I took it there several times before they were able to discover the issue. The service representative I dealt with was Justin Brown. He absolutely agreed with me that there was a leak and was as determined as I was to find the issue and get it fixed. Turns out it was an issue that all Honda Civic hatchbacks had and Honda came out with a resolution. I had my car back for regular service and did not deal with Justin but another representative and the experience was not the same. I was sorely disappointed and called to speak with the Service Manager about my disappointing experience. The manager said that in the future I could deal directly with Justin Brown. Recently I had an issue with my air conditioning system not blowing really cold air. I called and spoke with Justin about the issue. He arranged an appointment for me to come in when it was convenient for me. Justin had the system checked and it was determined that the ac compressor was the issue. It was a $3,000.00 repair and it was no longer under warranty. Justin told me he would contact Honda about it and see if they would be willing to cover the cost, due to the car being a 2024 model and only having 49k on it. He said "I would expect it to last longer than that." The next day Justin contacted me and said Honda would cover all but $100.00 of the cost. He stated that if they didn't charge me anything, they couldn't give me a warranty. I was pleased with the outcome and Justin's experience and understanding in dealing with this situation. A $100.00 to me for a 3k repair was as though I was paying a deductible on an insurance policy. I also received a 4 year / 48k mile warranty on the new compressor. Unfortunately Justin is only one person and he cannot be everyone's Service Representative, but consider yourself lucky if you do get him as yours. Justin is by far the best employee I have ever dealt with in any department of any car dealership. East Coast Honda is blessed to have him.

When I confront them on this, there is conveniently no real way to figure out which report is correct. At this point, so many issues it seems intentional and I think the BBB needs to look into this dealership. I am selling my car soon and will be going back to Toyota. Also, go online to see potential deals because they will never show you or be aware of them. Tried to charge me 90+$ for an oil change and I said no there is an afternoon special where it's cheaper.

Anyways walked in here with my dad, and both the female and male who was the owner, were very nice and answered my dads questions. The reason why we didn't ultimately bring the car here is because of an insurance issue, as progressive didn't list them after we filed our claim and wanted an estimate which involved a vehicle inspection in which we did for the claim. Despite their website saying that they accept most insurances. But doesn't rule them out completely, maybe well use them for non insurance work if needed or for something else!

Paid $745.94 Toward an Ignition Problem -- Left With the Same Problem…read more I brought my 2002 Dodge Ram to Coastal Car Fix for a very specific problem that I documented before the repair: the ignition could leave the accessories powered with the key removed and drain the battery. I paid $150 for diagnosis, then authorized the repair they recommended. The ignition-cylinder/key job was another $595.94. The new cylinder felt better, but the actual problem I paid them to diagnose and address never went away. When I returned, Coastal told me the tumbler was working properly and that the fault was actually the ignition switch, which they said was likely the underlying issue that caused the original tumbler problem. They then wanted another $280.51 for that repair. I even offered to pay for the additional $58.64 switch part plus tax if they would cover the repeat labor. They declined. Instead of standing behind the original diagnosis and getting the problem resolved, their response eventually became that the truck is 24 years old with nearly 250,000 miles and even included a comment about "budgeting." The truck's age wasn't a secret when they accepted it, diagnosed it, recommended the repair, and accepted payment. We can afford another $280. We refuse to pay twice to resolve the same problem. There is also a separate $216.59 charge on my original invoice labeled "Program New Keys For The Vehicle IMMO." I was never provided new keys--I left with the same key I brought in. I have requested an explanation and documentation for that charge. Their invoice advertises a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty on repairs, yet I'm taking the truck somewhere else with the same malfunction I originally brought it in for. I paid for professional diagnosis and a recommended repair. The specific problem remained. Based on my experience and how the return visit was handled, I absolutely do not recommend Coastal Car Fix.
