Absolutely incredible service by Ian at this Caliber location. He truly cares about you and your car, rather than marking up prices and taking your money during a high-stress situation. I was quoted by another Caliber right down the street for $500, and I was able to get it done for $60 with Ian. He showed me how to purchase the parts myself and he installed them for me. If your insurance company recommends this shop as a trusted and reliable repair service, I strongly advise you to consider their negative reviews and look into a better repair option. Caliber Collision has had my car since July 2nd, and today is July 25th. Throughout this period, I've received constant updates about my vehicle waiting for a specific part that took far too long to arrive. Then, I had to endure further delays related to the painting process, where I was given inconsistent information about when it would be completed. When I picked up my car on July 25th, I was shocked by the lack of care demonstrated. The interior was extremely dusty, and there were dents and marks on my leather seats. It was clear that they had left the windows open during the body work and had carelessly laid their tools on my seats. The exterior of my car was filthy, and the green marker used for identification was still visible. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable. Returning a vehicle in such poor condition reflects a business that is subpar and unwilling to meet basic standards of care. I will not be recommending Caliber Collision to anyone. read more

05/28/2024 I received constant updates on the status of my vehicle. My projected completion date was the 31st. Much to my surprise, my vehicle was finished way before that. The pick up process was painless. I was able to return the rental at caliber and just drive off with my baby. I must say she looks way better. Oh and the work is backed by a lifetime guarantee! I wouldn't recommend this company to NO ONE. They take forever to do the job, and they are very messy. I'm just going tell y'all exactly what happen to me. I took my car in to have the bumper repaired. When I finally got the car back the bumper was painted a totally different color from the rest of the car. * They destroyed my driver's side Weather tech floor mat - the mat was totally white (filled with dust and concrete) * My personal items from the center console were put in a bag - the items were in my back seat when I picked the car up, the center console had concrete droppings that won't come out * My trunk was filled with cement rocks - it looked as if they used my car to haul concrete around * The circles they put on your car when you take it in - half the circles were still in the paint when I picked the car up * They drove more than half my gas out of my car * My headrest covers were also missing * My car was dirty and filled with bird droppings This company is all the way fucked up even management. I wish I could give zero stars but that's not an option, if like myself your insurance makes you go here pick another location. 1. They took close to a month a fix my broken back window and kept pushing the date back due to parts not coming in and then it was waiting for the paint to be done. Ok however I get a call on a Friday afternoon after talking to Kevin Grant who was taking care of my car, on Wednesday saying they were waiting for the paint to be finished. So when I get the threatening call on Friday that if I didn't pick my car up that day that they couldn't extend the rental, we can't do you anymore favors by extending it ...I never received another call after Wednesday after closing so come pick up my vehicle so to make it as if they are doing me some sort of "favor" by extending the rental was very uncalled for. However I get there Friday and to pick up my vehicle 2. The interior of my vehicle is very dusty like it was sitting with the windows rolled down the entire month is was there, trash was left inside of my vehicle that was not mine and could not have been mine because some of the trash was the wrapper the window came in. 3. The exterior of my vehicle was dirty as well claiming they washed it but it had been sitting outside for days waiting for me to come pick it up but again how?! I just got the call that day to pick it up 4. The window that they were supposed to replace is now making a clicking sound when you roll it up and down, my keyless entry on that door doesn't work, there is a fingerprint in the paint they were waiting to dry and the seal around the window that was supposed to be replaced was not and still has slices and cuts in it. And my seatbelt has glass in it so you can't use it 5. Kevin notes all of these and says that he will order the part this was 10/7/22... I have called several times over the last 6 now 7 months and still no call back about fixing my car properly and if the part has ever come in. 6. After leaving with my car not 10mins later I get a call from Kevin that my car is ready for pick up we'll who's car did you just give me then? And your claims of calling me before and I didn't answer and had not left a voicemail are called to question again at this point. I just want my car fixed like it's supposed to be this has been a terrible experience and I hope to never have to go back here ever again read more

This shop has horrible customer service. I had to wait a week beyond the estimated completion date. When I called to inquiry about the delay they were annoyed with me. The manager is never available. I called on 10/25/21 to schedule an estimate for my car. A man answered and place me on hold for 10 minutes before transferring me. A woman answered and I was placed on hold for an additional 10 minutes. I hung up and called back. The same woman answered the phone. I asked why I was on hold for 20 minutes, she got an attitude and said she was the only person at the desk front, but she could help me now. She told me the first available appointment for an estimate was 11/8/21. Who is going to wait that long for an estimate on their car? This business just lost a potential customer. read more

