The job he did was amazing and have been told by another machinists that his work is top notch. So when I finally received my engine and saw the pictures I was very pleased. Would I use Cody to build another engine I definitely would, but don't expect it to be done very fast. His price wasn't bad pretty much same at most rebuild places. Overall pretty happy. Thank you Cody and advanced engine.

My initial inquiry was regarding an air suspension system, but after further consultation with the knowledgeable technicians, I opted for a custom muffler, pipe, exhaust, and resonator delete. I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and expertise displayed by the technicians. Despite my limited knowledge of car culture and my numerous questions, they consistently provided insightful answers and examples. Their honesty, educational approach, and understanding of my requests were greatly appreciated. I was usually an extra 30-45min just to example to be the pro and con or just answering my questions. I am typically very selective about who I allow to work on my vehicle. However, from the moment I entered their establishment to inquire about a basic estimate for my initial plan of installing air suspension, I never felt as though they were solely interested in acquiring my money. Furthermore, I was under significant time constraints, with only two weeks to complete a substantial amount of work. They collaborated with me and even worked (almost 2 hours past closing) overtime to ensure that my vehicle was completed on schedule. Additionally, whenever the project exceeded their initial projections, they would promptly contact me, either by phone or text message, to provide updates and seek my approval. And even discount the cost when I didn't even ask which help me alot and even lyft ride to and back. I have a 1990 Toyota truck that I use every day for work. On this truck, the speedometer sends a signal to the computer, which tells the transmission when to shift. When the circuit in the speedometer failed, the transmission started shifting very erratically, and the truck became undriveable. I couldn't find anyone who was willing to work on a 35-year-old speedometer. Out of desperation, I gave the details to ChatGPT and asked for a recommendation. It pointed me to iKarz Speedometers & Automotive in Bakersfield, CA. I called and spoke with Chris, who told me they had all the necessary equipment to troubleshoot the unit down to the component level, repair it, and then test it to ensure everything met factory specifications. I also asked him about replacing the burned out Hi-Beam and Over-Drive and indicator lamps while they had it, and he suggested that he could replace all the original dash illumination lamps and indicator lamps with new, brighter, longer-lasting German-made bulbs. I overnighted the instrument cluster to him via UPS. He came in when they were closed on the Friday after Thanksgiving to receive it. They started work on it first thing Monday morning, and had it repaired, tested and shipped via UPS Next Day Air on Wednesday. My truck is all back together now and it is shifting flawlessly. It is such a pleasure to drive again! In an era where real customer service is hard to find, Chris and iKarz Speedometers & Automotive, delivered in every way. After they completed the initial repair, they told us the car was ready. However, during their own test drive, significant engine damage occurred, and the vehicle became completely inoperable. Instead of taking responsibility for what happened while the car was in their care, the shop downplayed their role and focused on how much time and money they claimed to have invested in the vehicle. We paid them $1,500 to begin service, but the result of their work left us without a working car and facing an even larger repair bill. At no point before the test drive did they warn us of the possibility of engine damage, and their diagnostics prior to beginning the repair failed to flag the very issues they later used to excuse themselves from any responsibility. I do not know if these people are cosplaying as mechanics or what, but their entire operation is a joke. A functioning car became inoperable in the hands of so-called professionals. The salvage car business might suit them better. At least there, destroying cars is part of the process. I strongly advised others to believe the one-star reviews before trusting this place with their car. What happened to us was not just careless, it was unacceptable. This shop has no business working on anyone's vehicle. German Dreams??? More like GERMAN NIGHTMARES!
