I have been to numerous places to have my car worked on and I always dread it. It is worse than going to the dentist. But once I pulled in to Caliber I was greeted with nicest woman at the desk who checked me in and told me to help myself to some coffee while I wait for Tyler to come out and assess my car. As I sat drinking my coffee and reading a magazine I was interrupted by the cutest human being. Tyler welcomed me with a big smile and walked me to my crunched up car. He told me everything would be okay and made sure I stayed positive. The bid came in a little under the competitive bid, but honestly even if had been a little higher I probably would have paid it because I felt safe bringing my car to Caliber. I dropped my car off on December 23rd and didn't get it back until January 12th. The original completion estimate was December 30th, then it was pushed to January 2nd, then the 5th, then the 6th, then the 8th -- and I only got clear answers after I called and pressed for an update. I understand delays around the holidays, but most of the hold-up was due to the shop ordering the wrong parts multiple times. When I expressed frustration, I was told "it happens in the parts world," which didn't really address the impact on me as the customer. The repair work itself looks decent, but the timeline estimates were far off and there didn't seem to be much consideration for my time. They also do not provide loaner cars, so you're left paying out of pocket without any reliable idea of how long you'll need one. If you use this shop, just be prepared for delays and plan transportation accordingly. read more

Had my car for way longer the what they said they would. They were supposed to be done on 3/11 now not finishing until 3/16. I'd recommended going anywhere that they know what they are doing and don't take 30% longer than the estimated time. Pick up was even worse told to pick up my car at 5 it is now 5:50 and still no help. The lady at the desk has been the worst person to deal with very rude. Told me my car would've done in 15 minutes still had been over 30. NEVER COME TO CALIBER. read more

I called ahead of time and specifically informed I needed windshield repair and it will be out of pocket. They advised I could do a walk in or book an appointment online. I sent my husband to the appointment where they don't do windshield repair there and gave a mobile service number for caliber auto glass. It was a waste of both our time! Honestly, you'd be better off letting a blindfolded toddler armed with finger paint and a hammer handle your repairs. If Yelp allowed negative stars, this location would be drowning in them. Buckle up--it's about to get spicy. My husband was in a car accident. Life happens. But instead of moving forward with a nearby location, we were steered (pun intended) to *this* hellhole in Rancho Cordova because they're supposedly "better equipped" to handle Fords and are contracted with our insurance. Hindsight is 20/20, and choosing them was akin to pouring gasoline on a dumpster fire. The nightmare began smoothly enough: a quick estimate in mid October and a promise that they'd need until October 28th to fix the car. Fine. Reasonable. Peachy, even. They assured us all parts were pre-ordered and ready to go. But folks, let me tell you: it's now **November 15th**, and our car is still trapped in their incompetence factory. Why? Because this operation is run by the Three Stooges--only less funny and far less competent. Let's break down their masterclass in failure: 1. **Week 1**: They discovered "additional damage" (sure, fine, we're reasonable people) and extended the repair deadline to November 8th. Okay, no biggie. We're patient adults. 2. **Week 2-Today**: Cue the excuses. Bryant and his crack team of excuse-makers bombarded us with a *comedy* of pathetic delays: - "We're painting today... oh wait, never mind!" - "Someone called out!" - "Oops, we ran out of paint!" Had to bring my car back after repairs to redo a paint job. The person who originally did the work had to know what a crappy job they did and likely didn't think I would notice. They were supposed to call me when my parts came in back in October, I waited . No one called. When I called my insurance company to tell them about the crappy paint repair. Bryant then called me back to schedule an appointment to bring my car back in. I asked him why he never called to tell me the part and my license plate frame came in and he said he did. I said no you didn't. He said he did. I said, did you leave a message? I have every messages and missed call on my phone from 2023 and I was waiting, you did not call. I was glad he was not in when I brought my car back and I was able to speak to Matt. It's really awkward working with someone who blatantly lies. I showed Matt my paint issue, he acknowledged my concern and my car was repainted and looked better. Whom ever did the work the first did an awful job. I have posted the before and after photos. This wasn't the first time using caliber collision but it was the first time using the one in rancho. If there is a next time I will go to an alternate location. If I could give zero stars I would!! Rude and disrespectful staff with no compassion for clients dealing with insurance companies! They are quick to accept your business but lacking in follow through and communication. My vehicle was damaged, and was informed that this location worked with State Farm so the process should be streamlined and quick, as it was. They repaired my vehicle a few days sooner than expected, I appreciated that but didn't expected their representative to harass me multiple times to pick up my vehicle or I'd be charged for extra days after completion because they had pulled my car out front and didn't wan to put it back on the lot (over the weekend which they are closed). I had scheduled to pick it up on the date I was quoted on drop off, didn't have the availability to get it sooner due to my work schedule, had to leave work to get my car do to there lack of communication and professionalism. The drop off and pick up process was ridiculous, the staff inside the building are completely unprofessional, everyone in the main office walking around talking loudly about clients. Wouldn't recommend this location, have had better experiences with Caliber! Jimmy and the management need to be trained in communication and preparing for drop off! read more

