We were involved in a Tee-Bone hit and run and our insurance (Safeco), sent is here. While the damage appeared significant enough to be totaled out by insurance, the estimate was under that key metric. I think this is part of their tactic: if it's totaled out, they don't get the job. Additionally, we were regularly spoken down to by our service advisor like we lacked common sense, but I am very fluent in automobile. Estimate was 1 month to complete the work, but for various reasons it was closer to 3 months. We had tried to take delivery 3 times and each time, we discovered yet another issue: besides a wicked bad alignment, broken air-conditioning, broken sliding door, the big one was an entirely BENT rear axle that was clear as day. This created another month delay and $6,000 adjustment (see, it should have been totaled). After some consultation with Insurance, we accepted delivery of our bent up broken mini-van without working Air-conditioning, sliding mini van door and still bad alignment. Our insurance got us in at Caliber collision on Prestige Circle, where we were treated with dignity and respect from the General Manager. He expertly managed the correction of the alignment, sliding door, and air-conditioning. read more

Worst place ever. I took my wife's Tahoe here after a wreck and it literally fell apart within the first week. The emblem fell off the front and the siding peeled back within a week. A girl scraped the side of my parked car backing out of a spot in a parking lot and called her insurance - Liberty Mutual - to start the claim. They suggested Caliber Collision, who conveniently has a rental car place in the adjacent parking lot. The entire process was so convenient. The staff was friendly. They got my car in and out in just a few days, even detail cleaned it inside and out, which was super nice. Cherry on top - they took my registration sticker off for me, which always takes me forever. So needless to say, they went above and beyond and my repair looks great. They are very good at explaining the work and process, the timeline involved, they worked seamlessly with my insurance company, and the quality of workmanship was incredible. They kept me well informed of the status of my vehicle. The facilities were always clean and comfortable, and the entire staff delightful. Do not waste your time here. Please take it to the dealer. 1 week turned into 2 1/2. They pushed back my pick up 3 times. Their excuse was waiting on the insurance company and the dealer. Take them out of the equation, and the repair will be completed faster with better customer service. Update to my previous review. Once I picked up my car and expressed my frustration. I asked the manager to compensate me for my time lost is having to follow up and not given the correct information. He said he would mail me a $200 gift card. I was happy with that resolution and we would end here if the manager ever mailed this gift card out. I waited over two weeks to contact them just in case. I called and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back to be informed the manager was out. Called the next day and the manager was not available. Finally got a call back and the manager told he the gift card was under a pile of papers and he forgot to mail it. I drove and picked up the card and when I turned it on, it said it was purchased Aug 9, 2:46pm. So this means the manager lied. Needless to say, if you want poor customer service and people who lie to you, then this is your place. read more

I am absolutely amazed by how great of customer service Trent and his team have. I took my vehicle in and within 4 days it was completed. During walk around of the vehicle they discovered an imperfection in the paint. Without hesitation they apologized and provided a free rental until their work was finished. When finished a week later they not only fixed the issue but detailed my vehicle as well. In the world we live in today it seems that most places are not focused on Customer service and a quality experience. However caliber does!!! My whole experience was substandard from start to finish. Despite making an appointment and arriving early, I was passed over for a walk in customer. There were literally three people in the waiting area. I have no idea how the receptionist missed this. After this, my repair took longer than expected, I had to return to have my loose bumper tightened. They apologized and promised all was fine. About a week later, I noticed the tail lamps for my replaced tail lights were not illuminated. I called and asked for a manager to call me back, but no one did. I replaced the bulbs myself. I provided this feedback to my insurance company as well. If the need ever arises, I will never take another vehicle to Caliber Collision in Allen. read more

Brought my car for an estimate on damage to the bumper. Quoted @$1000 and told it would be a 3-4 day job. Made an appointment to drop it off on a Monday. Wednesday comes and I haven't heard from anyone. Called and told they were just getting it in to take a look and it the cost was going to be twice what I was quoted and a couple extra days. Ok, so I'm a little upset. But what upset me more is in the 2 weeks they had my car, NO ONE ever called me to keep me updated, and actually the service tech ignored my calls a couple times. Caliber Collision in Allen is the ONLY place I allow to even touch my car. Over the past 2 years they have done everything from repair to customization. Instead of spending $2K on custom wheels, they suggested powder-coating my stock aluminium wheels for 1/4 the cost of purchasing. They clean up, and shine up, by simply wiping with a dry cotton rag or old sock. Their prices are very fair, they guarantee their work, have always finished on time... and are just plain good people. While my car was finally fixed I had to bring it back at least 5 times. I had to physically go to a dealership and have them pull the right bumper for my car so that I could take a picture of the part to prove to CC they had the wrong bumper on my car. It is though they have no quality control. After I finally received my car and got on the road, found that they had not plugged in my rear lights, no light, no blinker and no brake light which of course made me have one more hour out of my day. Not only will I never recommend Caliber, I will go out of my way to let people know how substandard their work is. I received several dents on one side of my car from a mishap at a local car wash. The dents are now repaired but the paint (in pristine condition) isn't even close to the condition it was prior. I had Caliber redo the paint work which was simply a waste of time. They returned the car with overspray on the windows, panels and door frame as if to say that was an acceptable condition. If you have a nice, well kept vehicle that you want repaired or restored its up-kept condition, Caliber Collision cannot be an option. D George Allen, TX read more

Got into a little fender bender recently - wanted bring my car in for an assessment of the damage and eventual repair. Called Caliber Collision in Allen and spoke to Jordan -- wanted make an appointment for the damage assessment but was told that I couldn't make an appointment but could only walk-in instead. Was also told that their hours were around 7 am to 6 pm. Drove to the Caliber Collision location and got there around 5:15 pm (after work) - spoke to Jordan to get set-up for the assessment. She excused herself, spoke to the manager and came back to tell me that they will only take in walk-in customers before 5 pm. I love it when a company is somewhat successful that they would make arbitrary nonsensical polices that infuriates a potential customer. I have read reviews about Caliber Collision in general and the reviews are mostly hit or miss. But to earn one-star from me (a potential customer) for your lack of customer service really takes the cake. You earned this review and I won't be back. read more

After walking in the shop, setting up an appointment, they have no appointment scheduled for repairing my car. When I was there, they said it would take 2 weeks and the insurance company was surprised. If I could give a zero rating I would. This is not how a professional shop would manage business. read more

Worst Ever! Dont go there! They took twice as long as they quoted me which cause a lot of issues. Also when I got my car back there were extra scratches on the hood and side that wasnt there. The didnt fix the door handle. I have pics of all for proof since I took before pics from the accident. Did I mention they installed a wrong part which took another day to correct. They drove 401 miles on my car that was sitting in the shop the whole time??? I have proof in pics as well as they documented the mileage too. Unexplained. They left painters tape, paper, water bottle, and random small pieces of trash in my trunk. Then when I get home which is 2 miles from there I see an allen wrench stuck in the sidewall of my tire which I had to pay to get replaced. They went way the initial quote obviously to scam the insurance company. All I had was a dent in my door and a few areas to buff out and it turned out to be a nightmare. I was warned about this place myself but decided to try it anyways because it was close to my house. Dont be the next victim. read more
