I had to deny pickup of my vehicle twice from Caliber. The first time I went to pick it up, the paint job they did on my front bumper was terrible-- there were bubbles/dirt in the paint, and it was chipping away. On my second attempt at picking the car up the chipping paint was still not fixed, and now there were two new scratches on the hood and quarter panel. I didn't have my car for two weeks, thankfully my rental was paid for by insurance, and the whole ordeal was taken care of because of Caliber's lifetime warranty on work. The office employees were also screaming at each other, one began to cry while I was there, so the way the office is managed isn't exactly professional, and reflects the work. If you need work done promptly, and correctly the first time, this is probably not the place to go. This was FAR from my best experience from a body shop.

You can't go wrong. Not to mention their waiting room is very comfy and has large cushioned seats while you wait. They also have a fair price on gas also. Even if they are out of your way- worth the trip. Not to mention staff are very friendly.

While he cannot work on all of them he is actively involved daily in mentoring and training all of those he hires. He is 100% responsible for all work leaving his shop. He recognizes many of the chain businesses do not have the same commitment to service as one that bears their name. If you want an opinion on a car you are purchasing, they are the place to go for a pre-purchase inspection, if you are looking to have your car repaired right (and the first time), they got the place to go, if you want to deal directly with the owner of a business, and not just someone who manages it, they are the place to go. Before towing the car over, I called and explained to them that I had seen an anti-theft symbol on the dashboard before the vehicle turned off and wouldn't start. I also confirmed that this was something they could handle, and they assured me it was. The next day, I received a call informing me they would need to keep the car over the weekend because it still wasn't starting. On Monday morning, they contacted me again, saying they had used the one hour of labor to diagnose my car and would need another $165.45 to run more tests. They couldn't even guarantee these additional tests would identify the issue. From their report, it was clear they never got the car to start in the first place, so I'm skeptical about what tests they could have actually performed. Think twice before taking your car to this shop; they seem more interested in scamming people and taking their hard-earned money.

I will start this review by stating that the body work came out "okay," although it was just minor…read morerear quarter panel damage with some driver side rear door damage, which happened as it sat in a parking lot. However, that is the only positive thing I can say about this place (even though the body work was okay, it blew my mind that they left a white waxy substance on the inside of the gas cap cover which was the first thing I noticed). And instead of parking the car outside the front door where a normal pickup would be, they parked it near Route 42, making sure I got some early-morning exercise in by walking out there. But worse, whoever parked it that far away also parked it so close to a hardscape wall that my door hit the paver wall when it opened; and I did not even open the door that far! Unbelievable -- at a body shop no less!! When I made the appointment (you better be on time!), I immediately felt a sense of gloom and low morale. The guy who handled the estimate was rude, abrupt and overall miserable. Because Labor Day was the following week, they made the pickup date almost 2 weeks from the dropoff date (knowing that I did not have a rental car on my policy, that was hugely inconvenient). Then, I asked the estimator if he could give me a separate estimate for a new bumper, which gets beat up from parking lot concrete blocks that are sometimes too high for the Camry bumpers. His estimate was mind-boggling, extremely high! I also asked, just to have a baseline price, how much a new paint job would be. He outdid himself on that price, also! The worst part may be the woman who works in the front. She had an ice cold personality and I felt she was very nasty and rude (before you even open your mouth to talk). The description "very harsh personality" comes to mind. When she called to tell me it was ready, I felt I was being scolded. (In fact it wouldn't surprise me if I found out she was the one who ordered my car parked far away from the business just out of spite for me mentioning the extra-long time they planned to fix the car. The payment transaction was quick, but that's because she was slamming everything on her desk, moving quickly as she took the payment. I literally could not wait to get out of there!!
