I bought my birthday cake from here. I was hosting a party and wanted a cake that everyone would like. I knew about these cakes and purchased one. And it was cake-a-lishious. There were no complaining about being too sweet or having whole hazelnuts inside. The staff did amazing job. They advised and helped me to choose my cake and than did it even better than my expectation. Great work! read more

A huge thank you for our order. We were over the moon when the cake arrived, the detail of the design was incredible - Cake A Lishious is clearly very talented! Every step along the way of ordering with Cake A Lishious was amazing, no problems, hiccups, there was always a super quick reply. The man working was rude and dismissive (for example, I said that I'd never had an ice cream doughnut before, and the man scoffed, half-rolled his eyes, and said "It's just ice cream in a doughnut".) So despite the bad start, I was still pretty jazzed for my treat. But, meh, not really great. The soft serve was nice but didn't taste of much, and the doughnut shell didn't really add anything except a mess of sugar. So next time, I'll get a regular vanilla custard doughnut, and hope it's as good as usual and hopefully give Bread Ahead a couple more stars. Today though, service was a 1.5, and the doughnut only a 2.5.

Generously filled, and in a selection of flavours including caramel, honeycomb and fruit jams, they look pretty tempting. And they taste great too - the fillings (which clearly are the star of the show) satisfy a sweet tooth without being too sweet. My favourite is the blackberry jam, with its chunks of fruit. They aren't too doughy and are in fact quite light, and they aren't oversugared. I can't wait for the weather to heat up so I can try the ice cream filled version. They also do a huge selection of bread and other bakery products, which I haven't tried but look delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the outlet is well presented and easy to look around. Everything is clearly priced which is unusual in bakeries a lot of the time. They only lost a star because £2.50 is a little steep for a doughnut in my opinion.

For 6£, it's not bad. It's pretty sizable and a good shareable snack! It's a good crusty bread and had a subtle garlic flavor with a blend of stringy cheese. If you like cheesy garlic bread, this is for you! Out of all the snacks you could get in the borough market, this is a solid option! But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

I could not have been happier with my Bespoke Baby Boy Shower Cupcakes from Cake-A-Lishious! This was my second order from Nikki (I have previously ordered a bespoke birthday cake) and on both occasions Nikki was simply amazing, and went above and beyond my expectations. Her creations are not just cakes or cupcakes these are unique pieces of art! I only wish I could attach a picture here I must have taken tons of photos, and was almost sorry to eat the cupcakes, as they were too beatufiul to be food! They were the center of everyone's attention throughout the entire event! What's also worth stressing, Nikki's customer service is as amazing as her creations. She is extremely responsive, always in touch with the client, so you know exactly what is going on with your order, when it's going to be delivered, etc. And you always get the personal touch, as if you were her most important customer. Just to give you an example, for the baby shower, I ordered 21 cupcakes and received 3 extra, on the house :) Also, even though Nikki typically makes 2 flavors per batch of 24, she surprised me with 3 flavors when she saw that it was hard for me to select just 2 from her menu of tempting flavors :) They were probably the best cupcakes we've ever had simply heaven in your mouth (especially the Chocolate Sponge Cupcakes with Real Chocolate Ganache we just to die for!) The cupcakes also included an extra surpirse one of them had a QR code, so when we scanned it with our phones, we got a beautifully prepared and touching baby shower presentation designed and tailored specifically to our family! Nikki delivered her cupcakes to our home personally, and for free, on the day of the event. I will definitely be ordering from Cake-A-Lishious again for an upcoming birthday of a family member, and would definitely recommend Nikki to anyone looking to make their special occasion even more special! Amazing service from start to finish. I contacted over 20 cake makers in London explaining what I wanted but most said it was to complicated and no way they could do it, about 3 of them wanted nearly £300 and I was beginning to lose hope but Nikki was very positive from the first email and gained my trust and my sale. I started correspondence with Nikki over 2 months before I wanted the cake. She is very professional, open and honest. I gave her my original idea and she came back with prises straight away. I paid in full about 6 weeks or so before i needed the cake but Nikki stayed in contact through out the whole time. I had arranged for the cake to be delivered to a stage door in the west end. The cake was delayed but this was totally NO ONES FAULT A lot of the roads were closed due to trooping the colour. Nikki emailed straight away and explained so there was no problem. The cake was a great hit with the cast from the show, the guy who the cake was made for was over the moon. The cast of the show had a leaving party and I was told that my cake was going as the centre piece.. So so happy with Nikki and her service and I 1000000000000% recommend her xox read more