I was beyond impressed with Caliber Collision at this location! I had my first ever insurance claim unfortunately due to a hit-and-run that smashed the whole backside of my car and one of my side panels, including a ton of important sensors and parts. I went through my insurance who sent me to Caliber, and I was very impressed with the whole process. Caliber kept me 100% informed of every change in every estimate, every time the pickup date changed, and answered every question I had in a reasonable amount of time. Becky provided amazing customer service, and I was very pleased with the end result of my car. They not only did a fantastic job of making the damage look like it never happened, but they actually detailed the outside and inside of my car and made it look BETTER than I left it. Where do I begin? Well, this all started when a careless driver swung his door too wide and dinged my right rear passenger door. Luckily, I was sitting in my car when it happened and got his insurance to pay for the repairs. Caliber Collision in Elk Grove did a fantastic job years ago when my car's rear bumper got damaged. Naturally, my choice for this repair goes to Caliber Collision based on my previous experience. Sadly, this time around it is different. Even well-known companies do not guarantee you quality service anymore. Here's my experience with Caliber Collision 11230 Trade Center Dr, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. Pros: * Friendly staff. Nicole, the manager, is easy to work with and she gives timely advice. * The location is close to the area I live in. * Gives you courtesy rides pickups and drop offs from your residence. Cons: * Poor workmanship. My mistake, I asked if they could complete the car repairs a day or two sooner. As a result, they did an extremely poor paint job. The paint is rough, sticky, paint drips, pits, and feels like dirt got mixed in the paint surface. Very frustrating. Nicole used the excuse that I rushed them, so they were not able to do an excellent job. Nicole is a nice person, but I argue that companies should have a quality inspection process before turning the car over to the client. I told her that I am not too happy with this result. She offered to bring my car back so they can polish it a week later. * After taking the car back that day, I also noticed my brand new (only less than 600 miles) car's interior is messed up. Whoever did the so-called free detailing service used a rag and cleaner that left residue on the interior glass and console vents, chrome, and plastic finishing (see attached photos) It looks horrible -- I was so livid! At this point, I don't believe this Caliber Collision shop is staffed by professionals who knows their job. * I took the car back to Caliber Collision a week later and they completed the polishing. It looks good this time but as soon as I inspected the car inside my home garage, where there's not as much glare from the outside sunlight, the area they polished shows quite a bit of swirl (see photo.) I told Nicole I will bring it back again after I take care of some personal business. What I want to happen next. Caliber Collision fixes the problem to my satisfaction. Going back many times to fix quality problem issues is unacceptable. I also want Caliber Collision to pay for professional detailing to clean up the mess their detailer has caused. Will I recommend this Caliber Collision branch? That depends on how they fix and address the problems I mentioned. I will update this review once I get my issues resolved. read more

I had the best experience at caliber collision on Fulton Avenue. I worked with Joe Sanchez and another guy that worked there named Joe... They were amazing! The back of my car was hit. They totally fixed it kept me in the loop told me when it was gonna be ready how long it was gonna take and they were right on... I highly recommend this place and these two guys they were amazing. About three years ago, they replaced my front bumper and I noticed it had a tint of green to it so thankfully they took it with no hassle and told me they would repaint it. The estimated time was two days. There was a miscommunication about my pick up time (no big deal) so they put me in a rental and then told me it was going to take another day. No worries, right? Well, their customer service is nice and accommodating but my bumper has a bunch of weird chips on it now. My guess is air bubbles? My paint matches though... I was told it faded and that they had switch up their paint. Good thing they have a life time warranty because their body shop sucks. Oh and my emergency fund was stolen from my center console($30). I guess I'm the dumb one for forgetting to remove it and trusting a company. read more

