She stocked wines not usually found in the local stores that were really bargains. The current owners have made further improvements, but continue to offer a fine selection of wines. With the renovation of Beale Street (Old Town Kingman), the crowds of First Friday have discovered the Wine Bar. Note that live music starts around 7pm. It gets a louder with the music, but the table within the stacks is quieter as are the patio seats. They offer a number of wines by the glass, a wide selection of bottled beers (and often one special draft provided by Black Bridge Brewery), or select a bottle from the stacks and add a minor corkage fee to cover the glasses. If you don't finish the bottle, re-cork it to go. Summer brings out the red or white sangria. Winter offers the mulled wine or other warm classics. Several local restaurants deliver to your table (e.g. Siren's & Floyd's), but check with your server for others. You can rent the facility on closed days for special events or parties.

I attempted to enter/use the business with my trained service dog, and staff denied access and/or asked me to leave. My service animal is trained to perform tasks related to my disability and is protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The staff either refused entry, demanded improper documentation, or otherwise denied access despite federal and Arizona law protecting service animal access in public accommodations. My service animal was under control and not causing any disturbance or safety issue at the time of the incident. I am requesting that this incident be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to ensure compliance with disability access laws.

We came to Calico's for breakfast after Jacob recommended it, and it ended up being so much more than we expected. From the moment we sat down, the whole experience was fantastic. Tammy was absolutely amazing. She gave us great recommendations, especially with the omelettes, and she was warm, helpful, and made the whole meal feel special. The veggie omelette was honestly better than I could have imagined -- packed with vegetables, cooked perfectly, and so fresh and comforting that it tasted like something I would make in my own kitchen. I truly don't think I could have done a better job myself. The hash browns were exactly what I had been craving: golden, crispy, and cooked perfectly. The pancakes were beautifully browned and delicious, and our little one had the blueberry pancake and absolutely loved it. Everything tasted fresh, generous, and made with care. What really surprised us was that Calico's is more than just a great place to eat. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and the gift shop is such a fun addition. We already bought a children's book for our little travel companion, and at this point we'll probably be leaving with some jewelry too. We're actually still sitting at the table as I write this because we're enjoying the experience so much and don't really want to leave yet. Most of the world is very compassionate to families with disabled children/adults, but this was not the case! I am a mother of a disabled three year old, I am her advocate, her voice. The first step is to understand the laws that are placed to protect all people with disabilities. The manager/owner, has shown injustice and discrimination at it's worst. I mentioned to the waitress that my daughter is disabled, but the mgr/owner said that my daughter was scaring her customers, that they were leaving, so I need to take my daughter outside and leave! I did mention to the mgr/owner that with the Disability Discrimination Act, she can not do that. Her exact words were "whatever". We were there less than 10 minutes, not 15, not 20, less than 10 to be exact! She never apologized. I have proof in a message were she wrote she doesn't care about people with disabilities. She has called me foul names and again I have proof!!! She told me next time in writing if you want special treatment that you should wear a sign! I am strong enough to stand my ground not just for my daughter but all with disabilities. This establishment, this mgr/owner should be ashamed for her rudness, inconsiderate, for showing injustice and discrimination!!! Everyone should extend kindness, courtesy and being human. We had a wonderful experience dining at calico's. The restaurant had a welcoming comfort and a classic hometown diner feel that makes you feel relaxed. Everything was incredibly clean, well-lit, and beautifully maintained. The food was absolutely delicious and I hit the spot perfectly. They have an extensive menu of comfort food classics, and everything we ordered came out fresh,hot and packed with flavor. What truly stands out, though, is the service. The staff greeted us with a smile immediately upon walking in, and our server was attentive, efficient, and genuinely friendly throughout the entire meal. The breakfast selection of hot food is standard, except, the French toast presentation is so good. It's like a French toast pudding. Lite, sweet, cinnamony and delicious. They have the regular scramble eggs, biscuits, sausage country gravy(very yummy) potatoes, steel cut grits and...An incredible breakfast bake. You have to try this. It is flavour rich, the texture is so light you can eat and eat. I do not like my eggs cooked hard. Just like beef the more you cook it the more like show leather texture it becomes. This breakfast bake is not like that. It is incredibly delicious. I really hate to tell people about this because I don't want to have to wait in line next time I come. Run don't walk here. Then came the Scott Downer…read more The staff at my hotel recommended the Dambar when I asked where I should go in Kingman, and this was EXACTLY the kind of local recommendation I was looking for. The place has character. Great Western/Route 66 atmosphere, people hanging out and having fun, a lively bar, hardworking staff, and really good food. And whoever is responsible for the asparagus deserves some recognition. Seriously. I don't know what they're doing to asparagus back there, but it may be the best asparagus I've ever had. Everything about the evening was heading toward five stars. Then, at approximately 9:24 p.m., manager Scott Dittmer came in and called last call. On a Sunday. When the posted closing time is 10:00 p.m. There were still plenty of customers in the restaurant enjoying themselves and ordering. By around 9:30, people trying to order additional items were being told they couldn't. Meanwhile, the staff was still working hard taking care of everyone. It was strange watching a genuinely fun atmosphere get intentionally shut down roughly half an hour before closing. So here's my review in a nutshell: FOOD: ASPARAGUS: (yes, six) STAFF: ATMOSPHERE: ENDING THE NIGHT 30+ MINUTES EARLY: The Dambar itself deserves the recommendation my hotel gave it. I'd absolutely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone passing through Kingman. But Scott -- don't be a Scott Downer. If your customers are having fun, your employees are taking care of them, and your posted closing time is 10:00, let the Dambar be the damn bar until 10:00.

Biscuits ,prime rib , loaded potatoes, sweet potato fries, clam chowder and my daughter had a steak sandwich. Definitely a great atmosphere, we left very satisfied (and I'm a picky person ).
