Update: I chose this shop because they were close to home, and I did have a good estimate experience, based on my last review. Here's what I didn't know. 1. The headliner that I went in to have estimated initially *could be done by another body shop-providing they did this work and could get the part. NOT a specialty store or dealer! 2. When getting into a fender bender I had them perform body repair. I found a part missing from the door jam and sloppiness all around the door trim. After returning home, seeing the vehicle in full light, I noticed paint drips and paint marks where clear coat wasn't applied. I went back in person to show Rich these things, no comment except that what I see is dirt, they'd order the missing part and call me. It's 90 days later with no call. I sent a letter, no call. No wonder I called a car star repair shop (also work with Statefarm) when I needed another body repair (garage malfunction) AND found out, they COULD replace the (insurance covered) headliner damage from when this initial review was written. I would not have them touch my vehicle again, especially to paint. No value and poor "lifetime warranty"?! Sincerely unbelievably sloppy. read more

My experience at Caliber was extremely impersonal. I got more attention from the receptionist. Service advisor said he would text me updates. Never did. I called 3 times before I was told my car was ready. Nobody went over it. Car was down 1/4 gas. Pressure in my right rear tire was 46psi (36 is normal). They left tape on my B pillar. No one is happy about a car crash, but Caliber was pretty easy to work with my insurance carrier. Service was friendly and only took a week to get my car fixed. The lobby is clean and they do have two electrical charging stations for EV vehicles. Parking seems to be short on spaces, so parking is a bit hectic at times, but most of my visits were pretty short so not too much to worry about it. read more

A couple of weeks ago, I was stopped at a light and the person behind me didn't stop until he hit my car. State Farm gave me the names of a few service centers and Caliber Collision had the best Yelp reviews, so of course, I went with them, and I'm so happy I did. Service from the first phone call was exceptional. Angela answered the phone and set up the appointment. She gave me detailed directions. It's a free standing location on 2nd Ave just south of Spanish River. When I arrived, I was introduced to Teran, one of the service advisors. This guy is totally on top of his game. He took detailed pictures of the car and contacted me within 24 hours and had a detailed estimate and a time frame for the repair. He also gave me the information for Hertz so that I would have a rental ready when the car was dropped off. This shop is so professional from the moment you walk in the door until all the work is fully completed. The best communication I've ever had from a repair shop. My car is less than a year old and you would never know it was hit. They replaced everything with original parts and since they are an approved State Farm shop there's a warranty on all the work for as long as I own the car. Teran was so very helpful he called every day to keep me updated and I even got my car back earlier than expected. Not only was it completed a week ahead of schedule, but I got it back fully detailed! Teran also took the rental car and had it returned to Hertz. They mostly do insurance claims, so if they are affiliated with your insurance company, I highly recommend them. read more

I went down to caliber collision in Boca Raton on NW. 2nd Ave. to get a quote, and I explained to them that it's an older car, but I'd like to get it repaired and pay for it out-of-website; "NO they don't want customers off the street, Insurance only" Check out their financing They also take American Express Visa MasterCard, all according to their website. This review primarily concerns wasting your time as a consumer. Don't go here, If you plan to pay them to do work out-of-pocket, the answer is they only work with insurance companies for whatever reason. I guess that leaves it open to your imagination. Also, I did ask if they would review the pictures to tell me in a ballpark what it would cost to repair so I have a starting point to work with $ 5,000 $10,000 the accident was minor. The airbags didn't deploy, did some front-end damage, the headlights needed to be replaced, and a couple of the plastic parts of the hood were bent, so it would also need to be replaced and painted. So, if you're looking for some company in Boca Raton to do a job for you that involves auto body repair, caliber collision is not the one, especially you Veterans, I told them why offer a veterans special if you don't take cash or credit but your website says totally the opposite. FYI I ask to speak to the manager to get a better understanding of the business model and the receptionist and the associate giving the estimates both reiterated, we only work with insurance companies we're a franchise. Teran took over and has been excellent with communication and helping get my car repaired as well going over and beyond installing my headlights. I went to caliber for a quote on a minor repair. The first thing that they asked was whether or not I was putting it through insurance. I told them I preferred to pay for it myself being that it was something minor but they wouldn't even look at it unless my insurance company requested the repair. The bottom line is that it was a complete waste of time going to get an estimate from Caliber. Even when I told them I would consider putting it through insurance depending on the cost they refused to look at it even though my vehicle was right outside. I would not recommend this business unless your insurance company sends you there. Caliber is not a good choice for small repair jobs. read more

