Would have given them 1000 stars if I could. Called on a Thursday an Arborist came out Friday and we discussed the tree they did the work on Monday. They are not tree trimmers they are ARTIST'S. I will never call any other tree company again. The price quoted was very fair. They cleaned up everything I could not see a leaf they left behind. Amazing Company to deal with. read more

It was time for our annual tree trimming. I called Myra at Cal-Tree Service and we scheduled a time. It was a foggy morning, and the crew showed up on time at 7:30 a.m. Four men went right to work trimming two mulberries and an ash tree. Rueben asked if there were any special considerations. I showed them my concerns, and he assured me they'd be taken care of. Two hours later the job was done and the trucks are pulling away. We've been using Cal-Tree Services for over15 years. They have always dine an excellent job at a competitive price.

We just had Cal Tree Service come this morning 12/4/25 and work on our Camphor and Bottle Brush trees. They did a great job with the ornamental pruning. They went the extra extra mile. Clean up was superb as well. Well worth it & peace of mind that branches won't break on a windy day. Mayra & Linda are both arborists. They know what they're doing. I highly recommend. They also have us opinions on our other trees. read more

Professional, reliable, and excellent work every time! I have trusted this company with my backyard tree trimming and cleanup more than once. It is a BIG job and I couldn't be happier with the result. From the initial consultation/estimate to job completion, I experienced nothing but professionalism and high quality work. We requested a quote from Cal-Tree and it was significantly higher than they other services we checked out. We went with another, insured and licensed, tree service: Carlos' and his crew did an outstanding job, at a MUCH lower price. Perhaps you'll get a better bid from Cal-Tree than we did, but do consider Carlos' Tree Service, too. read more

We had such a great experience with them. They were very knowledgeable and gave us advice on how to care for the trees on our property. I had lots of work done in our yard extracting with stump removal, (eucalyptus tree over 30ft tall, 2 mature fruit trees) pruning plum tree, removing a dead hedge and our lattice with vines and roots plus too many to list. The initial phone call was to set up a date to for someone to come out and give us an estimate. Very professional right from the start. Linda one of the owners was the person who came out. She was on time and was very informative. Talked us through the whole process that would take place and gave us a few ideas. A few days after we decided to go with CTS we set a date and their crew of 10 or so arrived on time and took care of business. Everything took about 5 hours max. I had no issues with my neighbors and branches or leaves in their yard. They cleaned up perfectly. We were recommended Tim Nord for our landscaping needs and he's next on our list to work on our yard. These people are fair priced, informative, and professional. read more

I left an email after hours for a quote on trimming all of my trees, not expecting a response until the following day. To my surprise, Linda texted me. We conversed a little bit and I called the next morning to schedule an appointment for an estimate. She came the following afternoon and viewed and discussed the job. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in tree care and provided me with ideas and wrote an estimate. I was so impressed with her that I scheduled to have my 6 trees pruned the following morning. They came early in the morning, on time and ready to work. My trees look wonderful and I'm very pleased with the job. We did have a little hiccup where some debris did fall into my pool. I mentioned this to Linda and she and her crew were out here again bright and early in the morning. They cleaned out all of the debris and left my pool sparkling clean. I'm very happy with their service and plan to do more trimming of additional trees later in the year. Thanks again Linda and Crew! A job well done. I'm a happy customer read more

This is my second time working with CTS, and just as before, I am so impressed by this company. I hired Linda and her team for a major cleanup of my yard. After becoming overrun by weeds and leaves, I needed a professional to help me get things back in order. I also wanted to move some plants around and prep my yard for grass, sod in some areas and seed in others. There were also some major roots that needed to be taken out before they started damaging my home. Linda went above and beyond to make sure my yard was pristine by the time they left. They are the best! Very easy to work with, knowledgeable, and so professional! read more

