It is easy to recycle at Calbag's. They are fast and I love they are trying to protect our earth.

Let me give you all a fair warning when coming here if you dont want to get ripped off. I bring in alot of copper and precious metals and to be treated like I have was unbelievable all because I arrived 10 minutes before closing one day I also get ripped off and mind you I still finished before closing cause I do understand everyone wants to go home after a long days hard work but when a customer shows up during opening hours doesn't matter if its a minute before you treat them with respect for one and it's not like you're not getting paid. After realizing how much they have shorted me on #1 copper the guys remark was " well that's what happens when you dont show up earlier and right at closing" I was in disbelief and so shocked to hear such a disrespectful comment I just left and started taking my business elsewhere. I forget his name but he's one of the bigger and taller Caucasian males that work there who usually wears a hat or a beanie so try to avoid him at all cost. I've never had an issue with him before and many people have warned me about him but now I know unfortunately. read more

OK, it's like this. Recycling has been in my family for 3 generations, it's in our blood. Sad as it is 80% of the scrap yards I've been to [ all of them ] I've been ripped off. I think me and the scale operator have different opinions on HMS but one time they under paid me $46.00 somehow, I didn't know it happened till 3 or 4 days later when I received a check in the mail. That my fellow scrapers is honesty. And they match top prices on everything. Last I looked the had highest price for copper. Hard to please is very happy, thank you. Hmm,,I don't scrap metal but I heard some real bad things lately through the grapevine about this company!,, so a few of the scrappers got together put some good metal together, weighed it and sent a very credible person to turn it in!! And they brought receipt back with the money, omg!!, it didn't equal out to anything near what they weighed at home and took in!!! Omg, I thought they were exaggerating when they said they weren't getting paid right on there previous visits!!,, Not good!!,, The guys doing the weigh ins obviously are weighing more in there pockets than in there customers!! read more

After getting a receipt from cal-bag with amount I was supposed to receive on a check, I was shorted $110.00 by cal-bag..These people are very dishonest, If I thought for a second they were going to steal from me, I would have never gone there.....From now on I will only do business with the trustworthy people at Metro Metals.... read more

Update in reply to "Response from the owner": I looked at my receipt and nowhere does it say "no coins with cash payment". If this information is posted near the cashier window it must be in small print because I did not see it. I felt I was intentionally left in the dark about Calbag's "no coins with cash payment" policy and that is the main reason for my negative review. read more

Our company works with Calbag occasionally, but that week when we were trying to accomplish a special project on a time crunch they were awesome! Called them on Thursday afternoon, they came out personally on Friday to look at our situation, and had a bin dropped off on Monday. Thanks to Shawn and Alex for your quick response! read more

This place has become a rip off they use totes and buckets for you to dump your scrap metals into if you're not using the big containers out where you can park your vertical to unload and then they go ahead and deduct seven or 10 pounds off of your weight not including the casing around copper wires. I also believe the have their scale set up to weigh less than what you actually gave i brought enough copper wire to fill a medium sized cooler that weighed 3lbs maybe and it showed it weighed 47lbs and i know it was heavier than that my son weighs that much and this shit was heavier than 47 fucking pounds. then they deducted 13 lbs from my weight what the fuck. Don't do business with these guys your not going to get anywhere close to even half the potential money you could elsewhere..fuck these guys read more
