We brought our car here to be repaired after a small fender bender. They replaced the bumper but gave the car back to us with the check engine light on because a sensor was broken during the accident. They also gave the car back to us with the turn signals not working also damaged during the accident but not fixed. So basically this place will take your money your insurance companies money and leave most of the repairs not fixed. Crooks!!! read more

I stopped in this morning to get a quote on some minor scratch repair. First I was handed a rather extensive form to fill out... seriously?!! Then, was told to have a seat until somebody could help me with the quote. I sat for 20 min! In what looked like a quiet office with the gentleman I was told would help me just sat and worked on his computer without looking up to acknowledge my presence even as the only person in the lobby. 20 minutes! PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE GOING TO CALIBER COLLISION! I have two issues: 1. The way I was treated by Caliber Collision and, 2. The poor treatment of their support staff I was privy to at Caliber Collision. I'll keep this as brief as possible. 1. The way I was treated: I had fairly minor damage to my truck. I am not from the Boise area, so I did an internet search and, of course, Caliber Collision came up. It seemed they were a large company and since you only stay in business if you provide good technical and customer service, I decided to give them a try. I stopped by and a person named Destiny Ironcloud came out and took photos of the damage to my truck and she outlined the process of getting my truck repaired. Initially, I was impressed by the attention I received. The problem is that was the last I heard from Caliber Collision. The weeks passed. I emailed Destiny Ironcloud. I called their office and left messages for her to call me. NOTHING! I soon realized that I am not a valuable customer here, I am a number and all I received at my initial encounter with Ms. Ironcloud was lip-service! She didn't give a damn one way or another if I did business with Caliber Collision or not. 2. Ok, now for the worst of it. During one of my phone calls, I spoke with Dez, their receptionist whom I had spoken with on previous calls. It was during that particular call, while speaking with Dez, that Destiny Ironcloud happened to be right there. I don't think Ms. Ironcloud knew that Dez had not put me on hold and as a consequence, I heard the disgusting disrespect Ms. Ironcloud saw fit to deliver to Dez. She yelled at Dez delivering complete and absolute disrespect in the form of verbal beratement! She was condescending, arrogant, disrespectful and self-righteous! NOT ACCEPTABLE! I believe a good barometer of a business is how they treat their staff and employees, particularly their support staff. Dez is a sweet young lady. She sits up there at the entrance representing Caliber Collision in all capacities. She probably puts out dozens of "fires", so to speak, daily. She deserves the respect of everyone who works there! Ms. Ironcloud got on the phone and I told her directly that there was no reason whatsoever to disrespect Dez or any receptionist or support staff. She curtly and shortly said that she wasn't being rude to Dez and changed the subject. That was it! I was done with Caliber Collision and especially, Ms. self-rightious, attitude woman Destiny Ironcloud!! I cancelled my repairs there and decided to find a small shop with good reviews. I found CW Collision in Boise, a small, family-owned shop. I was treated very well by CW Collision and my repairs were scheduled and completed in less than 2 weeks. On top of that, Shawn who coordinates jobs there kept me appraised every step of the way, completely opposite of what I experienced at Caliber. In short, I would suggest steering clear of Caliber Collision and any other mega-sized collision repair facility. The big boys tend to forget what got them there, and in my opinion, Caliber Collision clearly has. P.S. While on the phone, I told Dez that "no job is worth being disrespected"! If she were my daughter, I would tell her to walk off the job and never go back! read more

Working with the Idaho AG to try to understand how Caliber is still in business. Quoted me for a repair. I came back and asked if the quote was still valid and asked them point blank to re estimate it due to supply chain. They declined and made me an appointment months from then. I waited patiently and dropped my truck off. They called back next day and told me they were raising my price 50% - no exaggeration. Their excuse was that the estimator mistakenly left something off. They took full responsibility- and told me to give them 50% more money. I refused and asked to speak to a manager if they didn't want to honor the quote. Told me they'd call me right back. They wouldn't answer their phone for 48 hours (they were open, just won't answer). Finally found out they never touched my truck, but they left me paying out of pocket for a rental for a full week. Going to pickup my truck and will work through proper channels. Stay FAR FAR AWAY from this disreputable business. UPDATE: Went to pick up my wrecked, unfixed truck from Caliber. The manager refused to identify himself, refused to speak, employee gave me my keys. I went out to parking lot to find tech had left my headlights on the whole week they kept my truck (without repairing it). Manager (still hasn't spoken or identified himself) called the POLICE on me for trespassing while waiting for a jump start. I'm going to enjoy playing all these videos back for the police. False police reports are a crime....and something you'll learn more about if you patronize Caliber!!! read more

