I called Germain Body Shop Service Manager Josh Fosdick and told him what had happened. Mr. Josh Fosdick sprung into action by dispatching one of his tow truck drivers to go pick it up after it was released back into my custody. This is an immediate example of great customer service extended to my family doing my son's car recovery. Mr. Josh Fosdick kept my family updated on how the repairs were going throughout the repairs. Mr. Josh Fosdick and his team get FIVE STARS from me. I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how pleased I am with you & the team behind you regarding the repair work done on my son's 2018 Dodge Charger Scat Pack after it was stolen. Great job Mr. Josh Fosdick (Body Shop Service Manager) and team alongside Alex ( Car Detail Specialist) did a superior job on detailing my son's car after the body shop did their work. The repairs were completed on schedule with no delay and the results of the dedication were exceptional. As a customer , I would not hesitate to recommend Germain Auto Body Centers to others in need. Thanks again for a job well done Mr. Josh Fosdick ! Most Grateful, Jimmy S.

Body Werkes does shoddy work and has no interest in making it right. I brought my Jeep in for a…read morerelatively minor repair to the right rear corner. Carlton told me they would be installing a "brand new taillight" to replace the one that was damaged in the accident, in addition to the sheet metal repair. I thought they did a decent job on the body work in general. However, instead of installing a new taillight, they put on a piece of broken garbage that they must have found in a junkyard trash bin. I told Carlton that this was unacceptable, and he assured me that he'd replace it. I repeatedly called and texted him over the next five weeks, and his answer was always the same: a new part had been ordered but it was defective, and he would notify me when a replacement arrived. After the third time he told me this, it was obvious it was just B.S. and he was making no effort whatsoever to find the part. I eventually ordered the taillight myself through Amazon, which cost only about $35, arrived the next day, and I installed in about five minutes. I am somewhat perplexed why Carlton was willing to risk losing a customer over an issue that he could have corrected very easily and inexpensively. I actually used Body Werkes on one occasion previously, and was satisfied that time. But after this episode, I'm never going back to them again.

Carlton, owner of Body Werkes, is a deceitful, rude, and absolutely horrible person to work with!…read more"47 years in business" and no clue how to treat customers with respect and do an honest job! If you want your vehicle done correctly and in a timely manner, DO NOT GO TO HIS SHOP!!! I hit a small deer on September 14th and filed a claim with my insurance company, then decided to go to Body Werkes for repairs because his shop was recommended to me by Augustine Automotive who is one of the most reputable shops in Beavercreek, per Google reviews, and is close to home. Carlton painted himself as someone who loves to help people and does honest work, and told me my vehicle could be done in 1-2 weeks if I brought it to him for repairs. I didn't have rental car coverage through insurance and told him my other vehicle is not very reliable and needed a new tire and windshield wipers. He told me to bring him the car and he would get it taken care of for us. He quoted me $100 for repairs. Then he claimed I had a busted rim and needed a new one. I never noticed this damage when taking off the tire so I asked him how it was busted. No response. He took it upon himself to do an oil change that I didn't ask for as well. He then said I didn't have to pay him until my Traverse was done, and that he could likely roll the cost of my car repairs into the cost of the Traverse to make things easier on us. Instead, he made them a living nightmare! He kept telling me my vehicle would be ready at a certain date but when the date arrived, he pushed it back another week. He did not keep in contact with me about any updates and I had to keep calling him. He spoke down to me and even yelled at me over the phone on a couple occasions and loves to interrupt and not let you speak, belittling you and claiming he is doing all he can to help, when really he is robbing you blind, or in this case, the insurance company. He cuts corners to line his pockets, makes false promises, falls through on deadlines, and yells at you when you call him out on his dishonesty and lack of communication! He started doing repairs on my vehicle without my signed consent, left me out of the loop of any new damages found and took it upon himself to bill the insurance for even more repairs/parts without my consent, and told me on 10-13-2022 I would have my vehicle back by 10-21-2022. He notified me via text on 10-19-2022 that he was still waiting on my grill to come in (3 weeks later) and that my vehicle won't be done until mid-next week... 3rd time he has failed to deliver my vehicle as quoted. On 10-05-2022 I told him I wanted to come get my vehicle and go elsewhere but he refused and said my vehicle was already disassembled and couldn't be driven and that parts were already ordered. I was stuck and had no choice but to let him do the repairs even though I never signed anything giving him permission to do them. I contacted my insurance company today, 10-21-2022, and found out from the rep that Carlton not only submitted another supplement claim on 10-19-2022 for damages he found and never discussed with me, but then on the SAME DAY and within MINUTES of that request, he called back into the insurance company and told them the work was done and the vehicle was delivered to me on 10-19-2022! THAT WAS A LIE AND HE STILL HAS MY VEHICLE!!!!! I called him out on this and he spoke down to me yet again and yelled at me and said he never told them that my vehicle was done and tried to treat me like I was stupid and asked why he would say that when he submitted a request for an additional supplement!! I told him I'm not him and can't tell him why he lied but my insurance company has no reason to lie about this to me however, he does because with him saying I have my vehicle, he was able to submit that additional supplement and have a payment sent directly to him without my name on it as well since according to the insurance company the work was completed and the vehicle was in my possession, which is a LIE!!! He told my insurance rep that he was canceling the parts he ordered for my car to complete the work and wasn't touching anything else on it. He never said one word to me about this, so I sent him a text asking if that was true and that I'd get my vehicle and take it elsewhere to do the repairs and asked if my vehicle was drivable. He sent me a text with a picture of my vehicle missing it's front end in response!!!! He ignored my request for a detailed invoice showing what parts he used and what work was done, I still have nothing from his shop!! He then said in order to have my vehicle back, I have to pay him around $8,500 in cash or certified check for the work he has done, despite the claim estimate from insurance being $7000 and his additional supplement he snuck in for $454! So somehow he magically came up with an extra $1000-$1500 and is holding my vehicle for ransom until I pay him for work I never signed off on and never received an invoice for!! AVOID THIS SHOP!!!

