Not only are they the most amazingly tasty treats you will ever set your taste buds on but the way they display them enhances the feel of the flavors! Always creative, from the uniquie "Cake Pops" to the incredible details of each themed cake, cupcakes, cookies you name it they createit!! Honestly, I HIGHLY reccommend using them for ANY need for desserts or treats for any event or stop by on the way home from work for a self treat. I brought some home for my wife one night after a gig (a self proclaimed cake-a-holic) and she could not believe the flavor of the red velvet, one of her favorites! Don't waste your time you will be very disappointed. I was super bummed and disappointed with cake goodness especially since they were referred to me. First of all I left a message on there machine and it took a week to get back to me. Then they wanted to discuss everything per e-mail would not even give me the time and day to talk about the order I wanted to place. Secondly, they are insanely priced high!! They quoted me 1500-2000 minimum for a desert bar and wouldn't even try and work with my budget of $1000 and that's without a cake!!! Lastly, I went into the store and as a business owner myself I would be embarrassed of how it was ran. I came into the store and a bunch of teenagers were sitting on the couch who were supposedly customer service that day and seemed bothered I asked for help. I stopped in here Thursday by accident. I'd just taken part in a live story telling event at The Main down the street on, well, Main. I was walking back to my car when I noticed this cute little shop. The door was open. I was surprised to see that since it was almost 9pm but the owner, Melinda, was lovely. She pointed out her cup cakes and I ended up picking picking out six cup cakes to take to an elderly friend for our afternoon tea yesterday. Even though they'd been refrigerated, these cakes were unbelievably fresh, delicious, and moist. The icing on these cakes is the best I've tried in a long time and the cup cakes super tasty. Nothing was overly sweet in spite of the richness of them. We loved them all. We had two of the cinnamon spice, the party time cake (I think it was called that) and lemon berry. Just lovely. Love this place and Melinda is amazing. I don't make it to Old Town Newhall much Main Street is wonderful...and I think I'm going to be spending a lot more time here in the future! read more

Cakegoodness has very delicious cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and desserts. Their cake designs and adornments are elegant, beautiful, contemporary, and/or edgy if desired. I ordered a three-tiered wedding cake with three different flavored cakes and vanilla buttercream frosting for my wedding which was on June 17, 2016, and it turned out great! Melinda, the owner, was a little hard to get a hold of when I wanted to meet with her about my cake design or when I wanted to ask her a question about the cake over the phone, though. Once I finally did get a hold of her, the time spent with her in person was pleasant and productive. I contacted CakeGoodness for a dessert table for an event I was having in my home. The dessert table design was incredible - I was impressed how they were able to match up the colors/design of my invite exactly to all the signage they created down to the font on the mini cake they made. All the desserts tasted great as well - my guests were definitely impressed. I would have given 5 stars, but it was the communication that was an issue for me. They would be slow to respond, where I'd have to follow up a week after not hearing from them. As specific as I was and provided much information within each email, when I'd get the final invoice, cake flavors and pricing would be incorrect. It was confusing corresponding b/t her coordinator and Melinda, so probably there was why the breakdown in communication on their end and overlooked information. In any case, I would still hire again, just know you need to stay on top of them to ensure no detail is overlooked. The dessert table was still definitely a highlight of my event! read more

