If you have a life that is dependent on your car, DO NOT get your car fixed here.
I dropped my car off for repair a month and a half ago and it's still not fixed. The repair was just to add a new bumper and front wheel wells. The car itself was still driveable; the new bumper and wells were more of a cosmetic fix and to protect all the important stuff in the front end of the car.
Dropped off the car around March 3, 2022 to get fixed with a 4 day estimate for repairs. Because I knew it there may be a delay for ordering parts, I waited an extra week. Time passed with no call back on whether the car was fixed or not, so I called to see the status assuming that the car would be almost done if not completely done since it had been twelve days at the time. I spoke to Jacquie, if I'm remembering the name spelling correctly, and she said they found extra damage and didn't know whether to fix it or not. I asked why I wasn't called because it had been almost two weeks since I've been without a car and all I was told was they didn't know whether to put the broken bumper back on or not. I said to have a new bumper put on and the repairs were extended another week. Not great that they would just set a car to the side and not bother communicating with customers for such important matters.
A few more weeks pass with still no update. I called at least once a week to check on my car since the text messages I signed up to receive kept changing the estimated finish date with little to no explanation why. You would think they would call after having a customer's car for a month. Especially since I made it clear a number of times I needed the car for work since I work outside of Wilson County. Once again, their communication is sub par.
I called April 1, 2022 to once again ask about my car since the finish date changed AGAIN and I had to give the rental I was using back. I stated that the rental had to be returned, the text message said the car would be done that day, and I needed my car for work, especially since I work outside of Wilson. They said they would call me back and never did like all the other times I called.
Because I have no vehicle, I now have to use Uber and Lyft to get from Wilson to work everyday and spent almost $1,000 last week in rides when I shouldn't have to because it should not take a month to put on a bumper. I called again April 12, 2022 to make it known that I was moving back to my home state on Monday and needed my car back as soon as possible to move. Again, they said they would call back right away and never did. So now I am stuck taking Uber and Lyft to work again and I may be stuck in North Carolina without a proper home due to them holding my car for what is now a month and a half.
It should not take this long for a simple repair and if anything is wrong with the car, they are not communicating it. Had I known I would be spending so much money on rides, I would have just driven around with the broken bumper until it was time for me to move and have someone more competent fix it.
Do not take your car here unless you work in town and have people to help out and drive you around. But if you're someone like me that works out of town and needs your car to make your money, then look for body work at Auto Body of Wilson or some other body shop and see if they would fix it. If you take your car here, be prepared to not see it again for a very long time. read more