So I fly back down to Arkansas to drive my car back and the first repair shop did a poor job. I saw the paint was messed up and I couldn't afford to leave the car and fly back empty handed. While in Missouri my AC stopped working. I drove a whole day without AC back to Ohio. C & H CARSTAR Auto Body Repair (Fairborn, OH) went in afterward and fixed all the things the first shop messed up or didn't repair properly. C&H were able find the issue and fix it. They kept me posted with status updates through the process. Super nice people and they did an amazing job.

Not sure just how to review this business. I waited many days before posting this review because I…read morewanted the opportunity to calm down before posting, so I could give one, not out of anger, but out of the need for people to know the truth. The employees are fantastic. They do excellent work, are always kind and courteous, and they simply seem like skilled, salt of the earth employees. I've taken my car to this Carstar twice, using Allstate as my insurance company. The first time was w/o issue and they did excellent work. The second time, however, was completely different. My car was hit by someone else, but I had to turn it in on my insurance because GEICO insisted I take it to the shop THEY wanted or they wouldn't cover the repair. I was extremely pleased, but when I got my car back after they had it for nearly two weeks, the tire low light was lit on my dash. They told me to drive it around a bit to see if it continued to cause problems, and with the holidays, it was three weeks later before I could get it back in to them, after having to fill the tire about twice a week. It should be noted, the tire was fine when I dropped the car off to them, but wasn't when I got it back. They sent it to the local Goodyear store in Fairborn for examination, but Goodyear "fixed" it w/o discussing it with anyone. When we went to get my car from Goodyear, the manager there tried to convince me the alloy wheel had corrosion, causing a slow leak in the bead. He even went so far as to try to convince me had I had steel wheels, this wouldn't have happened because "steel doesn't corrode." At no time was I told of the problem, at no time was it discussed with me regarding a "repair", and at no time was the "corrosion" shown to me. Goodyear just "fixed it" and called Carstar to come get it. The entire time the manager tried to convince me it was pre-existing, the double talk was clear, and I could tell I was being gaslighted by him. Every time I tried to disagree with him, he'd talk over me and not allow me to make my point. As we were walking out the door of Goodyear, I kept telling the receptionist from Carstar, "This doesn't sound right. This doesn't feel right." The end result was, I ended up telling the receptionist I didn't feel I should pay for this "repair," if one even happened. No one has any way of knowing because Goodyear didn't make any attempt to discuss this with anyone. The total cost of the repair was just over $23. And before anyone says it, it's not about the cost. It's about the Goodyear manager gaslighting me with "steel doesn't rust, alloy does." If you have to explain a repair with a lie, then the rest of it is suspect. In the end, I told the receptionist of Carstar I wasn't going to pay for this "repair." I made it abundantly clear I didn't blame Carstar in any way, shape or form, but I blamed Goodyear. Carstar, first, attempted to turn the repair in to Allstate (which made no sense to me, as I didn't believe the tire problem had anything to do with the accident, but I was assured they did this all the time. Allstate, of course, turned it down.) She told me she'd discuss it with the owner and get back to me. The next day, while at work, I got six calls in quick succession. I work on a call center floor and we are NOT permitted to have our cell phones out. At no time am I permitted to answer my cell. However, on my next break, I called the number back and it turned out to be the owner's wife. From the beginning of the call, she was adversarial, making a snide remark about my not answering her SIX calls and waiting so long to get back to her. And then she launched into, "We only have two resolutions to this and here's what you're going to do..." Having been married to an abusive person for over 20 years, I saw this for what it was... She is a huge bully who believes everyone should submit to her will, so I refused to allow her to attempt to gaslight me into doing things her way, which was my paying for a repair that didn't happen under my watch, but theirs. Something happened to my tire/wheel/something while it was under their care and the owner's wife wanted ME to pay for it. She then went on to tell me how much money she has, several times, because this seems to be important to her. Money doesn't measure a person, but how they treat those around them who can do nothing for them, is what does. She also said they had many great reviews on Yelp (where?) so it didn't matter how she treated me. In short, this owner's wife is a horrible person. First, my tired/wheel/something was damaged under their care, then they took it to a place that "says" they do repairs with no actual proof, and with shaky/invalid explanations with regard to what was done and why. This was all discussed with my Allstate agent and he is concerned about them turning in damages that have nothing to do with the claim. Because the owner's wife is so awful, I will never go back there.
