While checking out some front window displays outside, the director, Pat, came out and greeted us and invited the kiddos inside to look around at all the art work, which they loved. Pat was very friendly and knowledgable about the gallery as she was more than willing to give us a little back history of business, along with some info for adult and children classes. The gallery itself was very clean and the art was displayed very well. The gift shop inside the gallery was medium sized with lots of local arts, photos, crafts, and diverse merchandise all from local artists within 100 miles of the area. All in all, the gallery was a great visit with local art, in a clean environment, and great staff.

She was also very affirming of those in our group who were more confident painters and wanted to put their own spin on the painting. Overall, a fun evening out and definitely worth the money. Most recently I took a canvas here to be framed, and the owner patiently answered my questions about various options and price ranges. I was a little disappointed in the turn around--10 days after putting in our gallery wrap order, they still hadn't started on it. But they redeemed themselves by finishing it that very afternoon. So overall it was a good experience.

Then I ran across a gorgeous mosaic by Rachel Sagers and snatched it right up! The woman who helped me with my purchase was friendly and made sure that my art was carefully wrapped and ready for transit. These exhibits will rotate from local up and comers to established artists for many years. Beyond the gallery this is a phenomenal place for all of your framing needs. As my wife and I travel to various destinations local art is our souvenir of choice with our walls in our house telling a story of our adventures. Joy does an incredible job understanding our style and willingly accepting any challenge we throw at her. We have now had close to 20 pieces framed with little direction other than big picture vision. She has never failed to delight us!! Lastly, Joy the owner is reason enough to visit. Situated in a heavy bar and dining area, it brings elegance into the neighborhood. You can visit their exhibits in-person and also shop online to view their available prints, wearable art and pottery. They have a huge commitment to local fine art, showcasing women artists and artists of color. Diversity matters here and it's so clear in their expansive pieces. As an aspiring collector, I've attended a few events with the Column & Stripe group where we've learned from their awesome staff about building a collection, including making smart art investments. The Harris Stanton is a special Cleveland gallery. I hear they are looking to sell this location, which is sad, because I think they are lovely in every way! They also offer Gallery Services like acquiring, installing, commissioning or appraising your collection. One day when I'm rolling in the dough, I will 200% trust Harris Stanton to curate my collection for me!!
