The easiest way to find it is to look for the Walgreens sign directly across from the bakery. The entrance to the paved lot is a little steep and the lot a bit cramped. Parking spaces are marked, with one row parallel to the road and another row behind that in the rear of the lot. There are plenty of spaces although I did not specifically notice any marked for handicapped. Walking in, the display counter is straight ahead. We were greeted as we entered. There is a small seating area on the right facing the road but the building is far enough back there is little road noise. We were able to decide on our selections as the customer in front was finishing her order. The person working the counter was very pleasant and helpful, able to provide additional descriptions of all the different options available. We decided on a couple croissants and the savory Danish. The croissants feature many layers of dough, making them all light and flakey. The crisp crunch gives way to a satisfying texture as the croissant almost melts in your mouth. The savory Danish had cream cheese and scallions. This also was outstanding. The pastry was baked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. This is a definite "must stop".

It's everything people say it is. The biscuits are fresh, buttery, and absolutely delicious, but the real surprise was the homemade jam. Oh. My. Goodness. The jam deserves its own standing ovation. We even saved what we had left and used it later on a campfire breakfast during our road trip. The biscuit we made at camp wasn't quite the same, but that jam still stole the show. Their homemade butter was another standout, and the coffee menu had plenty of great options. Everything we tried was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely worth it. The café itself is adorable, and the whole experience made us wish we had found it sooner. If they don't already sell that jam by the jar, they absolutely should. I'd buy it without hesitation. If you're in Asheville, do yourself a favor and stop by ButterPunk. Get the biscuit. Get the butter. And whatever you do... don't leave without trying the jam. Highly, highly recommend!

The line moved pretty quickly and was wrapped out the door, I'd say we only waited for about 15 minutes before ordering and then another 15 after that for the food and two coffees. Service was bubbly and friendly, and the atmosphere is so cool. The food was okay, but less than what I'd consider "good" and on the more expensive side. Our coffee was quite bitter. I did appreciate the thick cut bacon!

There is street parking nearby, and this place is always hopping. This place makes me think of a southerner's take on a French bakery. Absolutely gorgeous on the inside with decadent sweets to choose from, while also featuring classics like a Swiss roll or a cream puff. They also offer breakfast/brunch/lunch, as well as made to order cakes. (Their coconut cake is award-winning). We came in recently and got a BLT, chicken salad on croissant (with watermelon salad), quiche, cream puff, lemon Swiss roll, and lattes. The sandwiches were all delicious and this was my first time trying watermelon salad - fresh and perfect to accompany the sandwiches. Their quiches are large and filling - perfect on their own for breakfast. For lattes, we got a vanilla latte, and then their July 4th special, which had strawberry and white chocolate in it - the July 4th specialty latte was decadent - if you like sweet, you should give it a try. All in all, I think we paid $50ish for our meal. This spot is a must if you're in the area!

I noticed he was wearing an N-95 mask which seemed a bit odd, but whatever. All of a sudden I heard the nastiest, wettest cough. He did not cover his mouth. He immediately lifted up the plate of food he had been leaning over when he coughed, and placed it in the window. The barista (tall, brown hair, femme, cool glasses) picked it up and carried it over to me. I said "hey I'm not trying to be rude, but I heard the cook cough when he was plating my food and he sounds pretty sick. Could you ask him if he is sick?" They looked pretty annoyed with me and returned a moment later saying the cook would not answer the question. I asked for a refund bc I didn't feel comfortable eating the food. They should have apologized, but instead they treated me like I was an annoyance. What a silly way to lose a customer--I am a local and would have been back had they not treated me that way.

Despite the wait, we decided to indulge in breakfast, and the experience was well worth it. My wife opted for two eggs and sides, while i chose two eggs with fried bologna and pulled pork, both of which met expectations admirably. The standout feature was their in-house jam and spreads: a distinctly sour cherry and a perfectly balanced strawberry variety, neither overly sweet but perfectly suited to complement the biscuits. For anyone in the Asheville, Carolina vicinity, Biscuit Head is an essential stop. With four locations in this area and potentially extending to Greenville, it's a must-visit for those seeking exceptional breakfast fare.