I had scheduled an appointment to get my car taken care of for 3/16 over a month in advance, however they lost my appointment. They still agreed to take my car, which was great. However, a woman who was not currently helping me (Carla Reyes) saw my car and proceeded to get into a heated conversation with me. It went as follows: Carla: "You really shouldn't have been driving your car around like that. When did you get into this accident?" Me: "At this point, it really doesn't matter. I've been driving it, and now I'm here to get it fixed." Carla (beginning to get flustered): "But what I'm saying is you shouldn't have been driving it." Me: "And at this point, I'm here now and that can't be changed and I'd rather not be lectured at 8 in the morning." That is when Carla lost it, accusing me of taking my frustration out on her, so I calmly explained to her that I wasn't, I just didn't wish to be lectured. I never once raised my voice to this woman yet she felt it appropriate to raise hers. Carla was increasingly rude to me when all I wanted was to drop my car off. I really had no issue with the fact that they lost my reservation because they still agreed to take my car. It was her complete and lack of business sense or common decency that made me furious. If I, or my insurance is paying thousands of dollars for you to fix my car, the least you could do is treat your customers with respect. read more

Got my car serviced here Sept 25, 2018, I only had a dent on both the left front door and rear door on my ford focus. When I received my first estimate from them everything was supposed to go well and they told me that the car would be fixed in 17 days. 17 days passed and I did not hear anything from no one from Caliber until I called and discovered they did another assessment for my damaged vehicle. Not only did they not contact me about a second assessment needing to be done for my car, but they also towed it without my Insurances consent so I had to constantly contact their store manager and employees to find my car. And if things did not get any worse, the car was considered a total of loss only because the second assessment was only $90 added to the expenses from the second assessment -____-. Ultimately, the Store Manager, Ms Tanya, was extremely helpful in finding my car, so I gladly retained my car and went to much better Collusion Center not far from the BWI Parkway towards 198 East/ Towards Fort. Meade MD. I know many Caliber Collisions are great, but this location right on Central I may add did not help me at all. If anything, they did the opposite. Fair Warning, if you get your car service at the Hampton Blvd location be cautious or go to a better location for eg: the Edgewater location. read more

I had a good experience here. My sister had prior work done here so once I got the estimate from geico, I brought my car into this location. My NEW car had bumper damage so you can imagine I was freaked out on trying to choose an auto body shop that could return it to its state before the accident. I put in at 730 am on Monday and was able to pick it up the next day by 2:30pm. It was returned cleaned so my experience here was good. read more

USAA - STAY AWAY! This is the most IN·COM·PE·TENT shop that I have ever been too! There were numerous problems with the repair of my Toyota Tundra that I pointed out to the manager Drew. I went back to get the issues corrected 3 times. Each time I went back I discovered that they had not completely repaired my vehicle. Drew profusely apologized each time and made promises to correct the issues. I even sent him pictures of a buddy's truck to show what was needed. At one point, Drew asked me to help look for parts! I inquired with the Toyota dealer and they had no problems finding the parts. This shop's management, QA and professionalism is UN·AC·CEPT·A·BLE! Once they notified me that my truck was ready for pickup. When I arrived, my truck had not even been touched. Their excuse was that the receptionist was new. IN·AD·E·QUATE! NOT MY Problem! The service representative, made the comment that he didn't have time to deal with this and that it was not that serious. PATHETIC!!! On my last walk around with Drew, and pointing out unrepaired items, I finally went to a different shop. If you want your vehicle repaired right without issues, choose another shop. Dropped off my car to have the rear panel of my Accord coupe repaired as it was smashed, dented, and crumpled. Also opted to have my front bumper repainted as it was mildly scratched during the earlier Winter month. Was given a ten day down time for the repairs to be completed within. About 13 days later, (3 days over the estimated time ) I am told That my car is ready. As I'm inspecting the car, as obvious as ever I realize that the repainted bumper does NOT match the rest of my red car. In fact, it's so dark that it is almost purple. I immediately let the caliber rep know that the paint is COMPLETLY OFF. He agrees and instructs me to leave my car to have it fixed. 4 days later, now 17 in total, I am told to come back and get my car. The car seemingly looks ok, but when I get to the closest gas station and step away to observe it in totality, clear as day, I see that my rear panel is ALSO the wrong tint/ shade of red, as my coupe is Cherry red, and the rear panel is a deep wild berry color. Pissed , I return to the shop. At this point the rep has Drew, the paint manager come outside to inspect the car. Instead of being truth and honest to recognize that the colors in fact do not match, he proceeds to tell me that what I am seeing is because of the way the sun is hitting my car. He tells me that because my car is old and the paint on the rear is new, it's a "typical " issue. However my car is ONLY three years old and in exceptional condition. After debating for about 45 minutes about what I see vs what he sees, a State Farm rep comes over and agrees that the panel does NOT MATCH the rest of the car. Drew then proceeds to tell me that as a "courtesy" he will take the Color from the panel into to the door so that it isn't as obvious. He also says that he has already wasted too much paint trying to match my bumper to the rest of the car and is not willing to do it for the panel .---But isn't that what my insurance company paid you to do?!!!! Feeling defeated and almost agreeing to allow him to further ruin my car with the wrong shade of paint, I go to the sister shop (caliber collision located in Fotestville). Ironically, the regional manger for Caliber Collision happens to be there. Not only does he agree that the paint on my rear panel does NOT MATCH, he also points out my unbalanced trunk, and A huge leak seeping through the side of the roof over the rear panel that had to be replaced ( by this time it had rained three days straight, and the entire right side of the back seat, seatbelt, and roof was soaked). I was immediately put in a complimentary rental ( on him) and told that I no longer had to worry. He heard every last concern, and even pointed out a few, and promised to deliver. Within three days, I was told that my vehicle was ready for pick up. And it was! Paint matched PERFECTLY, trunk was evenly balanced, and the back window glass had been removed so that the leak could be found and fixed. Word of advice, go to the Forestville location. You will not be dissatisfied, and you sure won't be told that your eyes are fooling you when something isn't right with your vehicle. read more

