We have a work vehicle that we left overnight in Stockton. Well, instead of simply trying to break through the window, the genius BLOW TORCHED THE HANDLE OFF to try and break in. I wish I was making that up. So we brought the vehicle back to Fresno. Caliber was my first call because I'm aware that the company exists (I suppose I could google "body shops Fresno" but I skipped a step - yay me!) Caliber got the door and window replaced (yeah, the crook broke the window trying to pick the lock after they torched the handle. Like I said - genius), and even coordinated with our sign guy to get the store-related decals replaced. Our service rep was Jon, and he was great. Communicated thoroughly, quick to respond to any call or email - he saw it through to the end. So extra thanks to Jon. Oh, and also extra thanks to the gals up front who pop the popcorn. Snacks are always a bonus. And popcorn is the king of snacks. I hope I never have to use Caliber again - but if I need to, I certainly will! read more

His name is Ronnie. He was professional yet personable. He really cared about my car and my situation. He answered all my questions patiently. I would not recommend Caliber Collision to anybody. My car was towed in after a rear end collision. The towing company did additional damage to the front end of vehicle. Insurance adjuster estimated $10,000 in damage, but it clearly was more. When speaking with Merritt he agreed, but insisted that they wanted to repair it. I argued that I would not feel safe because I was afraid damage was done to the frame as well. I specifically asked him not to order any parts until the total estimate was done, but he did not listen, assuring insurance company it could be repaired. Long story short, I hired an attorney. Insurance company sent a check for $10,000 in good faith, while Caliber slowly tacked on approximately another $8,000. Repairs were of poor quality. Paint overspray on my tires, etc. When I was called to pick up the vehicle, the entire front end hadn't been repaired and the rear tire was split and unsafe to drive on. I asked why it wasn't repaired and Merritt shrugged. He started out being friendly, but at this point he started making unkind comments and asked to walk away by other employee.I refused to pick it up while attorney was trying to negotiate with insurance company to total the vehicle. After a few months, Caliber threatened to put a lien on it, even though insurance company, secretly agreed to additional amount of repair and they were paid. Although my vehicle did not have a salvaged title, I could not sell/trade my vehicle in for more than $14,000. It was 4 months old when the accident happened. I felt that this was about Caliber making money and zero interest in my safety or quality of work done. The only positive with this whole ordeal was with Mark Knox, the regional supervisor. He was understanding, kind, and tactful. However, he could do nothing to change the outcome. read more

I took my car to get repaired by Caliber collision when another car had backed into the back passenger side of my car. After caliber collision repaired my car I had to take it back to them because my bumper came off. A week later I had to take it back to them again because the bumper came off AGAIN. Another problem I had was the rep I was dealing with wouldn't return my calls when I was trying to get my car taken care of. After I got my car back from Caliber collision I noticed my blind spot senor wasn't working. I then had to take my car to North Fresno Collision to redo the repairs caliber collision had done because the work they did was poor. They had GLUED, yes GLUED brackets to my taillight to hold the bumper on. There was a lot of other bad repairs they did to my bumper that North Fresno collision had to fix and had to order parts for my car to fix the bad job Caliber collision had done. read more

My nephew brought his car here over a month ago for repair following an accident. The car was still drivable, but needed some front end body work. Caliber Collision took his car, assured him it would only take a week, maybe two weeks if parts were delayed. They did not have the car fixed by the expected date. They said that they were just waiting for a part and assured us that they would cover the cost of the rental car if the part didn't come in before the rental coverage on our insurance ran out. Called them this past Monday, 7/18, to let them know that the insurance coverage for the rental was going to end on 7/20.... Spoke with Joey, who then said they could NOT cover the rental cost! He said the car was 99% done and they were just waiting on the grill. Apparently the wrong grill was sent and the correct grill is on back order. He did offer to put the wrong grill on until the correct one comes in... said he personally called and verified that the incorrect one was still at the dealership where they had returned it to. He said they would pick it up first thing Tuesday morning, car would be ready Tuesday afternoon.... Ok great! So rental car was returned, deductible for repairs was paid on Tuesday morning! They said they would call me when the car was ready.... They NEVER called! Called them Tuesday afternoon... they said it will "probably" be tomorrow (Wednesday), they would call when it was ready. Again, they NEVER called! I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Adrie (not sure how to spell her name), their office manager today.... After a lot of back and forth, she now says that the dealership had to order the grill, and it will "probably" be here tomorrow and IF if gets here in time they MIGHT have it done tomorrow or MAYBE Saturday! I am driving from out of town every day to take my nephew to work and pick him up after.... This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS! Now they are going to put his old grill back on the car and said he can just bring the car back when the new grill comes in. Now.... Why didn't they just say that weeks ago? Again....BEYOND RIDICULOUS!! I let her know that he needs the car BEFORE 3:00 today, so he can go to work.... She assured me she would "make it a priority" and "call me when it's ready to be picked up".... Wonder where I heard that before...?!?! I would never recommend this place to my friends or family.... I'm just hoping their work is better than their dishonest customer service! And yes, we will definitely be filing a complaint with their corporate office!! read more

