First guest arrived to champagne service with a grazing station set out in our bar & lounge area, followed by servers with passed canapes of tuna crudo, bilinis with caviar and a few other incredible bites. Then followed a seated dinner that was absolutely phenomenal, we were all blown away. The dishes were simplistic with stunning plating but had a great deal of flavor. When I saw someone walk by with a bowl of jambalaya, I asked where it was from and if it was spicy. The man told me no and pointed me in the direction of the blue truck. When I got to the window, I asked if the jambalaya was spicy, the man said "no, It is full of spice but not spicy, it is family friendly." I said "I am going to trust you cause I don't do spicy. I'm like the worst Indonesian person ever." We took our boat of jambalaya back to our booth and my husband and I dug in. Three bites in, he says "I'm surprised you're eating this, it's pretty spicy." As I wipe the sweat (possibly tears) from under my eyes, I say "I don't care, it's that good. But I don't know how kids can eat this. Family friendly is a lie!" The End. Would I dine or dash?
