We dropped our van off to have the rear bumper repaired, after having been rear ended. Caliber collisions kept delaying the date we were meant to have our vehicle back, with little explanation as to what the issues were. All we were told was that "the person who was working our case is no longer working there." The quality of the repair is fine, we are just very dissatisfied with the timeliness of repair and communication we received from the company. read more

I was hit by a truck on the drivers side damaging my rear door and quarter panel and the rear wheel on the passenger side. I decided to go through their insurance since they were fully at fault. Having had a good experience with Caliber from an accident I was involved in many years ago, I chose them as the repair place for my vehicle. Having conveyed my worry to the insurance company that prices would not match up between the insurance adjuster and the body shop, I was told by the insurance company that the adjuster would work with the shop for a consensus on the estimates. I felt relieved to know that things would be taken care of between them. The adjuster and I walked around my car to assess the damage. I pointed out the doors and quarter panel, the mold accumulating on the drivers side, and the passenger real wheel damage. My car was towed to the shop for work and I was busy trying to secure transportation for myself. I assumed that the information would be conveyed from the insurance adjuster to the body shop. I was wrong. I learned later through Michelle that none of this information was conveyed to her and that It was my responsibility to tell them all these things. I received a high level estimate of repairs via text message from the shop. I called Caliber to ask if I could get more details about the repairs being done. Instead of sending me a detailed list, the project manager went over the repairs orally instead. I noticed immediately that there was no mention of the mold, so I said to her that it had been raining for several days and that my car had been sitting for almost 3 weeks before it got there. Mold was visible all over the driver's side. She said to me that no one told her about this. She later told me that since the seal around the door had not been broken there's no way that mold was due to the wreck. The door had a whole piece ripped off in the center and there were bent parts such that I couldn't open the door, but this lady is saying that there's no way. She told me that the insurance company denied that part of my claim. This was because of her ridiculous assessment. At this point I'm just hoping that the mold hasn't gotten too bad when I get my car back and I can just get it cleaned well. I received a call from Caliber a couple weeks later to let me know that my battery will not hold a charge and that it needed to be replaced, was I willing to pay for a new one. I don't think that a car should be sitting for a month and a half like that and the battery expected to be fine, but what do I know. So, I have mold in my car and a battery to replace. The day finally arrives when I get a call from Caliber letting me know my car is ready for pick up. I was told I could leave the rental with them, but I chose not to because I really don't want to have a surprise charge since Enterprise had my card on file and I wouldn't take the chance on a timely return by them. I go to pick up my car and hurried to get back to work. I get to my job and noticed that the wheel that was damaged had not been replaced. I called caliber that day to let them know that I just noticed it. Caliber called me and scolded me for not telling them that the damaged wheel was the one to be replaced. Though the wheel they replaced was actually new (and not damaged at all, and the damaged wheel still had paint from the curb all around the edges they had no way of knowing that the passenger wheel was the one to replace. I couldn't believe that I was being yelled at. I explained that the insurance adjuster and I did a thorough walk around, pictures were taken and asked it whether they received the information from them. They me it was my job to do that. I insisted that had I seen a detailed list of work I may have caught it. The project manager responded that the estimates they sent had details-I can assure you that it is not a detailed list. I didn't get that until I picked up my car. She then asked that I not take the survey until things were resolved. To add insult, my car had dust all over the inside from the work done, the emblem on my steering wheel had metal paint chips flaked off onto the steering wheel, and whoever worked on my car left trash from lollypops they were eating in my center console. And of course, the mold that mysteriously arrived after my car door was ripped off. I wrote to the community manager and never received a response. They just never responded at all and I guess I'm supposed to just go away and accept that they removed a perfectly good wheel on my car and left me with a damaged one. I have never seen such poor communication and disappointing service from a collision center. I hope they enjoy the $250 they made off my wheel. They have lost my business permanently and I will make sure that I warn anyone I can so they don't go through the same ridiculous thing that I did. read more

I was directed to Caliber for an estimate from the insurance company. They ended up doing the work and did a good job with the fit on the replaced parts however, the finish on a replaced fender is rough feeling as well there is over spray on the side that was damaged and inside the car. It's a gritty feeling on the chrome and flat plastic inside and above the door outside And the replaced fender. I took it back to refinish the front door edge and the rear door sill and they did a good job but the over spray still remains. I guess the car wash will eventually wear off the outside and a constant wiping will do the inside. The manager Jordan, took care of the last refinish was very helpful but I don't want to keep taking back. This is a 2023 Cadillac with 6000 miles on it. read more

I will never have to look for another body shop again. This location is OUTSTANDING. I put my 2021 Toyota in their shop on Monday and they had it ready by Thursday. I was having a great experience having my vehicle repaired until I was missing from the very clean cargo area of my SUV. I'm makes me wonder about other items that may have been taken as well. This was my second trip to have a part that was on backorder installed and I was only there for an hour. Recently took my car here after being rear-ended on the beltway. Just so happens that it was just down the road from house and very convenient, so that's why I went there. I've never had to have body work done before, but I can't imagine the process going more smoothly. They took my car on a Tuesday and had it completed the following Tuesday. During the process, I received 3 update phone calls just to let me know the status of the repair job and that they were still on track for the promised completion. As far as cost, I can't comment on how they compare since i have never had body work done before. And since insurance was taking care of everything, I didn't bother shopping around. Based purely on their customer service and quality of work, though, I'd definitely recommend them. read more

My husband got hit on February, 2020 and we took our car to the closest but also a place that could take our car right away. The staff there was great. They greeted us, asked what happened, let you explain in detail. We were not rushed explaining anything but also they asked us more questions that we didn't think about. The car was done in timely manner. It was finished prior to the estimated date. The service and work done was phenomenal. I will take my car there again for any body work. They are very friendly and willing to help in any situation. After the accident, we ran into my car having trouble starting (plus other things) and we called the dealership and few other places and then we called Caliber asking them if they could look into the battery and alternator (might have been damaged in the accident). They took our car right away, tested the battery and alternator. Final conclusion was the battery, they recommended where to get one and they put one in for no fee compare to other places who wanted to charge us to just to check the battery/alternator. Like I said, great shop, great people and I would recommend this place. My car runs perfectly now. read more
