Left work a little early to be able to come here for an estimate. Arrived shortly after 5pm (they close at 530) but was refused an estimate because it was 20min until closing. Ridiculous. I can understand maybe a few minutes before closing but 20 is plenty of time to atleast look at the car and maybe take it back, to work on later. A little sincerity goes a long way. I am very unhappy with the communication throughout the process. Dropped my vehicle December 22nd and was told 2 week maximum for repairs. On December 26, I was told the repairs would take one to one and a half weeks. It has now been three weeks, which is far beyond the original estimate. Since then, I've been given multiple, conflicting timelines. Last Wednesday, I was told I would have my vehicle by the end of the week. Now I'm being told it may be ready by Wednesday of the following week. I was also informed that there was a lack of awareness around what was happening with my repair. There has been poor and inconsistent communication. Transparency and accurate timelines matter, especially when customers are without their vehicles. Marisa was so sweet when scheduling me, and knowledgeable when answering my questions. My first service advisor was Manny and he is a rockstar! The 2 stars are for the good communication. Otherwise their paint job was crap with a hood full of swirls. I called and they said this was normal and buy a compound wax to buff it out. I did and it did nothing. I will call my insurance company to complain. Updated 1/14/23. They re-did my hood and provided a satisfied result. I'm pleased with the work they did and as such I changed my rating from a 2 to a 4 star. read more

This Caliber Collision has truly changed my perspective of how a body shop should be and they are one of the few certified in aluminum body vehicles. James Houston was my service advisor and was attentive from the very beginning. He provided a clear and concise process of how my vehicle was going to be repaired. I received my vehicle is in immaculate condition. The lines of the body panels are great and there are no uneven gaps. The function of the hood, and doors are also straight with the proper gap to allow movement without rubbing. James was also helpful when I had some fault codes appear a few weeks after receiving the vehicle. He let me bring the vehicle in same day and made every effort to make the repairs quickly. Came here recently with my mom to get some scratches on my car fixed. Before we came to this Caliber, my mom hired a cheaper option (random man she found online that claimed he had 20+ years of experience working on cars) to re-paint it, and we learned a hard lesson that you simply cannot cheap out on auto work if you want it to look the same as before. After a grueling few weeks of thinking the paint applied by the cheaper hire had destroyed my car, we took my car to this Caliber. We were assigned Douglas Hutchins and little did we know that we got the best team member at any Caliber we've ever been to. After examining the damage on my car, Douglas went to his personal vehicle and got paint remover to remove the horrendous paint that was previously applied (the paint didn't even match my original car color). At this point, I knew he was trustworthy, because of how delicately he handled my car. Afterwards, it felt like he was 100% on our side and just wanted to help us in any way he could, rather than other places where it feels like they want to squeeze the most amount of money out of you. He provided a very reasonable out-of-pocket price to fix our vehicle and was so, so kind throughout our whole visit with him. He thoroughly explained what he would do to repair my car and he certainly kept his promise. My beautiful car is back with me and I am beyond happy and relieved to have found Douglas. He texted me updates every single day after I dropped my car off, it made us feel safe and secure in leaving my car with him. Many people see their cars as simply a vehicle to get them from one place to the next, but I value my car beyond that scope. My car has been there for me during dark times in my life, and he brings so much joy to me. I was so very impressed by the level of professionalism and detailed work completed by this location at Caliber Collision. From the moment of arrival to my departure, I felt and was considered part of the remediation team to ensure the car was detailed and put into the most pristine condition. For the painting job on my truck's flares, the Painter, Jorge did an exceptional job. I have received so many unsolicited compliments on the burnt orange flare against the silver of the truck. I was blown away at the technical proficiency of the body work. The service advisor, Yanet, went above and beyond as well when she made calls on my behalf to the rental car company fought for me to complete the rental car drop off, rather than spend an extra 1.5 hours to drop the car off at the original location. She verified immediately upon my ask. The value this location places on clients is unmatched. This place is the worse body shop I have ever used they lie to you and will not keep you updated I will never use them again

On 11/4/2020 I went to the Caliber Collision website and went through the process to create an estimate for repairs for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I communicated with Shaima Ahmed and made an appointment to go to the shop in Frisco, Texas (9474 John W. Elliot Dr.) on 11/11/2020 to have my vehicle looked at and to make sure the estimated cost of repairs matched the work to be done. I met with August Sicat to look at my Jeep and he said "I will be right back." He took my Jeep to his workshop and returned about 12 minutes later (estimated time but not more than 20 minutes) with my Jeep and said it is done, here you go. The estimate was for about $465.00 but the work that needed to be done was not as serious as thought and turned out to be a very easy fix (3-$7.65 rivets) so no insurance necessary. The D/S rocker molding was hanging down toward the rear D/S door (in front of the tire) because rivets had broken and fallen out. I would recommend Caliber Collision (9474 John W. Elliot Dr.) to anyone. If I ever require repair of body parts on my Jeep, I will be sure to take my Jeep to this location. There are other shops closer to my home but I will visit Caliber Collision in Frisco. Thanks, August, you did a great job and provided fast service, and took care of my ride. My car has been in the shop for the past 4 weeks and every single representative that I speak too consistently lies to me about a completion date on my vehicle. As a business owner I can honestly say this is some of the worst service I have ever received. I hope that whatever criteria Caliber Collision searches for in employees, is raised to another level, because obviously the people who are working at the John W Elliot Shop have no clue how to do business. I am furious with this body shop and am at the point where I am going to get a tow truck to pick up my vehicle and take it to another body shop. (Something I never thought I would have to do.) The passenger front door on my 2003 Sequoia quit opening when I accidentally shut the seatbelt in the door. After trying for a couple days to resolve the issue ourselves, we decided to go to the body shop, anticipating that we would be buying a new door. We had used this location when it was Herb's, and we hoped we would get good service again. When I arrived, I explained the problem to Marco. In 30 seconds he performed a miracle! He showed me that by pulling the door handle up slightly, instead of straight out, it would open every time! This place is a total joke of a repair shop! Let me first call out one of their service reps; Steve. He is a liar, and does not follow up with customers. My Honda came back from repairs with torn material. Caliber blanked it on Honda and said they had to order a new indoor trim piece. Unfortunately this part was either never ordered or received. After several attempts and visits to Caliber this was never replaced. After another visit to the shop Steve said a third party would come to my house to fix. He again sent me away from shop promising to call to arrange service. Again, no return call. I could see the guys in the shop laughing as they sent me away. I could tell they just wanted rid of me. At this point I'm righting this extremely negative review to warn others of using this as a service option. Stay away! read more
