I went to Caliber Collision because it was the closest body shop that the insurance of the person who hit my car covered. My car was fixed and is fine, it was minimal damage, but I had horrible communication from the staff. When I dropped my car off at the shop, I asked about getting some rust spots fixed while they were working on it and if they could give me an estimate for that. The guy said that he would call me once they looked over the car. I never received a call so I figured they wouldn't be doing it. When I came to get my car, I noticed that they had fixed it without giving me an estimate first so I wasn't expecting to pay for it. And if I had known what they charged for it, I wouldn't have gotten it done. I paid for it because they did it, but I do not think it was right that I was not given an estimate and the option to have the service done. Furthermore, all updates about my vehicle were given to me through the insurance company covering the service. Not once was I given a call from Caliber Collision directly. I would not recommend this body shop to anyone and would advise you to look elsewhere. read more

My insurance recommended this shop. The repairs were done and they look great. There was no way to get a loaner or rental in our city, so I was without a car for almost three weeks. Over Christmas I had to depend on neighbors and my nearest relative an hour away to manage. I think there might be a need for better customer service. read more

Was referred to this place by Progressive. Damage to driver's side door/mirror. Truck went into the shop at the end of August. Still have yet to get our truck repaired. They had us email the quote that THEY had given to the insurance adjuster to order parts before having us drop off the vehicle the following week (could still use our vehicle in the meantime). Called to ask what time to drop the truck off and not only did they not order the parts, they had absolutely no recollection of the conversation (spoke to Todd, the owner). Okay, fine, we will resend the quote to get the parts ordered. We drop the truck off a couple of weeks later after they tell us over the phone that the parts are in. We drop it off in the AM one morning and they have no idea our truck was needing to be fixed. Even though they (Todd) told us the parts were in and it was a "24 hour job" but it could take "up to 6 days". Whatever, we just need our vehicle repaired. There CONTINUES to be problem after problem. They say its hard to find a door for the vehicle, then another staff says the door is in they are waiting on the mirror, then another tells me that the door was rejected for rust and they are looking around the entire state of WI to try and find another door. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD TO CONTACT THEM. THEY NEVER RETURN CALLS OR ANSWER THE PHONE. We have even had to stop in and catch them in person. They tell us Todd will be in touch, we hear nothing until we call days later to ask and speak to someone. We made complaints with Progressive who told us they are only a preferred repair shop they could make a note about our experience but that's it. We asked to just cease working on the vehicle, we wanted to go to another shop, that this was ridiculous. We were told there could be a restocking fee for the parts...that they don't have....that never were ordered. Pay to restock what? Spoke with another person named Derek (?) after DAYS of not returning calls to us to provide an update (which they said they would do because of the difficulty we have been having with this entire repair overall) and was told he'd have to contact Progressive to let them know they can't find a door. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP. There is no communication, very poor customer service and responses when speaking to them (attitude) are awful. Just do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for repairs. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. This isn't us trying to be a******* about our bad service or us wanting to get back at them or anything. Trying to save other people from what we're dealing with. If quality customer service, communication, and speed of repair are NOT important to you, this is the place to go.