I'm only giving a 3 star review. In March of 2023 my car was in a wreck smashing both ends of my transit. Caliber was great to work with at first. They got my car in an "fixed" fast. I thought things were great. I picked up my van and saw it still had a broken license plate cover. She stated she was sorry and will have it ordered for me and will call in 3-5 days to get that fixed. No call. It's now Dec 2023. I took my van in for some work not related to the crash. My amazing mechanic saw that my hitch was not even attached proper at all. I've been using it. Thankfully had not placed a horse trailer on it yet. Did use our mini hitch hauler though. Not knowing it wasn't attached. So I took it back to caliber to have them attach my hitch properly. Made 2 apts to have them do it. First apt sat with 10kids in their office waiting past my apt time 45mins for them to tell me they will have to order the parts in. Ok fine. I gave them more then 3 weeks to get them in. Took my car in today dec 28 for a 9am apt. Got no call updating me about my car. I had to call them as my husband was on his way to pick my car up. They stated they don't have the parts and will have to order them. I can get my car upon them finishing. It's our family car that I need the hitch fixed so we can move things this weekend which is why I had this booked with plenty of time to get parts. They really lack on their skills to call their customers updating them on their personal property. A 1-2 hour fix turning to multiple days. They should update the owner of the car. I'm really disappointed. The 3 stars reflect the work that was first done in March. While yes they made a huge mistake in not attaching the hitch back up properly after fixing the rear bumper after our crash. Check to make sure all parts are attached correctly. Also take your own pictures before leaving it with them. I had proof of the hitch being attached properly prior to the collision. Maybe some training to office staff to keep people in the know about their personal property. While I know they want this done correctly they need to communicate. Edit:Jan 12th 2024, I finally got my car back and fixed properly. Took them over a month. They ended up replacing the hitch in the end. read more

Caliber Collision went above and beyond with my car. I brought it in just to get an estimate and they sent me off with a rental and my car was already off to the shop. They kept in touch with text updates of what stage my car was at with a promised finish date. They finished it a few days before the promised finished date. They even fixed another part of my car in addition just cause so my car really looks like brand new! They made the process quick, easy, and efficient! The Body work looked beautiful when I picked up my car, it what happened after I signed to release the car. As I walked to my car, I pressed the fob to unlock the car but, it did not work. I went back into the office to report the malfunction and was told it was just a dead battery. I went to the auto parts store and had the battery replaced but, it still did not work. I went home to get my second fog but, when I got home the opener in my mirror also did not work nor did the second fob. I returned to Caliber to report the error once again. This time the technician took my car back and worked on it for three and a half hours. My wife is legally blind and does not drive. I picked her up from work and returned home. Upon entering the driveway, her phone rang. I continued to park and go into the house as she continued her call. After about fifteen minutes I returned to the car to find my wife locked in the car, her door would not open from the inside. I called Caliber and explained the situation. It was Friday and the Technician had gone home for the weekend so, I was told to bring it back Monday and they would take a look at it. This conversation I was made to feel like I was the problem. Monday, I returned to Caliber and once again I was made to feel like this was my fault and I was a problem child. The took the car back and found the cable on the door they worked on was not connected. They fixed the problem and sent me on my way. There was no apology or sorry for the inconvenience but, there was a survey in my inbox when I arrived home. I filled it out and got a reply (from the owner--it says). It said, "We apologize for the inconvenience. We would love to address your concerns. Please email ...@... with the name and the vehicle center's address and city. A member of our team will get back to you soon. We look forward to hearing from you." This turned out to be window dressing to show a response the complaint on google. I responded to the email and have never heard from ANYONE. I have done business at that location for over thirty years. From Kidells Auto Body to Idaho Collision Repair and now Caliber Collision. I have never been treated this way in the past and I will not return, nor would I recommend! read more

Caliber Collision at 5102 W Chinden in Boise repaired two separate issues on my car body. The work was world class and done expeditiously. Two days earlier than I expected. The damage was significant and not only were the replacement parts were installed so well, I could literally not tell where the damage was. Also, two parts were installed free of cost because they weren't mentioned in the original diagnosis, and paint was applied free of charge, and I didn't expect any of this complimentary service. I am so glad I chose this Caliber location. I went there after reading other five star reviews and also, was suggested by my cousin who had work done there. I was taken care of by Nate, who was thorough in assessing the damage and cost. Nate was very professional and respectful, and saved me hundreds of dollars. I don't care for reviews, but this particular situation called for it. He even had my car detailed and washed. Totally amazing way to do business and I highly recommend this location and would advise anyone to ask for Nate to do what he does. This man is old school, honest, and really impressed me and my cousin before me. If you want expert treatment and work performance, go there first. Don't waste time googling any other shop.
