Our experience with Caliber Collision was great! We had damage to our BMW 328iX from a fallen tree branch. We made the repair appointment and Caliber arranged a car rental for us. We received a daily update from Tuan Le on the progress of our repairs. One day, we were very pleasantly surprised by the update informing us that the car was ready for pick up... nearly two weeks sooner than we expected!! Well, it's official: the most expensive gallon of milk I've ever paid for cost me $504 dollars (thanks, deductible!). Thanks to a combination of a labyrinth of trucks clogging up the parking lot of my local gas station, as well as a rear-view camera being whited out by the dawning sun, I ended up backing into a parking pole and doing enough damage to my Highlander's rear lift gate, that it required it to be replaced. Having rarely needing body work before, I shopped around on Yelp before I selected Caliber Collision to deal with the damage. This particular location was close enough to both work and home, and knowing I would be completely without a vehicle for a while, this was the best option. Originally I worked with a gentleman named Jordan, but he would eventually be replaced by Scott, as the former would end up leaving the company before my body work was complete. After an initial assessment, I was told it would take 3-4 days to complete the repairs, once the parts were ordered and had arrived. Jordan placed the order, informing me that they would arrive in a couple weeks, and since the car was drive-able, to return once they'd arrived. I did just that, as Jordan's prediction was right on the mark. I took a few days off from work, hoping to return once the work was complete. Unfortunately, the first of two complications reared its ugly head. Turns out that, after disassembling the vehicle, there was slightly more damage than was visible from the exterior assessment, meaning an additional part had to be ordered. Predictably, this part was back-ordered at Toyota, due to the worldwide shipping crisis that is still ongoing, so an estimated arrival date was near impossible to predict. Thankfully, Jordan had the car re-assembled and returned to me, so that I would not be without a vehicle during the waiting period. As I did not have rental car insurance on my car's policy (hell, I didn't know I didn't have it, and I quickly rectified that immediately after discovering it), I would have been dead in the water without Jordan's help and understanding. Over the next two months, I received regular updates from Caliber concerning the status of the part, which finally arrived in early December. Scott, who had taken over for my case, helped me schedule my new service appointment, and ensured that the work was completed by the quoted date, allowing me to make arrangements to mitigate disruption to my work and home life. Four days later, the car was returned to me, repaired, cleaned, detailed, and looking as if I'd just driven it off the dealer's lot! Obviously, things weren't perfect, but the things that went wrong were wholly out of Caliber's control, and every aspect of the service in which they participated could not have been simpler. They managed to explain everything, from the work, to the expected timeline, and even the logistical nightmare of receiving the required parts, with confidence, courtesy and care. They even paid for a couple Lyft's to work, after I'd dropped off the car for service. I can't see any reason why I would ever need to shop around for a different body shop, because Caliber excelled in every category. Even so, I hope I never have to patronize them again, because I simply cannot afford to buy milk at these prices! read more

Even though it took time to get the parts needed for my repair they got it done ahead of the estimated time. The service people were very patient, kind and considerate with every interaction I had..in person and over the phone. They interfaced with my insurance company so that was seamless. General feedback on my experience with Caliber Collision. My (non-Tesla) electric vehicle was involved in an accident on 12/3/22, I scheduled an in-person appraisal for 1/3/2023 at a local Caliber shop. I received the appraisal and scheduled the repairs at the Caliber Collision Center on Mill Plain Blvd in Vancouver, WA. They were busy and scheduled the repairs for a couple months out on 3/7/2023. Today we show up to drop off our car for repairs and the receptionist who helped scheduled the service a couple months back informs us that their shop does not do repairs on electric vehicles? Another person came out to help explain the reasoning but none of this was told to us when we got the in-person appraisal, nor when we scheduled the repairs, only after we waited for 3 months on the day we drop off the car. The shop inspected the vehicle, had the VIN number, and the estimate says our car is an EV. Maybe they can do work on EVs but are too busy? There's no signs or documentation anywhere at the shop that says they don't do repairs in electric vehicles. If I had known this months ago my car would have been already repaired at a different shop. There was no apologies, just can't do it, not sure where you can do it, and sent us on our way. We are back to square one on our repairs. Anyways there has to be a better way to do business. Maybe better marketing, or communications on the limits of your shops. Better systems to flag appraisals for specific Electric Vehicles. I can't imagine I'm the only person this has happened to. Just disappointed with this experience and some of the incompetence in the people at the local shop. read more

