I picked the cake up and we tried it the same day, so freshness was never an issue on my end, and it was still dry, hard and stale, like it had been sitting in a fridge for days. When I went to pick up, I realized the cake comes out of a location shared by multiple food businesses - not an actual bakery or storefront. That explained a lot. There's NO real accountability, no quality control you can see, just cakes handed off from a shared kitchen. On top of that, it was overwhelmingly sweet. Not sweet in a good way, but so much sugar that my stomach started hurting and I got a migraine shortly after. My partner took one bite and literally had to spit it out because he couldn't eat it. For the price I paid, I expected a fresh, moist, beautifully made cake and what I got was neither fresh nor edible. Between the glowing ratings, the price and the actual product, I feel scammed.
