He was very supportive and flexible during multiple COVID-19 postponing and flexible with our micro wedding. During the day, Ben was patient and fun! Our guests couldn't believe how many moments and details he managed to stealthily capture-it seemed like he was in multiple places at once! Most importantly, our pictures were absolutely beautiful. Although our portraits were lovely, Ben really excels at candid photos that capture the joy of the wedding. One thing that really struct me about our wedding photos is how many real smiles Ben captured out of all of us. I can't believe both how many silly and sentimental moments he managed to catch and his style is so cool. I would strongly recommend.

In our search, we came across a number of wedding photographs that were banal, sometimes bordering on cheesy, and we knew we didn't want that. Ben Schaefer's artistic sensibility struck us from the beginning. He describes himself as a photo journalist, and we think that's spot-on. Rather than projecting his personality into poses and ideas, Ben thought carefully about how we'd planned our day and which aspects were most important. And from the early photos we've seen so far, we are pleased with his careful eye and aesthetic sensibility. And to top it off, Ben is a joy to work with. You spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than perhaps any other person (aside from your new spouse), so it's important that you get along. Ben is fun, sensitive, and funny. We could not be happier with our experience and highly recommend Ben for your wedding or any occasion.

I cannot lie and say that I have not at one point in my life suffered with low self-esteem and the desire to lose just five more pounds, but when I signed up for the workshop that was definitely no longer the case. Yet, as Sharona and I chatted about different things, and she eventually took my picture I was immediately at ease with her. She brought out things in myself I didn't realize I needed to feel, and when I viewed the finished work the following day I was amazed that she had helped turn myself into true art. It was not an ego boost, but a self-realization that I went through, and one I didn't even think I needed to go through. After my experience with Sharona, I am a firm believer in Phototherapy. And considering she is a kind, caring, and creative person, any clients who choose to work with her in this way will benefit greatly.

I go back to her pictures time and time again, and each time am transported to that happy place. The best part of Sharona's photographs is that she has truly captured the essence of that happy time in our lives. When my husband and I look at those photographs, we see ourselves exactly where we were at that point in time. The photos do not have that "posed" look that is in so many wedding photographs. At our brunch, Sharona also captured so many moments with our friends that we didn't even see at the time! Her photographs of the children present were particularly charming. She truly captured the joy of our special day. Sharona is friendly and personable, truly intuiting what we wanted from the photographs and delivering a perfect product. We are so grateful for her photographs, as they'll always bring us back to that day.

Mel is so warm and instantly makes you feel like you've been friends forever. I've never done a photo-shoot so I had no idea what to do, but she walks you through everything and tells you what poses to do to make you look amazing. Boudoir isn't all about looking as sexy as possible (that's a nice benefit tho!), it's a celebration of you and how beautiful you are...Mel captures that in her incredible images. I'm obsessed with the photos and am so happy I decided to do this. The hardest part was whittling down the photos for my album b/c they were all sooooo good! She was such a pleasure to work with, and so easily fit into our eclectic family that we felt that we had a friend along to capture the moments rather than a hired talent...which I think makes it all the more amazing. Regarding her work - both the candids and the stills that she captured were fantastic...and what is especially worth calling out is that 2 out of 4 people in my family (and that includes) are what you'd call...step-away-from-front-of-the-camera type non-photogenic people. With those odds, Nitya couldn't have stood much of a chance...but she still managed to make us all look like we were graced equally!! And thanks to you, I don't need to buy my brother another gift for sometime to come (let's see how long that lasts). Looking forward to working with you in the future.
