Possibly you've rear-ended a police car on an icy day. After a giant snow fall you tried backing out of your driveway onto a snow covered street only to back into a parked car. I'm not saying we've done any (all) of these things, but I'm just saying in case this happens, where do you take your vehicle to get it repaired? Auto Rehab Crash 1 has done a great job on the three vehicles I've taken to them. You can't see any of the damage that was done when they are finished. Every time I've called, they have been polite and courteous. They have worked with my schedule. If I have to leave a message they respond quickly. The best part is that they do back their work too. Two days before Christmas '10, I backed into a neighbor's car. My Silverado's bumper and bed was damaged. I scheduled the repairs at Crash 1 and with in a couple of days of dropping it off, my truck was restored to like new condition. You couldn't see any damage at all. Flash forward to a couple of weeks ago. The pad on the bumper started coming off, I took it back to them and with out any questions or excuses they made the arrangements to fix it with no additional charge to me. I dropped it off this morning at 8:00 AM and was able to pick it up at lunch time. Everything looked good. They told me that if the same thing should happen again, bring it back and they will replace the entire bumper. I know some people will think "They should have fixed it right the first time." I think they did, I believe that the pad they used came off the old bumper per the insurance company and it had been damaged in a way that neither saw until the temperatures were in the upper 90s and it warped. Things happen, and they took care of it. Whether it was their mistake or uncontrollable circumstances, they made it right.

When you have bad luck with cars like I do, living close to a place like Caliber Collision is a…read morereal blessing.  Even if you don't live close, choosing Caliber for your auto body repairs is a wise decision. For the past couple of decades, my vehicles have been magnets for people not paying attention, even a loose road reflector and a flood.  I have experienced working with numerous body shops over the years.   Since 2014, my vehicles have been rear-ended about a half dozen times while sitting still, sometimes at intersections and sometimes while parked with nobody inside. Back in June, a Doordash driver backed into the back of my wife's 2016 Jeep Cherokee with his Chevy Colorado truck, causing about $6k in damages to it.  He took off.   Knowing Caliber was nearby and my mom had used their services before and was quite pleased, I took it there.   I was pleasantly surprised at how well Tammy kept me up to date with the repairs.  In fact, Tammy kept us more informed with text updates than anyone else involved in the situation, including my own insurance company.  Doordash was a useless nightmare to deal with, but that is another story... 6 weeks after getting the Jeep back, looking like new again, my son and I were rear-ended at a traffic jam by the Festival of Lights on opening night by a kid who had just gotten her license, had friends in the car with her and wasn't paying attention.  Her car was small enough so that it not only damaged the rear bumper and lift gate but it then wedged itself underneath the Jeep destroying the exhaust system, causing about another $4k in damages. Although we requested the towing company take it straight to Caliber Collision, they refused and took it back to their shop, holding it hostage until my insurance company or the at fault party's insurance company paid their insane fees to release it.  Again, another story.... The insurance companies dragged their heals and we wanted to get it done before the snow started falling, which is why we purchased a 4WD in the 1st place.   We let Kelly at Caliber know what was going on, as she had also been in contact with us and she amazingly had our Jeep back to Caliber within an hour or so!  They fronted the cost for insurance to take care of later.  This was a weight lifted off my shoulders already! They had the repairs done fast and replaced the 5yo exhaust system, which can only be a plus.  Tammy and Kelly, again kept us informed the entire time and it looks and drives like new again!   Of all the repair shops I have dealt with over the decades, Caliber Collision is by far the most professional, reliable and dependable I have ever worked with.   I have no doubt that I will need repairs again down the road and I have no doubt that we will not hesitate to return to Caliber Collision when that time comes.

Great service, and I loved the regular text updates and follow-ups. These guys are pros!read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I had my 2002 Chevy Camaro fixed here 8 years ago. When I…read moreoriginally picked up the car one month after they originally started repairs, I immediately noticed that some of the door trim pieces were cracked as if they had been pulled away from the body at a 90° to remove them. I pointed it out and they ordered replacements, no problem. I was a happy customer. Now, 8 years later, I've moved to Arizona and car starts overheating. Assuming this has something to do with the extreme heat and needing a different thermostat, I replace that. The problem persists so I take it to a shop. They were able to find the issue which was caused from shoddy repair work. Apparently, over the last 8 years, my wiring harness has been rubbing on part of my frame because it wasn't routed correctly after the repair, severing the wires to one of the cooling fans. Mind you, the repair shop I took it to called ME to ask if the vehicle had be ever been in an accident. So I call Parson's -mostly because the accident wasnt my fault and being 8 years ago I have literally no idea which insurance company the repairs were handled through. To say the representative on the phone was unhelpful would be an understatement. I was actually told "Well, you should have come to us long before 8 years after the repair." ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME? The issue was just brought to my attention and had I stayed in Rockford forever, I probably would have never noticed until a wire to something more serious was severed. I'm not in the business of repairing cars after accidents YOU are. And it's YOUR job to make sure you have competent people doing it, similarly to how it's my responsibility to make sure I'm competent at MY job. Which has NOTHING to do with automotive repair. Maybe, if you'd have fixed the car correctly E I G H T Y E A R S A G O we wouldn't be having this conversation and you wouldn't be getting a bad review. On top of this, I originally put this review on Facebook and one of their sales people, Bill Foley, reacted with a "wow" reaction, then blocked me from their page. KEEP IT CLASSY, PARSON'S.
