Let me preface by saying the ONLY reason I am giving this place four stars is because there's not a…read more4.5. My "dislike" was they give you a heap of fries and I don't eat fries like that. Outside of that, it's amazing. My neighborhood had a food truck night so my husband, Mom and I attended where we experienced Pollywog's. We each ordered the fish basket. I have major food allergies. The fact they knew what was in the ingredients of their seasonings was a plus but to know I could eat here was super exciting. Their ingredients are more natural than you normally find. The fish basket was catfish and fries with a side of their secret sauces. I'm originally from Mississippi so I'm serious about my catfish. You have to know how to really clean and cook catfish in order for it to be tasty. Their secret sauces match perfectly with the flavors of the fish and fries. I dipped my fish in the orange colored sauce and my fries in the red sauce. The orange colored sauce is the consistency of Hollandaise sauce. It's like a Cajun tarter sauce of some sorts. The red sauce is like a fancy Cajun ketchup. Not only were the catfish nuggets and fries cooked to perfection, the crew's customer service was elite! Oh and the food is cooked to order so don't come here thinking the food is under a heat lamp. Next time I have to share the the swamp fries with someone and have as a meal (don't judge me) because the description the chef gave me was perfect for some fun, comfort food. Again, the only reason I gave it four stars is because you get like six catfish nuggets and an extra large serving of fries. Outside of that, I will be searching for them when I want some catfish.

I believe with just a few changes it could live up to the hype. They were out of pork belly, for it to not be a daily menu item I was disappointed. Ribs weren't tender, cheese in sausage got cold which gave it a weird texture and made it chewy- after that, the pair didn't mix well. The mac and cheese was loaded with cheese sauce, more like soup. I really liked the corn dressing but the sweet barbecue sauce was overpowering. I'm not sure if it was raspberry or cherry but I would've preferred an original sauce on the side. The tacos lacked flavor. A very mediocre $90 meal. It may be that demographic area that took a liking to Space City and I admire the support but I could count numerous other bbq joints that'll blow them out of the water.

Hey Jesus Diaz (Manager) if you ever read this, Myra is the reason you're losing business and the sole reason I will never patronize your establishment again. It took investigative work to find out her name which she attempted to lie about, it took investigative work to find out that you Jesus Diaz was the manager because Myra loves to lie and tell people that she is in charge. If I had a vote I would vote for Tatiana or Isabell to be in charge because they have been nothing but spectacular which is everything Myra could never be. Myra loves to lie and make orders that don't adhere to the dietary constraints when customers order. She can kill someone with her antics. I usually come at night and had never seen her before but once coming across her I have nothing good to say about El Regio. Fire Myra! She's a stain on your company or her company if she gets to lying once again. It's truly sad because now I'd rather give my coins to the taco truck down the street. Really El Regio only deserves 1 star as long as Myra is associated with your establishment!