This is my 7th time bringing in my Versa Note for a "wind noise" that I hear coming from my driver side door. They've adjusted it, change the seal and still I could hear the noise. The other car insurance paid good money to get this repaired, this is unacceptable for a shop. I definitely WONT recommend this shop to no one. Run don't walk away from this so called "collision center". I was sent here through my insurance after being rear ended by another vehicle. Caliber gave me a time frame of three weeks to fix my car, they literally took more then 2 months. When i finally got the car back it was not fixed to par. My bumper literally was hanging off the response I received from Anthony the USAA contact there was " it doesn't have to look perfect" and he proceeded to take his hip and try to bang the bumper in. I literally had to get into an argument with him right in the shop due to crappy repair and call my insurance company while refusing to accept the car. My insurance company told him he had to fix it and after returning s week later the repair still wasn't correct! The collision center manager for involved by this point because Anthony refused to literally open his month to speak to me I'm assuming because i challenged him on the repairs which by the way cost my insurance $8000 plus dollars. The car had to stay an additional day after this. There also was s missing cargo Mat, spare tire and jack, the so called manager claimed he was take care of it and order me New parts due to my inconvenience however the kicker was he wanted me to give the shop a four star yelp rating in exchange for repairing my car, it still wasn't repaired correctly and i had to shell out money myself to get it fixed through an independent repair shop. This place is horrible unless you want inflated repair cost and poor repair job steer clear ! read more

Terrible customer service ! The manager is no help at all. I have used many other Caliber Collision locations and have always been satisfied. I have never had any issues and my car was always returned to me in perfect condition. The story unfortunately is not the same with the Capital Heights location. The workers here have no skills in customer service. My car was returned to me with scratches all over the top of my car. When I was told an investigation was going to be held and some one will contact me with in 1week no one ever called.I have called once a week for 3 weeks and every time the manager is always in a meeting and never returned my call. There has been no solution to this issue. I am forced to call the location and my insurance back to back. As a customer of a business that states on there site how important customer satisfaction is I am astonished how careless they have been. I warn all future possible clients of this loacatoin to please use other Caliber Collisions!!!!! It will save you a lot of time and headaches!! read more

I picked up my car 7/20/2015 after it was completed by Caliber Collision after an accident I had. I then had to get my car towed to another bodyshop due to the battery being dead. Didnt have any prior issues with my battery until then. I called Caliber Collison to get a understanding what was going on and the blame was placed on me. They basically told me it wasnt their fault and it was nothing they could do about it. They told me they would call my insurance company(Geico) and i'm still waiting to hear the results of that call. So after paying my deducible I had to turn around and pay another $130.00 for a new battery. You take your car in for one thing and you pick it up with something else wrong with it. The people in the office that I encountered were very friendly and helpful while I was there. Seems like once I walked out the door all the helpfulness and niceness walked out the door with me.