Absolutely delighted with the service from Cake-A-Lishious Cake Makers in Bromely, London. I placed an order just a few days ago for an Edible Print Birthday Celebration Cake for my wife to be delivered at 5pm on 12th Feb. Nikki personally delivered the cake to my door. She was punctual and professional yet very personable, warm and friendly. When my wife saw the cake with her own photograph on it, she was totally blown away to the point where she loved the way it looked so much that she didn't even want to cut it. I took photographsjust wish this review allowed me to upload pictures of it. I literally had to beg and plead with my wife to slice the cake. Eventually, she did and I've got to say, this particular brandy-based minced fruit cake that I ordered was lip-smacking delicious! Loved it and my wife loved it! I'll be using Nikki's Cake-a-Lishious cake maker / cake decorator service again in fact, I've already placed an order for a Valentine's cake for tomorrow. Last year I was presented with a life size replica of a Wray & Nephew Novelty Rum Bottle Cake, so for my birthday this year I expected to get some Cupcakes from CAKE-A-LISHIOUS, which I did but was surprised to receive a Bespoke Magazine Cover Cake too. CAKE-A-LISHIOUS asked me questions about things I liked and favourite colours etc prior, and I never got round to answering, (my bad) but too my surprise CAKE-A-LISHIOUS turned up with a beautiful magazine cover cake for me with a PIC of me looking all glamorous like a model, (as I am..lol). CAKE-A-LISHIOUS met more of my expectations and is very talented and Artistic with the cakes that she presents. It was so good that I did not want to cut it, but when I did I was very surprised to see half sponge and half Rum/Black cake. I have never actually seen a cake done like that and it all taste wicked, my friends (when I managed to give them some) loved it. Where are the remaining Five Star's?May I add that my Cake made by Nikki @ Cake-A-Lishious was Fantastic!!!. Therefore, Rating=10/10 stars!. Nikki definately exceeded expectations in every aspect- from the decorative masterpiece to the actual taste of it!. I had a surprise magazine Cake made for me (picture of myself) which was outstanding!. I literally thought I was famous as the Magazine Cake looked sooo genuinely real- it even had a barcode on it too. The Cake was presented fabulously with all the trimmings to go with it. It was plain to see that this cake-maker had natural talent as well as passion for what she does. This cake was a fruit cake which was infused with Rum without any taste overpowering the other- hence, an excellent blend of full flavours which was moist and scrumptious!..need I say no more except that this cake was to die for!!. My friends ordered me a mini combo birthday cake from Cake-A-Lishious for the 13th April '13 that included an edible print.It was a lovely surprise and the picture chosen made everyone giggle.The presentation was perfect as it included a mix of cupcakes and a cake all of which looked lovely. Nikki paid attention to every detail which meant a lot to me including the inclusion of a birthday candle which was a lovely touch. She thought of everything !!! The cakes were superb and not only did it look amazing but tasted just as good as the sponge was soft, light and moist.Everyone commented on the cake and it went down a storm and my best friend and I have been talking about it ever since !! Excellent service. The cake was GREAT and met my specifications. The cake was ordered for my manager who was promoted and leaving our current office. The Cake-A-Lishious cake was very tasty and also beautiful! When I met with Nikki, she was very empathetic and helpful in guiding me to the design I truly wanted we decided to have a nice picture of my manager on the cake and a message congratulating her on her promotion my manager and the rest of the team really enjoyed the cake and also wanted to know where i ordered it from as it was so good. My initial enquiry was responded to immediately. I sent Nikki some ideas I had found on google and my budget and she explained what she had in mind and how much. My order was a bespoke 2 tier classic sponge and divine chocolate Las Vegas themed cake with edible playing cards, Poker Chips and Banner. Free customised cupcakes x6 Free Sparkling rocket candle and Delivery. To be honest no one wanted to eat the cake because it looked sooo good and the detail on the playing cards and the poker chipsVery Impressive! Nikki delivered it herself which I personally think was a nice touch. It also tasted lovely especially the chocolate bit and the cupcakes. I will definitely be ordering again. I ordered a 30th birthday cake for my wife, red velvet with photos of her at various stages of her life. The finished product was so much better than I had imagined. The cake was an absolute success and was loved by all who tried it. The price was great (truth be told for the product that was received, I would gladly have paid more, but don't tell them that!) It was delivered on time, and I was kept up to date on the progress of my order. Several of my friends have taken the contact details, as they have said that if they need cakes, then Cake-A-Lishious will be the first people they contact. I will be using Cake-A-Lishious again! I was looking for a special cake for my partner and was doing so for quite a while with no success when I stumbled across the cake-A-lishious website, which easy to navigate and well presented. I sent an email to find out if my cake idea was feasible, this was replied to within minutes even though it was quite late at night. The price was agreed, the delivery address, date and time confirmed. The service was prompt and professional. And the cake was extremely impressive, to the point that it had my partner in tears. Nikki even threw in some magnificent cupcakes. I ordered a birthday cake for my son's 5th birthday. He's everything Transformers and wanted an Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee cake, so called Nikki with my ideas. Nikki speedily got back to me with some fantastic designs and I loved it straight away. My cake was delivered promptly with immaculate presentation and most of all excellent customer service. Plus four free cupcakes which was also customised with Transformers logo Plus the promotional delivery! ++ My son LOVED his cake and loves Miss Nikki, he said Mum serious a Transformers cake! My friend loved it despite understandable reluctance to plunge the knife into his beloved dog! The cake itself was delicious and the candle was a crowd pleaser too. I placed my order at the beginning of February 2014. I received a quick and pleasant response. I was asked a number of questions relating to the order. Once answered,anyone sent a confirmation of my order. I was given a date and time of when my order would be delivered. On the 14/02/14 my order was delivered at 7.30 As a cutomer I was very happy with the service and the product that was supplied. The cake was for my parents anniversary. It was on very short notice. The cake was made right on time. Everyone at the anniversary loved the cake. The design and the taste of the cake was something else. The colours was just right and the cake was not too sweet. At the anniversary someone said that this cake is too good to eat. I LOVE CAKE-A-LISHIOUS! Nikki never fails to impress. I ordered an Edible Print Divine Chocolate Sponge Cake with Real Chocolate Ganache, + Free x 6 Vanilla Bean Cupcakes + Free Sparkling Rocket Candle + Delivery Quite last minute and she still produced a stunning cake which tasted delicious as usual! Fabulous is the word I use to describe Cake-A-Lishious! I ordered an anniversary cake for my parents and I was overwhelmed. From start to finish, the service I recieved was faultless.
