We arrived around noon on a recent Saturday and the place was completely empty. A group of four fairly loud men showed up shortly after us and inexplicably sat at a table near us, but that's obviously not the restaurant's fault. The menu contained plenty of tasty-looking entrees, but I figured I'd grab the dish with the name of the restaurant in it: the Tarboosh ("Combination of shawarma and falafel"). The concoction arrived to the table quite a while later, which was weird considering how empty the joint was, and sure looked impressive. I dove right in. Everything on the plate was tasty but not mind-blowing. The chicken shawarma had a few crispy pieces, which was appreciated, but was mostly unreasonably dry. (The two included sauces helped with that, at least.) The falafel was fresh but strangely light. It didn't really have a strong flavor of anything, really. I enjoyed eating it, but it definitely didn't remind me of traditional falafel. The hummus was creamy but lacking in a strong chickpea flavor (i.e. the concoction was overwhelmed by tahini, essentially). However, once I began eating everything together, I began enjoying everything a lot more. The included bread help, too, even though it was far from the best middle-eastern bread I've ever had. Tarboosh is a mixed bag, that's for sure. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I don't think I would travel to far to check it out, though.

Very close to square one shopping mall, this is a good option when you're in the area. There was one person in there working as far as we could tell when we went in this evening. We grabbed the box and some tacos. The box is a mix of rice and salad with a choice of filling (we got chicken) and it was topped with some beans, corn and chickpeas with some delicious sauce. The tacos were cool- not your typical Mexican taco with flour or corn tortilla. It was like a pita but crispy after being in the press with the filling and topped with lettuce, salsa and sauce. The sauces are a variety- some being hummus or a tahini which is where the fusion cuisine takes place. Would definitely come back.

Came by as I saw Alijandro's Kitchen still had a BOGO offer on Ubereats. I ordered Alijandro's box…read morewith Al Pastor chicken and garlic sauce, no spice ($14 for 2 boxes). Preparation was super quick. I ordered from the Square One parking lot before starting my car, and 15 mins later when I arrived, it was already ready. Food-wise, I'm a fan. While I enjoy shawarma, I often find it too heavy especially for summer, so I tend to stay away. I liked this chicken/rice box a lot since the sauce felt much lighter and easier to eat even when it's hot outside. The portion size was good; the styrofoam takeout box the meal came in was topped up and the amount in it would definitely be enough for one person. There was enough sauce, the whole bowl felt very fresh, and I liked the tomatoes that topped the bowl since it added something cold + tangy to the meal. Location is convenient, next to Square One and easy to find, but has limited (all paid) street parking. It's best to go with someone to drive, pop off quickly to pick up, and go. All in all a solid experience. I'd definitely come back for more Alijandro's Box. At the BOGO price I got it for, portion size was great, but at the original price, I'd think it leans towards being pricey, as the box isn't really that full. But, flavour and freshness are all really good, so I can anticipate myself craving this soon!

We didn't have to wait long before the food was served. The chicken came off the bone so easily, and it was nicely seasoned as well. The dish came on a large bed of rice and a delicious lentil soup, along with dipping sauce. The price was pretty affordable given the size as well. The place was brightly lit and there was lots of space each time I went. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I am usually that person who does this like lamb as much coz of the smell but trust me when I say, this was the softest and juiciest no-smell lamb I have ever had. It was melt-in-your-mouth soft and packed with flavor! The rice portion was enough for 2-3 people to share depending on how hungry you are. It also comes with fried onions and potato on the rice. The chicken and lamb mixed mandi was good too but honestly after trying the lamb, I was sold! However, I did like the rice on the chicken mandi better than the lamb one. I thought it tasted better. The place was quite busy and it's an order-at-counter system they follow but the food was brought in quickly which is appreciated.
