Butter chicken

What a delicious meal. It's a small place with a limited staff. So be patient. They do have a full bar no seating behind the staff stand. The park is a big lot shared with many other stores, but I found a spot easily.

Absolutely phenomenal food. It's a smaller restaurant in a strip mall but it is BUSY and there's a reason why. The chili momo stole the show. They were flavorful and spiced just right with a hint of sriracha. The spring rolls were delicious. I would pass on the Caesar. It isn't super flavourful but it's okay. Get the curry instead. It was delicious. The restaurant is located a few minutes from the Calgary airport so it's a quick Uber over if you have a layover.

What a surprising and popular spot near the Calgary airport - probably liked the chili momo the best of the ones that we tried on the sampler - next time would want to try the steamed momos

This is a wonderful mom and pop business. The owner is from Kathmandu and very lovely about sharing the Nepalese cuisine. It's a relaxing place with calming music and visual aesthetics. The food was very tasty. I'd recommend the Chili Momo - the chili sauce was addicting - and the Chicken Jhol Momo. The chili momo is fried and the johl momo is steamed in a tomato and sesame seed based sauce. I liked the steam momo better, but the chili momo sauce was so yum. Don't forget to order the appetizer - Goat Choila (dry aged goat salad). The texture, crunch and freshness of the ingredients. Chef's kiss! Fun fact- third largest Nepalese community in Canada resides in Calgary!

It was such a delightful experience! It was a regular, small-sized restaurant with probably 10-12 tables, with fresh and modern decor. We ordered Jhol-momo and chicken chowmein from the menu and freshly brewed Chai off the menu (yes, you have to ask for chai separately and be willing to wait 20 minutes for the fresh brew). We also requested a higher-than-max-spice level and were pleasantly surprised with a side of black, chilly oil. Our server shared that it's an in-house sauce, which sure tasted like something I had never tasted before. Amazing food and very warm hospitality! We tried this restaurant on the first evening of our Banff trip, and undoubtedly, it has now set a very high standard for other restaurants to follow! Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Absolutely the best Momos I ever had! I had quite a few living in Toronto. There are several restaurants that make momos and when I heard there was a Momo restaurant in Calgary I knew I had to try it. They have 3 different options: chicken, goat and veggie. They had about 5 different kinds of Momo too. I had the Tandoori and the Jhol Momo. Both were excellent! Each order comes in 10 but I did ask to do 2 half orders so I could try more than 1 kind. We also ordered the Mainz dinner which was 3 different curries with rice. Very good. I really wish they were more central. We live very far from this restaurant. If they were more central we would come alot more often. However, this is a restaurant that is worth the trek all the way past the airport!

SO GOOD. Very glad we stopped here on our way out of town. Short drive from the airport so if you have a long layover, you could easily eat here. Located in a strip mall, the place itself is small and pretty unassuming but has nice touches of Himalayan culture. There was one person working out front but service was fast and efficient. We ended up ordering the jhor momos and the tandoori momos followed by the butter chicken. I wish I had gotten the lamb shank - someone at the table next to us got it and it looked amazing. 100% would stop here again

Steamed Momo - Chicken ($12.50)

#MumusForMomos! That's not a thing, but it may as well be after a scrumptious and filling meal at Calgary Momo House. After all, good food + loose clothes = a more satisfied belly. It's simple math. Calgary Momo House is tucked away in a plaza that is heavily catered toward the Indian community. In my short trip to Calgary, my friend and I ended up going twice despite the drive out because these momos are unforgettable and the service is great to boot. Our favourites were the Steamed Momo - Lamb ($13.90), followed by the Steamed Momo - Chicken ($12.50). You really get the true flavour of the rather generous filling without any sauce to mask it or a fried exterior to change its mouthfeel. We still enjoyed the other styles (Jjol (house soup), Chili (wok fried), Fried, and Tandoori (masala spices)), but simple sometimes is best. On our first visit, we were accidentally served what I believe was the Chicken Thukpa (Nepali noodle soup) ($11.90), which ended up being on the house. It was kind of reminiscent of a Tom Yum Gong. We also tried the Goat Choila (grilled goat with flaked rice) ($14.50) on our second visit. It had an interesting texture with the flaked rice, but the goat was a tad dry for our liking. In short, Calgary Momo House is THE house you want to visit for some incredible momos in Calgary. Now can we get a Vancouver Momo House too?

Butter chicken, naan both amazingly delicious just wish there was more chicken in there

Nom nom nom. Came…read morehere with my mom the other day and we're both hooked! This place comes highly recommended for their dosas (which I had never heard of) so we both ordered the butter chicken dosa and a coconut rice. We were both blown away by our meals! The presentation is really fun, the flavour was mind blowing, and we had more than enough to eat for an excellent price. We got to meet the chef afterward, who was incredibly friendly and told us about how dosas are made and what spices he uses. The decor may be a little wacky, but I didn't really care. Our server wasn't very helpful in giving any pointers about what we should order, but luckily you now have this review to help you! The downside was we had a bit of a wait because they were short handed in the kitchen. However, the chef was very gracious and the food was worth the wait. Come a little early if you're starving.

The window is covered by a wrap with a sample of the menu offerings and does not add tremendously…read moreto the appeal of this restaurant. Inside the decor is kind of tiki meets outdoor park, with little fake birds and plants adorning the walls, music and bird song matches the decor. Do not think that the kitschy decor will detract or diminish the food experience....!!!! The restaurant is clean and will definitely give diners lots to talk about too. The food is delicious and portions are good. The dosa masala is huge, crisp and very good. We had onion pakora, chili paratha and a chicken biriyani to round out our dinner. I could have absolutely gourged myself and not left anything but we took leftovers home which I was super excited to eat. Prices are reasonable and will make this one of my go to spots for Indian food for sure! Spicing is good and flavours are really very good. There is lots of parking and honestly I'm planning another visit sooner rather than later. Service is a little timid but very friendly. Go visit them you won't be disappointed!!!

They should provide a 2nd sauce. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, which came with white steamed rice which we liked since most places you have to order rice separately, but the cubes of pork were so small, lean and quite dry and the carrots tasted old. We ordered the phingsha which was overpriced for what it was. Portion size was very small, the beef was dry and chewy. We would like to come back and try some other items, but we weren't overly impressed with our choices other than the chicken momos

Unfortunately, the online…read moreordering system was a bit quirky(not all the menu items were showing up) when my husband tried to order on his iPhone, so I had to place our order the old-fashioned way (via our landline) instead. Our food was prepared quickly (20 minutes), packed efficiently(i.e. remained hot and intact in their containers without any leakage), and was ready for hubby to pick up when he arrived. #3. Momo Platter($16): these are definitely our favourites(we prefer them steamed)! The platter includes 4 beef, 2 vegetable, and 2 tofu momos that should be eaten with their homemade chili oil sauce. #25. Chicken Gyathuk($14): this is like a chicken ramen with bits of vegetables in a flavourful broth. The chicken is shredded/torn and very tender. #26. Beef Thenthuk($14): this soup hits the spot and is so comforting on a chilly day like today. I love the thick, chewy hand pulled pasta which reminds me of the Xi'an biang biang noodles. So, in response to Jonny M., I'm sorry that you were disappointed, but these noodles are not like Chinese la mian! #27. Beef Mokthuk($16): what can we say? This soup is another winner! There are plenty of beef dumplings in this bowl for three to share!
