The very kind and helpful staff at the automotive section of Walmart really saved our bacon!…read more Literally, since we had baked on asphalt on one front tire that meant that any speed we drove over 60 resulted in a shimmy shake worthy of my sister Kate! After trying to remove the asphalt by driving one tire on the rumble strip, we exited the freeway and sought help. The tire store at the truck stop was useless, so we Yelped tires and located the Walmart automotive center. It was located behind the store so it was not visible from the street. After a few minutes of explanation they pulled the car into the tire bay. The almost new tire was fine, just coated in one spot with lumpy asphalt! We didn't need a new tire! While waiting inside the store we Googled asphalt removal and discovered the good old WD -40would do the job! We had to back out of the tire bay since the store couldn't use the product on the tire. We bought the large regular formula and sprayed down the tire. And waited a while...like ten minutes. The poet gooey asphalt started to melt, and we were able to drive away, shedding asphalt with every rotation of the wheel! Thanks Walmart for being so honest!

I don't want to ring up my groceries, don't want to bag them, get checked as I leave your store. I don't mind people who are other than US citizens HOWEVER I expect people who can speak English when I ask a question in your store. If you want US dollars then pay English speaking people who can give "CUSTOMER SERVICE " and represent your store. I have never seen your groceries go down in price ever, always up!

Outside is a Sinclair gas station with reasonable prices for the area of the state you are in. Inside you'd expect to see a typical gas station convenience store - but you'd be wrong. What you have is aisle after aisle of a complete grocery store. So many great food options and a huge frozen section. Even some clothing and apparel items. Lots of cool stickers, decals, and home decorations also. Over the years they have done an amazing job of remodeling sections of their store, expanding, and adding features. It seems like we always recognize a couple of changes on each visit. Love seeing a place pour money back into their business and help better serve their community and tourists as well. They have clean restrooms and even a cool seating area where you can eat and drink what you've purchased in the store. Some of our favorites are the pre-packed plastic cups of fruit and other snacks which are perfect for long hours on the road. They have a huge cooler section full of drinks and fountain drinks if that's your preference. Friendly cashiers and plenty of employees to answer any questions you might have. Just a great place for a stop on a long or short trip through Nevada.

All I can think is they treat tourists and folks who don't live in Alamo as outsiders and deliberately give slow service. Another great feature is having a deli area in the front for quick and easy finds for dinner or a quick bite. Store is clean and well stocked with inventory.