Went in for Valentine's Day to get my boyfriend a cookie. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners in Ojai, and since I was going to driving on the I-5 the next day, I decided to stop in. Very glad I did. Both owners were on deliveries, the person who helped me was very gracious and efficient. I chose the cinnamon and the chocolate cupcakes....two each. Came in today because my girlfriend said they make awesome cupcakes. Saw the display case and started to pick out my cupcakes. I looked closely and saw ants all over the inside of the display. I was worried she was going to grab from there but she had a cupcakes in a refrigerator behind her. I was like phew! Went to the counter and again ants were crawling all over the counter.... cupcake was tasty but if I get sick I'll make sure to change my review and give 1 star. I would say I saw easily 40 ants. Hispanic lady behind the counter did not even seemed concerned. Her customer service skills are terrible and said nothing when we walked in. Initially Cake Goodness was supposed to have a reopening in October according to a flyer I picked up. It didn't happen. I stopped by and it wasn't open. So I called and talked to someone who said it would open Nov 1. When I came by Nov 2 it was locked and not open! I've given up. I ordered 20 packs of maccadamian cookies for a baptism (3 days earlier) and went by to pick them up and they had made chocolate chip cookies.. I told them it was ok.. (Anyone can make a mistake, we are only human!) I could just come by and pick the maccadamian cookies up the next day (Sunday at Noon) well.. They never picked up the phone and I went to pick them up and it was closed!!!!! And they charged me for the cookies on my card anyways!!! This was just ridiculous... The person at the counter treated my wife so poorly, insulting her when she visited the week of July 8th. My wife was told, "Do you know our cakes cost over $100?" The purpose of the comment was to check on my wife's ability to purchase or to insult her. In either case it worked. They lost our business FOREVER. Neither one of us will come back. Hands Down the best cupcake shop in SCV! Since I love to bake I'm pretty critical of other baked goods and my hubby too spoiled by my baking. Yet both of us loved the cupcakes! I came in about a week ago with a friend we were looking to possible do cake pops for her husband's birthday party . No one greeted us when we came in the staff was not friendly at all then when we asked about the different cake pop flavors she said I guess you just have to try them . Last year, we ordered a cake for my little girls bday in Palmdale, at an un-named location that claims they won on Cupcake Wars (not that I watch those shows, but whatever). Anyhow, we were HUGELY disappointed with the terrible cake (even after sampling their cakes and they were fine then) and service we got for something that cost well over $300. So this time around, we went to Cake Goodness. Mind you, we come in once every couple of months to get a few cupcakes for the kids and one for mom and dad of course. One day while getting some cupcakes we inquired about the cakes and was given the info on when to order and how they can create whatever we like. So the time came and I called to ask if I still had time as the party was 2 weeks away and they said sure. So I came in, with 2 photos I found online for Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed cake for my little girl. I told her how I wanted to combine the 2 ideas but told her I trusted her on the overall design. A 3 tiered cake for 30 people was $270, less than I paid for the other horrible cake to feed the same amount of people. I paid in full and time passed on. Day of the party my husband went to pick up the cake with a few cake toppers for them to place on the cake. He brings it home, I take a quick look and oh my gosh, it was absolutely gorgeous! I was floored. She took the two ideas and put them together and it came out better than I expected. Come time to serve the cake (we got vanilla bottom, marble middle and chocolate top) and it was perfect! It tasted so good and everyone was raving and asking where we got the cake. I am so happy I will be coming back for my other daughters bday in April. Thank you! My advice would be, walk in, don't call or email if you want something. You need to walk in, take some pics with you of what you want. Don't expect to just order a custom cake over the phone or through email. And the pricing, it is what it is, not expensive but not cheap. We feel like we got more than what we paid for to be honest. If I can figure out how to add a photo of the cake, I will. read more

I called multiple cupcake shops in Valencia looking for funfetti cupcakes (yes there are adults who want funfetti cupcakes). Every shop told me that they only had them available on certain days or I had to place a large order, I only needed a few, great. I then called Cakegoodness and asked if they had funfetti cupcakes on Friday. Melinda said, "No, but I can make some!" Perfect! I ended up with two funfetti cupcakes and a few other flavors. All of the cupcakes were delightful especially the carrot! Went into this quaint establishment after noticing it next to one of our favorite Thai restaurants, Manee House. Melinda, the owner, has been making custom cakes for a while now but decided to try her hand a retail operation. They've been open for 3 days now and they are batting a thousand as far as I'm concerned. They have an array of freshly-made cupcakes, the flavors will vary from week to week. The flavors that she chooses are unique, and they're very willing to offer samples. Their red velvet is exquisite,but my personal favorite is the coconut lime, delicious! Aside from cupcakes they also have cake lollipops and mini chocolate chip and sugar cookies. I had a triple chocolate cake lollipop and a sample of the choc chip cookies, both were expertly made with quality ingredients. Understand that cupcakes of this caliber aren't going to be as cheap as what you'd find at your neighborhood supermarket, but these cupcakes are so far out of that league that you get what you pay for. AMAZING! I love sweets, including cupcakes, though cake in general is not my fave. THIS PLACE, however has changed my mind! Their Cookies and Cream Cake Pops are life-altering and are now my favorite dessert. I have also tried their Brownie Cake Pops, Raspberry Whirl Cupcake and Triple Diple Chocolate (cupcakes and cake pops) and everything was moist, flavorful--absolute heaven. I wasn't even remotely expecting to love this place as much as I do, having tried another cupcake place that opened earlier this year and being monumentally disappointed. I was left wondering what all the hype was about with gourmet cupcake shops, but now I get it. I hate to trash another cupcake shop while praising this one, but I actually work across from Bake You Happy and I drive across town on my lunch breaks when I'm craving something sweet to Cake Goodness because they are THAT incredible.
