First I was so impressed with the office itself very clean friendly cozy comfortable atmosphere. I found the best chair to sit in that was in the corner next to the windows. I had prepared to settle in for a long wait so I had my coffee, my own magazines, a book, my iPad, water and a snack. With the comfy chair all I needed was a fireplace and I would be at home. Lol. The staff was excellent. I can't say enough how inviting, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable the staff was. All of them. How they explained HIPPA to my friend and procedure that would be performed was of patience and understanding. They explained insurance in layman's terms and didn't mind repeating to make sure we understood everything. I was impressed that I was allowed back with him on initial to go over the X-rays and while Dr Meekins explained everything. He answered my questions as well as my friends and explained exactly what he needed to do to follow up afterwards. The room was like the office very comfortable. Dr Meekins has a wonderful personality and great bedside manner. Extremely knowledgeable and doesn't mind explaining things. If I didn't already love my dentist I would definitely come here for service. This is one dentist office that I felt very relaxed and comfortable in. The whole ambiance was like that. The staff alone makes this place great. I watched as the receptionist took care with every patient that arrived. After extraction I visit my regular dentist who had received a letter from the Center for Oral & Facial Surgery of Memphis stating the extraction had been completed and a follow up had been scheduled. I was never scheduled for a follow. The letter to my dentist wasn't honest. Guess it's about the money.

I recieved 7 stiches to my lip and 3 to my hand. Within 3 days my lip became necrotic. I saw my PCP on day 4 and her IMMEDIATE reaction was that I needed to see a surgeon THAT DAY!! No one was available on Day 5 Dr.Russ examined me.... cut out the necrotic tissue on my lip and performed the MOST AMAZING reconstruction surgery!! He claimed he wasn't a plastic surgeon but his work was AMAZING. After following his treatment plan as instructed... when I came back 3 days later for my post-op visit. He was thrilled that the wound looked 1000% better and so was I !!! On day 10 he removed the sutures he placed and OMG!!! The deformity that I anticipated having was NO LONGER an issue because his work was ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING leaving only a hairline scar!!! I asked if I should go ahead and get all four of my wisdom teeth out but because I chose to do local anesthesia instead of IV sedation, he recommended that I just get the two bottoms out first then come back for the others.
