Excellent local market. There is a deli inside where you can get sandwiches and salads. Also a full selection of grocery items and organic produce. Right in the main stretch of downtown Calistoga.

One of the best mom and pop grocery stores ive ever seen. The butcher shop area looked absolutely amazing high quality meats. Had an amazing fresh made sandwich all the fixings from the sandwich station/deli. Aisles all clean organized and even the Customer bathroom in the back was clean. Great spot to stop in Calistoga, CA. Highly recommend. Friendly staff as well

    Awesome butcher shop!

You're website is useless and there is no menu for the deli to order from. You just lost a huge customer.

Signs lead us through the pastures to the working farm, where the milk cows casually glance at us as we pass. We were greeted by the most gracious staff and were seated on the lovely patio. A platter of soft cheeses is served, where we sampled Brie, truffle Brie, a third creamy delicious cheese and cheese spreads created and blended by the on site chef. Then we learned that was the "appetizer"! A lovely platter arrived with 10-12 cheeses. And they are all fabulous. I'd like to name a favorite, but the blues, the Tomas, the Goudas and all the accompaniments were simply amazing. Strawberries grown on the farm and picked that morning, figs, fresh flowers, crackers -- all combine to make this an incredible experience. We learn about the process of dairy farming and making the cheeses. The cheese maker has won numerous awards for his cheeses, and after this experience, it is easy to taste why. Delightful! Scenery, staff and, above all, the cheese, were top notch!

We would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves cheese or wants to enjoy a scenic drive and explore the farm.

This is an old fashion deli gussied up for Sonoma. It gets busy but everyone working here is attentive and even nice. There's a ton of interesting cheeses (duh) and pasties (yum) but I come here for the coffee and Butcherman sandwiches. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches which are large enough to split if you aren't a big eater. Cubano: not traditional but delicious. Ham AND pork sausage. Jack cheese and avocado. Mortadella: with pesto and burrata. Another delicious break with tradition. Even the Arnold palmer (ice tea and lemonade) is good. There are seats in the back and a few outside but I like the counter in the front window. Enjoy your food and watch the world walk by.

Couldn't find it anymore...seems like there's been a lot of business turnover in that area - I'm sure at least in part due to high rent...but happened to see "Sandwiches" on the awning in front of Sonoma Cheese Factory. Didn't look it up, took a chance and went for it. From the moment you enter, such friendly folks greet you and point you to the menu and where to go when you're ready to order. So much to choose from, but I went the easy route and ordered the "Smoked Turkey". Expected a basic turkey sandwich with the usual trimmings, and wow did it ever exceed those expectations. The sliced turkey was melt-in-your mouth moist, tender, and delicious. The tomatoes, the greens, the mild spread added at just the right amount to make the flavors pop. Then with the bread - the way it was lightly grilled to make the cheese melt perfectly...made it warm with a slight crunch on the outside, through the melty cheese to the cooler turkey, tomatoes and other trimmings on the inside. Honestly, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It filled me up perfectly but I didn't want it to be done. Sat there thinking of my favorite uncle growing up in Texas, who, when he ate something really good, would say "well my belly's full but my taster is still hungry". :) It was that good. And again, the sandwich, accompanied by the awesome/friendly service, made the whole experience so good. Will make it a regular stop in my future trips to Sonoma. I'm a sucker for good BBQ and according to a neighboring business owner, you can't go wrong with the brisket sandwich. Yum.

It led us down a dirt path wide enough for only one car to pass and we came to a very old barn at the end with a super tiny building where the cheese was stored and a small counter where the goods were sold! A lady who speaks Spanish and only enough English to sell a chunk of cheese arrived on the scene to give us samples of 3, 9 and 14 month aged cheese. Each cheese was progressively more firm the longer it was aged. Wowww! I didn't even know what I had been missing out on until now. All these years, I have missed out on fresh cheese made straight from a milked cow on a farm! Who knew there was such a difference?? Our very favorite was the 3 month old cheese. So creamy, fresh, soft and perfect in every way. Best cheese I've ever had, even better cheese than we we've had in Wisconsin. I don't know if I can ever appreciate supermarket cheese again. Cheese was $10/lb. We initially bought half a pound, then we brought it to the museum and nearly finished the whole chunk before we were craving for more and decided to go back for another pound! It was that good! The detour added another 45 mins of traffic to our journey but we felt it was worth it. If you're ever in the area, stop by to grab a pound or more of cheese! The only problem we had was that we didn't know how to store it. We refrigerated it and I'm not sure if we were supposed to do that bc the cheese ended up getting pretty hard :(. But we couldn't ask how to store it properly and for how long because the lady didn't speak enough English.

It turns out certain breads are an upcharge, but that wasn't communicated--I only realized after I had already paid. I also asked for pepperoncini and was charged $3, even though it's supposed to be $1.75. On top of that, it looks like I was charged for cucumbers, even though they're listed as part of the vegetarian sandwich, which feels a bit misleading. I've never had this issue before, so next time I'll definitely double-check pricing or order online since that's always been accurate for me. I still enjoy the food, just wish pricing and add-ons were more clearly communicated.

While they sell discounted tickets for kids 5-12 and kids under 5 are free, we and all the other families there found the tour to be a real struggle for our little ones. We all felt a little misled about the experience based on the online description. It's a lot of standing very still (in rooms with equipment that shouldn't be contaminated by guests, or next to equipment that has cow poop on it), listening to the owner talk for long stretches. We expected more movement around the farm and time outdoors, instead of something closer to a lecture with a large group in tight spaces. It also ran over time (to 2 hours!) ending with a nice close up visit with the cows and some small cheese samples. We did really enjoy meeting the cows and learning the details of how cheese making works. It is a real labor of love. I think there's a lot of potential here; the Achadinha tour has all the ingredients for an awesome visit but could use some editing. This tour could easily be 30 minutes, an hour tops. We would've liked to stay and buy some cheese but by 1pm we were all starving and fled to find lunch elsewhere. Other parents shared they would've had a great time there on a date, but definitely wouldn't go with small kids again. I'll also flag that they require you to step through a decontamination footbath to go inside the facilities. There were a lot of miserable people in sandals who had to get their feet wet in the chemicals. Closed toed shoes that can get wet recommended for this tour.
