I was in the Ace Hardware store in Calcutta Ohio to drop off UPS packages. I saw a man with an Ace Hardware shirt on. He seemed to be upset with a young man who was working with him. The older man was loudly scolding him in the middle of the isle which I found disturbing. I went on to observe the situation noting that the older man had a "Make America Great Again 45 - 47" ball cap on. I asked the young man helping me with my UPS package if I could speak with the MOD. He told me the man I had been observing was the MOD. The young man asked me if he could help me. I said I thought it was inappropriate that an employee was making a political statement. I am aware that Ron Graff Jr. owns the franchise to the store and said that I would be notifying him. He remarked, "Mr. Graff was just in the store and didn't say anything to him." There is plenty of hardware competition very close to this store. I will not be shopping this store any longer until the management makes it known to the employees that advertising one's political views is unacceptable while wearing an Ace Hardware uniform. read more
