because "99% of women can't handle them". They left out a piece of the alarm without even letting me know because he assumed I couldn't handle it. How many women have been ripped off because of this? I went back down to have them install it, because that is what I had paid for and the owner was very rude about it. I will not return, and I recommend that others do the same. They will try to scam you, and are not at all business like. read more

Once again, Excellent service. Second vehicle I've brought in and second review. They have JR back working the shop and he has superior knowledge about audio performance. I was going to purchase a sub & amp combo elsewhere and then called this place to see what they had to offer at a comparable price, he said I can match that, but this is what I recommend. After going to see him, he upgraded my amp (no charge) and recommend some competition subs...BOOM,THUMP & BAM. Plus had them install one of their alarms and some rear speakers I picked up elsewhere... All this done in an hour and half before closing. Thank you California Audio Concept. read more
