I ordered my Blacken mahi sandwich with Old Bay fries and waited at a table for it to arrive. When it did, all I can say is, wow! Might of been the best blackened fish sandwich I have ever had, wow! The fries could have had a little more seaoning on them, but I was here for the fish and it ruled. There is a generously sized and well stocked bar, perfect for an evening cocktail or beer. The service has always been pretty good and the food is well prepared and arrives quickly. The biggest draw to this place is the location, views, and ambiance. It's well themed in a bayou cabin style and offers a gorgeous view of the river while you dine or enjoy a drink. You can even camp or stay at the adjacent campground if you're planning on having a few. Definitely check it out.

I'd read a…read morelot about it in the weeks leading up to this event and was set on trying this truck out before I went to any others today. That's exactly what I did. The menu offers several types of grilled cheeses, including the "As You Wish" (come up with your own; $4), grilled cheese sliders (2 for $7), Cuban sliders (2 for $7.50) and Gouda burger sliders (2 for $8.50). Several different cheeses, including butterkase, are available. Macaroni & cheese also is offered; a side is $1.50, and a full order is $4.50. Since it was ridiculously hot out and I didn't want to try anything too extravagant, I decided to order a grilled Swiss cheese and tomato on Cuban bread. (This qualified for the $4 "As You Wish" deal.) Very good! Since I kept it simple, I didn't expect the most amazing grilled cheese ever, but the one I had is one of the better ones I've tried in town. The bread is very good. I'm impressed and will have to try another, and possibly more interesting, one at a later date. Soft drinks ($1), lemonade ($2) and strawberry lemonade ($2.75) are among the beverages offered. Coconut-lime bars ($1.50) and almond macaroons ($2.25) also are available. I now feel silly not ordering one of the bars and/or macaroons since I read earlier that the truck had them. Next time, for sure! The people at the truck are very friendly. A woman at a table sits outside the truck and takes orders, and children (presumably the owners' children?) help to serve the food after the cooks have prepared it. Cool! One child in particular was very friendly and probably thought I was a little crazy as I ordered, since I was soaking wet due to the unbelievable heat out there today; he asked if I wanted a beverage, and I said I didn't. Not sure what I was thinking there. Really could've gone for a strawberry lemonade ... I'm sure most local Yelpers who go to the food truck events will see this truck around. Give it a try! P.S. I was getting together with some friends and we ordered from Negril. Luckily, a couple of my friends are Jamaican and they helped steer me to some new faves! Food I'd highly recommend: - Brown stew chicken meal with rice and peas, fried plantain, and stewed cabbage. This dish is rich and has the potential for leftovers if you're not starving. For the uninitiated, Jamaican rice and peas consist of red kidney beans and rice that's cooked in broth, coconut milk, and tons of aromatic spices. This isn't your white rice and green peas type of situation. I could have eaten this rice on its own, but add in the brown stew sauce and WOW. Also, I love the cabbage side because it adds a vinegary note that offsets the rich stew. Note: The chicken is cut up and includes bones. - Coco bread: This is a Jamaican style bun baked with coconut milk. It's especially good when paired with a patty in the middle (yes, the coco bread around the patty! Carb heaven!). - Festival: Jamaican festival is a sweet fried dough made with cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and milk aka a dumpling. Yes this is as good as it sounds- especially for soaking up brown stew gravy! I was BLOWN away to see an entire veggie section of the menu (for online ordering) featuring soya veggie chunks (a soy based option with the consistency of chicken).