I've been calling on Cal-Tree for many years to handle my tall Queen Palms. Linda always gives me great advice on what the trees need to stay healthy. I did not know, at the time, how much Cal-Tree had saved my tokus! The City of Bakersfield chose to install new sidewalk and collided with one of my trees during the process. The tenants called me to tell me how the tree was falling over. I immediately began my search for a tree service, because if the tree fell over in the wrong direction, I would be responsible for the damage to all the cars. The first call was to the City of Bakersfield, but of course, they said that their workman "found the tree that way" when they arrived -- strange coincidence that it should fall on the same day that their workman install a sidewalk, but whatever! My second call was to "one of the other tree services"... I honestly don't remember which one. They were closed at 3pm on a Friday, so they were not the company for me. My third call was to Cal-Tree. Within 15 minutes of talking to their receptionist, the owner, Linda, called me from another job site. I was impressed with the speedy response. I explained the situation and my urgency, and Linda promised that she would check out the job site and remove just enough to make the tree stable until they could find time to come back and finish the job. They came back a few days later and removed the tree to the stump. Finally, I could breath safely! I explained before the work started that I did not have the money for the full job, and Linda said that we could work on a payment plan if I provided a billing method that they could charge monthly. We broke the payment down into manageable chunks and I just made the last payment today! So... Remember how I said I did not realize how much I would be thankful at the time the work was done.... No more than 3 days after the tree was removed, a big windstorm came through Bakersfield. On my drive to work, I passed tree after tree that had been blown over by the wind storm, which was probably somehow connected to Hurricane Irma or some other weird weather thing. I could not believe how many sturdy, strong trees were uprooted by this storm! I then thought to myself... If I had waited, if Linda had not agreed to make a deal with me, if I had said, we can do it some other time... If any of these things had happened, that tree that was already falling over would for certain be on one of my tenants cars! Thank you, Linda and Cal-Tree for being present and doing great work! read more

Linda (the owner) knows trees. We had a very large pine that needed significant pruning but we didn't want to hack to death. The CTS crew was timely, very professional, and extremely attentive. We couldn't be happier with the end result or the price (very reasonable)! See you guys in 2 years for another service! read more

So I decided to give this company another chance, and obviously they wanted to make me happy due to what happened last time. Called, scheduled an appointment, and they came out and performed a great service. For a great price, they did a great job trimming my tree. I'll gladly hire them again to do work at home. A star still got knocked off since scheduling isn't accurate, but it was still good. While I know I didn't have to be home for the service, I like to be there to ensure the work is done properly, no damage is done to my property, etc. read more

Linda came out for the quote when she said she would, and she was able to get started on the removal of our landscape and several trees the very next day! Her team was friendly and professional throughout the entire process. You definitely get what you pay for, and with all the unprofessional businesses I've come across lately, I'd gladly pay a little more for her help in future! Thanks a bunch, Cal-Tree :) read more

I always use Cal Tree. Fast and fair quote. They always clean up well and the owner is always friendly and communicative..

Linda,Manuel and Sandra at Cal Tree services were awesome, work they performed for us outstanding(removed two trees including the stump, trimmed trees, treated for fire blight, trenched around the tree trees and removed tree roots in the yard). The work crew also did a great job, they did a great job cleaning up, even what fell into the neighbors yard. I would highly recommend them for any tree services needed. read more

Can't recommend highly enough. These folks show up when they say they will for estimates and for the actual work. They get in, get the job done, clean up, and get out. As a contractor, I can tell you, stuff happens on jobsites. It just does. No matter how careful you are, no matter how well you plan a job, things happen. While removing a giant stone pine from my back yard, one of the branches took out a small solar lamp on my patio. The crew informed me immediately, then asked me how I wanted them to make it right. I asked for a new lamp. I had a new lamp within a couple days, delivered to my doorstep. Great work, great prices, responsible employees. These are my tree people now, for as long as I live in Bakersfield. read more

So satisfied with this company. Far exceeded my expectations. After a few communication hiccups showed up as promised. Had a Japanese Maple that was under 3 Queen palms I wanted removed. I was concerned about that tree. Not one branch was broken, 5 palm trees removed clean up was great and I plan to use their landscaping service for my next project. This is a company that is ran by women and they are awesome. read more

CTS did an excellent job and really appreciated the service before and after. Quick response to get a quote and set up a great time this morning. The crew was quick, professional, and safe. Called on a Saturday, came Monday morning to give me a quote (also provided me with the basics for owning/caring for a citrus tree, which was much appreciated), scheduled service for Tuesday morning .