RUN, DON'T WALK from this establishment. Save yourself the headaches. Absolutely awful workmanship and they had my vehicle for 23 days. My vehicle was brought to this shop for repair from an auto accident because it was one of their "Premier" shops. This was the beginning of the challenges. First, I had asked them about the quality of their work. I specifically asked if it would be "perfect", as if it just came of the showroom floor. The response from Drew was: "That is the goal". I said: "that didn't answer my question". He said yes, you won't know it had damage. So, I scheduled the work. Drop off was great. Drew wasn't there, but the service writer was nice. And this is where the good ends. My first encounter with their GM, Carlo Villarosa, was awful. There was confusion about a wheel, whether it would be covered by insurance or not, nothing to do with them at all, and during the conversation, he hung up on me. No apologies or any type of response from him for the duration. No swearing or disrespect, just a discussion about the insurance company. So, not a professional process either. Drew was the most professional of the experience. I get the call to come pick up my truck. When I get there, the paint color was so far off, I wasn't sure how they would pass this off as complete, let alone attempt to give this terrible workmanship to a customer. Aside from the paint variations, they were missing clips in the door moldings, hood, doors, body...etc were all misaligned. The interior had fingerprints all over the dash, door panels and it wasn't cleaned up at all. I personally detailed the vehicle before dropping it off. I refused the vehicle. Second attempt: Drew calls and says: "It's all set". I replied: "Are you sure it is finished" his reply: "I think so" Me: "That's not a reassuring response" Drew: "You have the final approval" I drive down to pick it up and they had misplaced my key. Not upset, because things happen. I just want my car to be 100%. So, I said: "can I at least look at the vehicle to make sure it is finished"? Not only was it not finished, but they had broken a clip on the windshield molding and instead of replacing it, they put double sided tape. There were still gaps, this time larger than the original ones. Doors were still misaligned and they didn't paint the gas cover, like they said there would, and claimed it had been done. So, I am not happy in the least, and I refuse the vehicle again. I was told that they would finish it in the morning and have it ready for the afternoon/early evening the following day. I told them to please take their time and do it right. 7 days later and 2 separate corporate calls which were not responded to for 5 days. I was told that the Regional Manager was getting involved and he would get back to me personally. This came from the representative from their corporate headquarters in Texas. She was super nice!! Not only did he Not contact me, he took 2 days to even go to the shop to look over the vehicle and sign off on it. Never contacting me nor wait for my final inspection. This is now Strike 3...clearly they do not do good work, nor do they check their work well enough. Upon inspection, I found more variations in color as well as the door still not aligned correctly. Top it off, they were missing an entire door gasket which thankfully, I know my vehicle, and brought it to their attention. They also missed 3 other rubber grommets which is absurd. I immediately contacted my insurance adjuster and told her that I didn't feel comfortable leaving my vehicle there due to the facts stated above. She advised me to take the vehicle and we are now taking it to a shop for it to be repaired correctly. I honestly don't know how this business is can pass off completed projects which clearly are not finished. Also, the quality of their workmanship is far below acceptable standards. I was honestly waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out and tell me I had been "punk'd". Run, don't walk from this business. read more

Let me just start off by saying Martin is the man!! Extremely helpful, professional, and friendly from the start assured me that the work would be done to the highest standard (it was). He called and updated me multiple times on the status of my car and estimated completion. Angela was the first person that I spoke to on the phone. We ended up talking several times that first day as she was helping me coordinate with Enterprise to get a rental car. She was very helpful, friendly and patient with the whole process. I was looking forward to meeting her in person and she was just as polite and helpful in person. Bannister was my service advisor. He was also friendly and professional. I felt that both Angela and Bannister cared about what they were doing and took the time to listen to me and answer all of my questions. Bannister was very good about giving me regular updates and my car was ready in the time period that he had provided. I was pleased with the work that they did. They even fixed the foam on one of my windows which was not part of the designated repair work. The Manager Carlos called me to follow-up after the work was completed. You should never do business with this business. Let me tell you why. I took my car to Caliber Collision in Boca Raton, FL for body work after someone hit my car. They took almost one month to finish a dent and paint job that they told me would take 1 week to 1.5 weeks max. Meanwhile I had a rental car from the insurance agency for this duration. Once I picked up my car, there was a new nail in the tire. They admitted to the nail and plugged the tire. The bill for the car was suppose to be paid for by the other person's insurance agency. So I did not owe any money because it was their fault. HOWEVER, a couple weeks after the incident I get a call from Caliber Collision demanding I pay them. They did not work out the final bill with the insurance agency because they took a long time to complete the car and were demanding more money than originally quoted. They treated me as a middleman/bank and demanded I pay them in 10 days. The center manager of the shop is name Carlo Villarosa. He accused me over the phone of stealing from the company as "YOU DONT GO TO WALMART AND RUN OUT WITH A GALLON OF MILK". I told them that they need to handle this with the insurance agency, as I have no part in the payment process and should not be a middle man because you are in disagreement with the insurance agency. AND because they took almost a month for the car completion, the insurance agency would not reimburse me for the rental car. They paid for 17 of 27 days. Therefore I was left with a huge bill to pay out of my pocket! Never go here unless you want a HUGE HEADACHE!!!! After a couple months I can see the "quality work" they did on the car. The paint is chipping off and looks terrible on the edges from the incorrect paint. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more
