Service advisor Michael "Micky" Cerbelli enthusiastically greeted me as he handed me and his manager's , Jodi Smith, business cards while I was seated in the waiting room. Then he escorted me to the repair garage, where he showed me actual and potential part replacements. Staff coordinated service with a rent-a-car company, whose representative was waiting for me at the service desk when I arrived. I received text messages while my car was being repaired. Micky professionally provided most of the phone updates. The repair was finished in just over a week, despite order delays due many auto dealerships shutting down because of the Coronavirus. The staff expeditiously handled my car repair with just a few papers to sign. The premises was clean. I could see now why my auto insurer recommended Caliber Collision. read more

I am a Suffolk County resident and recent customer of Caliber Collision in Patchogue. I have several serious complaints about this place. Perhaps the most egregious affront was when I spoke to someone inside the establishment on the afternoon of Friday, 18 August, when I was making payment and getting my car. This elderly woman said she was a manager and her name was "Jodi". She was beyond defensive; she refused to hear my concerns. "I already said I'm sorry, and I'm not going to go back and forth with you," were this person's precise words, in the first minute of my arrival. And I understood that the "back and forth" surely referenced the present conversation (where one person speaks, then the other, then the first again - a "back and forth"). When a company clerk or manager issues a reflexive, perfunctory "apology" and then that same person refuses to hear the customer speak about his or her concerns, the "apology" cannot be considered meaningful, just as it is whenever anyone says, for example: I always respect what people have to say. Now shut up! Who issues a genuine apology which is then immediately followed by sneering, self-righteous, prideful umbrage? ...an umbrage which is entirely unreceptive of spoken communication by the customer? And this was in the context of already having suffered abuse on the phone two hours earlier! I left the place that Friday afternoon without yelling at anyone, without curses, and without threats. The insouciance there demonstrated - in knowing they would get a scathing review from me - was something a customer does not expect. Why would a manager behave that way? Well, the answer is that sometimes a person is expressing personal resentment, personal embarrassment, or personal guilt, and the person is simply not in possession of the maturity to endure and (strongly, responsibly) represent the best long-term interests of the company. What can I do now? I don't know. But I am writing a postal letter to Liberty Mutual Insurance company and asking them whether this sort of treatment is acceptable to them. (This was a place which was within their expansive network of repair facilities, and I was there because it was 'a Liberty Mutual place.') Writers have commented in 2023 that civility has suffered tremendously in American society in the last seven years. Yes, this is true. But surely you can find a better place than this!! read more

Great service! My car looks great and they did a wonderful job of getting the parts necessary despite the shortage.

I would recommend this place 100%. I have used them twice and both times I was 100% satisfied with their work and customer service. The women working at the desks are always pleasant and informative. My car was fixed in a week and they made the transition and setup of a rental car for me seamless. I got updates during the week on the progress of my repairs and now my car looks fabulous. Mickey, aka Michael Cerbelli, did beautiful work on my car and is honest where he actually returned a part that he ordered because it arrived scratched and I probably wouldn't have noticed, but doing the right thing, he returned and reordered the part again so my car would be perfect. 10/10 would recommend. read more

From beginning to end Caliber was great. I couldn't have asked for a better service. After getting hit in a fender bender, Caliber was recommended by the insurance company for fixing. We are glad we went with our gut and went with the recommendation. The front desk and customer service was a 10 out of 10. They took care of everything including the rental (Enterprise) We had Paul looking over our truck throughout and stayed in touch with us through the process. The phone calls and voicemails were always returned with a quick response to any questions we had. Although there is an issue/delay on getting parts (not calibers fault, just the world) we still had our car back all fixed and ready to go in a very timely manner. read more

Okay so I am very, very skeptical about car repair shops. I've had a few bad experiences and I really hesitate to bring my car anywhere. I heard about them through family and I am absolutely blown away. Do not bring your car ANYWHERE else but here because I know I won't. The people are so, so, so friendly from the office to the mechanics. They brought me to the rental car place down the road and brought it back for me. My car looked like it was BRAND new...They went above and beyond what needed to be fixed. I felt like I was purchasing a new car and driving it off of the dealer lot. These are the BEST people you will ever find to fix your car. Please, please I URGE you to not go anywhere else...Even if this place is a little far from you it is so worth the trip. read more

Nicky gave me regular progress updates as to the status of my vehicle. He always took the time to explain every detail of the process. I was shocked when a deer ran into my car on Sunrise highway, over $6,000 in damages. Between my insurance company (MetLife) and Caliber, all was well and done in a little over a week. I brought the car into my dealer for regular maintenance, told them the story, and they said they never would have known it. That's what I thought. It was as though that accident was just a dream. Threatening to vandalize their vehicles if they parked on the street...which is a public street With that being said i did not leave my car there! I just wanted to leave a little review since I had wonderful experience and not enough now a days is someone called out for positivity. From the time my truck was towed to caliber to the day I picked it up it was nothing but an excellent customer service. The ladies at the front desk were warm and welcoming and answered all my questions better and more then my insurance company did, I dont recall the woman's name who helped me but we talked about our kids as I had my infant with me and she told me about her twins , she was so kind and almost felt like an old friend . I had Mickey as a my point of contact and he was absolutely wonderful. He called and kept me updated weekly and explained exactly what was going on with my truck the entire time. He was a breath of fresh air always upbeat and happy when I spoke to him . He went above and beyond to explain what a betterment cost was even when the insurance company did not and that was their job. When I met with him to asses the damage to my car I told him I named all my cars and he happily referred to my truck as jerry the Journey with me like an old friend. My car was ready exactly when they initially said it would be and when I picked him up it looked great , you could never tell he was in an accident and was just freshly washed and shiny like brand new.I honestly had such a great experience I would recommend anyone take their vehicle here .
