All the ladies were thrilled with how they looked. I watched Niki make each woman feel at ease and talk them through the experience. Niki light them up from the inside by asking about favorite memories from our friend group or about their kiddos. Our looks lasted all day! On my wedding day, I laughed, kissed, cried, danced, ate BBQ ribs- and my makeup stayed as perfect as the moment it was put on. I have a 6mo old daughter who started to melt down in the middle of my makeup application and Niki, being an awesome mama, asked if I needed to take a break to sooth my little one. She didn't make me feel like I was setting us back. When I came back with obvious tear streaks down my face, Niki didn't say anything about having to go back and fix work she had already done. She asked if the baby was sleeping and happy, asked if I needed water or anything and restarted when I was ready. I know it threw off the schedule but Niki took it in stride and focused on making me feel relaxed. This is EVERYTHING! lastly, there are so many little details that happen in the last days/hours leading up to you wedding and Nikis punctuality and professionalism made me feel at ease. I knew I would not have to worry about anything involving make-up because Niki had it handled. She was clear about what kind of space she would need and brought everything to stay self contained. As I said, I have been going to Ani for brow shaping and event makeup for years, she did my makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding. The salon is gorgeous, it would fit in with any salon here in NYC. I have gone to both Ashely and Briana for brows and makeup as well and as they have been trained by Ani and they are just as fabulous too. In her new salon, Ani has just introduced spray tanning and skin care services to her menu. With this long and cold winter my skin had been looking drab and dull and I thought for a facial and peel for $150 I can't loose. My peel was scheduled with Briana and all I have to say is WOW! The facial included an apple stem peel with 2 masks and serums. During the peel I listened to relaxing music and received a killer hand massage. I have had several chemical peels in my day, I guess you could say I am a bit of a connoisseur. This peel is on the lighter side and I have not experienced any peeling, so there is not 1 minute of downtime. No downtime - all results! Being in town from NYC I met with 2 friends for dinner right after my peel. They were raving about how soft my skin felt and how much my skin was glowing. The next day I had brunch with another friend and my skin looked so good I only put concealer on under my eyes and some mascara, my skin was on full display! I had 3 women ask me what foundation I was wearing throughout the day. If that isn't the best compliment, I don't know what is. I will wrap this up, don't walk - RUN to Ani's new location and make an appointment with Ani, Ashley and Briana stat!
