It was very busy but you can tell the staff was on top of everything and the music was literally such a vibe. It reminded me of just being around family enjoying a Sunday afternoon. Our waiter was friendly and offered the specials, not gonna lie we wanted to try everything. My husband and I enjoyed a michelada and our daughter had a Pepsi. We clearly ordered way too much much and had plenty to take home for dinner tomorrow. Everything was AMAZING! We're already planning our next trip out here. My daughter said 10/10! What we ordered: Calamari 6 steamed oysters Garlic noodles Clam chowder The REEL boil combo

We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

As I walk up from the parking lot, the river is on the right side and leads to a wide patio on the left for outdoor dinning. The dinning area inside, was spacious and love the fish painting on the walls. Was greeted right away but wait for about 10 mins before we got seated. The service was phenomenal, our waiter took our drinks and our order, even gave me a dessert on the house for my birthday. I was a little disappointed on my traditional eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was not good. My cousin did not like her crab melt. The clam chowder was really good, highly recommend! Otherwise, everyone else enjoyed their meal. I definitely want to come back for their dinner menu. FYI: the parking lot is a little hard to figure out. But, there's a self parking lot at the back of the hotel, so go around or do valet parking.

The restaurant is very inviting, trendy, and elegant not to mention it had a fabulous view of the river. The waiter gave us ample time to order and not once during the whole experience did we feel rushed. The steak was grilled to perfection & the potatoes were not crisp but was very tasty. The salad was beautifully presented. It had a potpourri of various fruit + vegetables. In addition to the salad were several large prawns. This restaurant also has a hotel run by The Westin. There is plenty of parking which offers valet for $12 or self parking for free in the back. This for me is a place I would recommend and a must go to if you're visiting Sacramento for the first time or if you're a local looking for a great meal at a decent price for any occasion.

The restaurant has that warm and lively Vietnamese feeling that is hard to find outside of Vietnam. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish came out fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. You can tell the chefs take pride in their cooking because every bite tasted authentic and reminded us of family meals and gatherings back home. The portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Whether you come for appetizers, seafood, grilled dishes, or traditional Vietnamese favorites, there is something for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights of the evening was the karaoke. The sound system was excellent, the song selection was great, and it created such a fun environment for families and friends to enjoy together. There is something special about eating delicious food, singing your favorite songs, laughing with loved ones, and making memories that will last a lifetime. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the night. They made sure we were comfortable and checked on us regularly even when the restaurant became busy. Their hospitality added even more to the experience. If you are looking for a place that truly captures the feeling of Vietnam with authentic food, great service, and fun karaoke entertainment, this is definitely the place to visit. It is more than just a restaurant÷it feels like a little piece of Vietnam right here in America. We will absolutely be coming back and bringing more family and friends with us next time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food, good music, and great company!

One of the best Vietnamese spot with exciting new dishes. I also talked to the owner, Mrs. Le and saw how much she put her heart and soul into every dish. Really respect since I'm working in the same field, hope this place goes booming ! We'll be back, 110% !

As soon as we get in, it's HOT. Like AC was broken or what? RED FLAG 1 - We still stayed. Got seated fairly quick and there are a few large parties and I worried about whether they would be able to handle it since I only saw 1-2 servers. The menu said "Soju" without a flavor listed so I asked what flavors they had and the server had no clue. RED FLAG 2. Another server came and said she thought they had xyz flavors and did I really want them to check. RED FLAG 3. I said yes. I'm not buying a $13 bottle of Soju (that costs $7) without knowing the flavor. We order some standard items that shouldn't have taken long, and the kids are getting very hungry. No status from anyone and it's been a long while. I finally get up and ask what's happening and it's clear they hadn't even started on our food. So I pay for our over-priced drinks and this place is off our list of things to try. i highly recommend calling ahead and asking about the crowd size and AC situation. They were definitely not able to handle the crowd, even though it wasn't even a full house.

As there are a lot of seafood options. However there is hotpot options and other noodle and rice dishes as well. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio. Inside has spacious table seating, some with booth and good lighting inside. There was ballad vietnamese music video playing. The restaurant was not busy and there were elderly men at the tables playing cards and some at another table they were chatting & drinking. Im not sure if they hold karaoke or have live bands but there is a stage with music instruments and a projector with installed party lights. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted right away. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water. If I'm craving for seafood, maybe I'll come back to try their seafood options.