First the positive: They keep you well informed of the process via text messages. That was the only positive for me. I was hoping for some sort of follow-up call but didn't receive one so I offer my constructive criticism here. I was out of state so my girlfriend picked up the car and brought it home and garaged it. Upon my return I checked it out and was very disappointed. My car used to smell brand new as it was always garaged with low mileage. Now it smells like cigarettes and rotten vegetables. It was also disgustingly filthy inside and out. There was a pound of vegetation on the air intakes below the windshield and even a dried up mud puddle on the rear floor mat. There's some kind of overspray or contaminant on the hood (which wasn't repaired) so when you rub your hand on it it feels and sounds like sandpaper. There are so many defects/inclusions in the paint it's obvious that it wasn't sprayed in a paint booth or at least not a real one. The real kicker that proves these guys aren't very professional is that my muffles now hang about two inches too low indicating to me that factory hangers weren't used or are improperly installed. Also one of the reflectors in the bumper (the bumper was supposedly replaced) is loose. On a test drive I could hear something rattling coming from the back seat on turns and over bumps. This was very irritating. Upon closer inspection trying to find the cause I noticed that the rear seat is now no longer centered and the cause of the noise was one of the seat belt buckles was missing, left under the seat. Please keep in mind that these are only things my amateur eye has discovered so far. No telling what a competent repair shop will find. read more

My car went into the shop Monday and I got it back by Wednesday afternoon so basically two and a half days. The turnaround time was amazing. The communication was by texted as I opted in for text progress reports. I thought that was pretty cool plus they provided a free rideshare ride back home after I drop my car off and also another rideshare ride back to the shop when it was time to pick it up. The estimate was dead on. And although it's day one right now of getting my car back the repair looks awesome . I was influenced by many very positive reviews, which probably were justified. My experience was very different, very negative. The physical work appears excellent. The customer service was abysmal .. rude, abrupt treatment (nearly non-verbal hostility) from the appraiser/adjuster, to being told the car was ready for pickup on Friday and finding on arriving Monday mid-morning that it wasn't ready and needed several more hours work .. whoa, who's gonna drive there twice .. and suppose I needed it on Friday? Terrible, totally unacceptable. Manager brushed it all off with, "well, sometimes my employee has a difficult day." SUGGESTION: If your experience doesn't seem to start well, ask to speak to the manager and have someone else inspect your vehicle before you leave it in their hands. read more

A young child opened her car door to get out and it hit our car causing a big dent and scraped paint. We were in a real time crunch and Caliber said they could get the work and repainting done quickly. They had a rental car brought to the body shop for us to use. Caliber Collision fixed the damage on my vehicle from an accident, but when I received my car back, the key could no longer be used to activate my car alarm. (This definitely worked when I dropped the vehicle off for repair). After weeks of this issue dragging on, ultimately I was told it was "a coincidence" that this stopped working while the car was in the shop and any repairs would have to come out of my pocket. Had I known this would've happened, I would've never chosen to get work done at Caliber Collision. "Restoring the Rhythm of Your Life" is just a slogan; every time I lock my car, I'm reminded of this experience. I'd recommend taking your car elsewhere. read more

My experience with this company is that they are welcoming from the time you walk in. They assessed the damage to my vehicle and gave me the estimates, timeline for the work to be done and provided me with the rental car onsite the day I left it for the work to be done. They provided text message updates on the work and when it would be ready which was a day earlier then quoted.
