Loanstar is not on your side…read more Understand that just because you were pre-approved with Loanstar, doesn't mean you will qualify for the mortgage. You could lose time invested, the property you wanted, and, in my case, the earnest money. :( I received a pre-approval letter from Loanstar, but I could not provide the required documentation to qualify my income. My loan could not get through underwriting. The deal failed and I ended up losing my earnest money. Not because I didn't qualify, but because Loanstar would not provide a "letter of denial" (which, evidently, is a thing). Loanstar could have provided the letter of denial, but, for reasons that are a mystery, they would not. As a result, I had no case with the selling agent and ended up losing my earnest money. Thanks for NOT representing me and acting professionally, IMO, Loanstar Home Lending!