Trying to coordinate work with upcoming vacation, he told me that if they were finished and I couldn't pick up that day they would charge me holding fees and copped an attitude. The team at Caliber not only fixed the damage I could see but also repaired my muffler and tailpipe that had been damaged as well. I used Caliber to repair a minor fender bender for my 2013 Honda Civic in Dec. 2017. I like keeping my car clean and nice. I don't like hassles. Since this was covered by USAA Insurance, Caliber worked directly with them and I avoided hassle! Repair work done on time and correctly. They guarantee their work. In August 2018 the panel under the engine area in front of both the passenger and driver sides started coming off and eventually we had to tear it off as we were on a short local trip. I called Caliber and explained the situation. Their manager, Nicole advised me on what day and time best for her technicians to assess it and I popped by. In ten minutes she had what she needed and we commenced to schedule the repair. Much to my surprise, she offered to come pick up the car from my home in Rancho Cordova the following week to complete the repairs. As a courtesy, she phoned me a few minutes before they came to pick it up to ensure it was still a good time. I like that. No hassles. Jose arrived and picked up the Honda car for repair. Only a few hours later, she called back notifying me that the repairs were done and asked if Jose could come now to deliver it. Again, no hassle, just great customer service. I have had the pleasure of going to Caliber Collision on three separate occasions. (Don't ask!) Thank goodness it has all be fairly minor bumps and abrasions. On one occasion, II worked with Jim and he was great. I went there today and worked with Tyler Espinosa. Someone had backed into my ear bumper and there was a significant dent on the right side. He walked around my car, scratched his head and said...."humm". He then crawled under my car popped out the dent and then polished off the scuff marks! Each time that I have gone there, I have found the staff to be extremely upbeat, professional, caring and easy to work with. My insurance company asked if I needed a referral for repair and I told them, ABSOLUTELY NOT! I knew where I was going and I would recommend them to anyone without ANY hesitation. Caliber Collision took over the location(s) and operations of the previous auto body repair chain, and at first appeared to be the same business with just a name change until they informed me of the change. The reception counter and waiting area, though small, was comfortable, with the large windows giving it a more open, larger feel. It and the office area behind are clean, airy and bright inside. My Service Rep was called right up by the friendly and helpful "front desk" woman (for lack of knowing the position title). There were two employees covering the reception counter for whatever customer service tasks they were each, or both, responsible for. Both were pleasant, amiable and helpful in assisting me with figuring out if I was covered for a rental car, and when not otherwise engaged, one or the other would chat with me while we waited for a return call from my insurance company. My Service Representative was also friendly and helpful, making me feel he was and would explain about my car and patiently and to my satisfaction that I understood. I'm a details person and always appreciate that. As we had spoken on the phone, he had been able to contact my insurance company to get approval to evaluate the problem(s). There was another problem that had been bothering me that I asked him to look into, because it appeared to be part of the front end where the accident had caused damage. The challenge was to get it to do it while the representative, and then the mechanic, were in the car. Because of his patience and desire to figure out the problem for me, we spent enough time to where he was able to detect that 'something' was happening. Later, when the mechanic took the car out, he spent the time to find the problem and sure enough, he found there was a problem, a bigger one than I expected (faulty front-end part, not faulty work from other company's mechanics). That problem was also fixed without issue. They even fixed small oversights by the previous shop operation, which I appreciated. I wish I could immediately recall the names of these helpful people. If I find them, I'll edit this so they get the praise they deserve. In conclusion, my positive experience and rating of Caliber Collision was a result of the details provided above and that the shop, with no trouble on my part, fully honored the warranty agreement with my insurance company, the benefit of my selecting it as a USAA-preferred shop in lieu of some other "out of network" shop. Rancho Cordova caliber is really friendly. Their customer service is great. Their work however is spotty at best. First time when I went to pick up the car, it was not assembled correctly. The dust was embedded in the paint. Glass was still inside the car. Second time the paint was scratched and interior was not cleaned. The tint was scratched the rear glass was cracked. I don't remember how many times I could not pick up the car because of issues, but here are some of them. The electrical was not working as they forgot to connect the 12v cig. Paint scratched. Interior scratch and damaged. Missing a cover. Later I found the speaker was not connected and decided to bring to dealer to reconnect. They accommodated me with all the issues but the car was with them for almost 4 months. read more
