I recieved 7 stiches to my lip and 3 to my hand. Within 3 days my lip became necrotic. I saw my PCP on day 4 and her IMMEDIATE reaction was that I needed to see a surgeon THAT DAY!! No one was available on Day 5 Dr.Russ examined me.... cut out the necrotic tissue on my lip and performed the MOST AMAZING reconstruction surgery!! He claimed he wasn't a plastic surgeon but his work was AMAZING. After following his treatment plan as instructed... when I came back 3 days later for my post-op visit. He was thrilled that the wound looked 1000% better and so was I !!! On day 10 he removed the sutures he placed and OMG!!! The deformity that I anticipated having was NO LONGER an issue because his work was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING leaving only a hairline scar!!! His team and office staff were also AMAZING and very empathtic to my situation from the first day that I entered the office!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The whole procedure took less than 30 minutes from the time I was out under general anesthesia to when I woke up. Very little pain and very little bleeding. I'm on my second day now and have virtually no pain. I cannot recommend him enough and was delighted that he takes our insurance through Humana. I went in for a consultation about a broken tooth. From the first person I spoke with I felt at ease. Each person displayed professionalism and courtesy. Dr Hopkins asked about why I was there. Explained what he would do to check my tooth before doing it. After he examined it, he agreed with my dentist that the tooth needed to be removed as there was not enough of it to repair. An appointment was made for the removal. The removal went smoothly and for the most part pain free. I remember one needle stick. He told me I would feel it before he did it. I personally recommend Dr Hopkins. He was easy to talk with and he and his staff did an outstanding job for me.

I didn't think to post this review until my granddaughter was scheduled to have her wisdom teeth removed in his office. I knew I couldn't allow her to be a patient of his, and I knew I had to warn others that he is incompetent. My mother saw him for several months. Had he diagnosed her correctly she might have lived, or maybe lived longer. By the time she was diagnosed it had spread to her jaw and her brain. Not an easy death. Nothing was properly explained to me, no care plan was presented to me with costs. I was bombarded by numbers and means by which the practice could extract dollars out of my wallet and my available annual dental benefit. 3. A partial was produced same day to help me get through an interview the following day. The first number was $275, once the practice manager had done her magic, it was $395. 4. Dr. Smith fitted the partial at 4:30 PM, but did not explain anything with regards to the care of the partial other than putting in a denture bath when not in use. 5. I was promised a call with regards to presentation of a care plan and a number of options based on that care plan. More importantly they could not tell me how much anything was and four days later I still did not have any idea of costs or what the care plan approach was. This lack of transparency made me feel very unhappy and uncomfortable with continuing my treatment with this practice. This dental practice seems to be very busy and no one seems to have any time for patient care, there is more emphasis on what insurance you have and how you are going to pay for your visit.