The amazing team at this location went FAR above and beyond the call of duty in helping repair my vehicle. When I dropped my vehicle off, I casually mentioned that my wife was 39 weeks pregnant. I didn't do this to put any pressure on the staff, but just while making small talk. However, Joey and his team immediately rushed us to the front of the queue so our car would be ready before our baby came. Even though they initially had told me the repair could take 7-8 calendar days (5 business days plus the Labor Day holiday), they rushed the job and had the car finished in less than 4 calendar days! The team at Caliber Collision is awesome! David was the technician/estimator that helped me. I was nervous at first when I came into the facility earlier this month to get an estimate. State Farm, the responsible party's insurance gave very little direction as to what was going to happen or what to expect. Upon arriving, I was surprised to see a small line of people and 2 people at the desk assisting other customers. I could hear their phone lines ringing, it was quite busy at 9 am. The team was quick, friendly and professional. My first thought was, I'm going to be here a while. After checking in, David took my keys for less than 5 minutes and was able to give me an estimate, explain the process and assured me that I can drop my car off at my convenience. When I dropped my car off earlier this week to have it repaired, the process was quite smooth as well. Not to my surprise, they had a long line and again 2 very friendly representatives assisting other customers and the phone lines were ringing. I wish I had remembered the names of the 2 people at the front desk, but they were great! I dropped off my keys and was encouraged to pick up my rental next door while they prepare my paperwork. Within a few minutes, they were ready for my car and I had my paperwork from Caliber. I would have been on my way but Hertz had a huge line and that's what kept me there for over 1.5 hours. When I picked up my car, David and his team made my transition very easy. David personally washed and vacuumed my car. After getting into my car, I noticed my dashboard had been dusted very nicely. Embarrassingly, I did not clean out my car before dropping it off for repairs, but they sure made me feel appreciated! To top it off, David even shined my dingy old headlights. My front bumper (the point of impact) looked like it was a brand new car and my headlights are brighter without all the fuzz on them. Really happy with the service provided. I have used Caliber twice because of damage to the front end of my car. The first time was because I was referred there by my insurance (safeco) but the second time I requested my estimate and repairs be done there because I was very happy with their work. My first encounter with Caliber and so called service advisor Paul Brooks was rude, disrespectful and had no customer service skills what so ever. I didn't agree with the estimate he did so had my insurance send an adjuster out and they agreed that more repairs were needed. Dropped my car off with the estimate provided by the Hartford and Paul chose to ignore that and didn't fix anything. When confronted he agreed to do the repairs but wanted me to come back another day. Already wasted two days on a two hour job. I will never recommend them to anyone and will also tell them not to deal with Paul Brooks. If he were a representative with my company he would be on the street. The receptionist even agreed that the proper repairs were not done and it was visibly noticeable. Michelle, the very nice lady at the desk should spend sometime with him and train him on customer service skills. My car insurance sent me to Caliber Collision to get my car repaired after being an accident. I dropped off my car August 1st and was given an estimate for August 23 three weeks out. August 23 came around, I took the day off work called around 1pm to get a time estimate to pick up my car only for them to tell me it actually wasn't ready. No one bothered to let me know it wasn't ready or any updates until I called the day of my pick up date. They said they were just waiting on a tech so it would only be three more days moved it to August 26 three days later, again took the day off work to be able to pick it up, only for them to again not notify me until the day of the pick up it wasn't ready. And this time it was moved out until September 7 one week and a half but they were supposedly only waiting on a tech wait turned into a three day fix was pushed out for a week and a half. It was moved out for a week and a half because of a part they didn't realize the car needed until now, the day im supposed to pick up the car. How they forgot to order a part or not realize the car needed im not sure pretty absurd they overlooked a whole car part. I've taken 2 days off work because they give me pick up dates and don't bother to let me know it's not ready until the day of. I've been adjusting my work and school schedule to when my car will be ready but I'm not getting notified of anything until the day of all they told me was to not ask for days off because pick up days are not guaranteed. Well I thought it was a good experience until I picked up my car. I heard a rattle every time I hit any kind of bump. I took it back twice only to be told it was just the struts and that it was normal. Well it wasn't making the rattle before the collision so I knew they were wrong. I took my car to another repair facility and they changed the struts. But still the same rattle. Then I took it to a place that straightened frames and they discovered it was a very bent idler arm. After they changed it out the rattle stopped. Unfortunate for me was my insurance claim was closed out and the added cost was not covered all because Caliber failed to discover a blaring problem. This cost me over $1,000 that I shouldn't have had to pay because insurance would have covered the cost had they found the problem that was clearly caused by the accident.
